One thing that is important to elaborate on. When he says "Gravity matter". It fucking matters. The stand alone water pump will only move water UP. As of this comment, it may be glitched, but I was only able to get water to flow, using a regular pump, from a lower location TOO a higher location. I was only able to do this by connecting ALL hoses to the left side (WHEEL SIDE) of the standalone pump. My understanding is it's designed to bring water from lower altitude and pour it into higher altitude. Theoretically, it should have a (IN) port and an (out) port. As of now, it appears to only have one. Please let me know if you've experienced anything different. Based on this video, this should be correct.

Thanks. On my previous server, I somehow managed to set-up ground pump->pump->dirty water storage tank->filtration system->purified water tank. Now, I'm on another server I can't seem to replicate what I did before. Thanks to your video, I figured I need proper elevation for my system to work. Spent the last 30 minutes last night trying to delete pipes and what not. Kudos.
This helped me a bunch, thanks so much! As a two floor build, I was able to have my water storage and water purifiers on the same level (first floor). I built two tables and placed my three water purifiers on the tables. This allowed the piping to gravity feed the purified water into my water storage!
This video is a life saver. Didn't have any clue how this works and now I know, thanks man 👍🏼

you can place to water pump on a higher floor so you don´t need a pump for the dirty water to the filter.building the water pump on the second floor a little higher then the filter works.so no need to unlock the pump.
if you want to do it on 1 level, use a wooden wide step with a wood ceiling and put the purifier on the ceiling floor piece, run the tub to the container and boom.

Also, I think you can eliminate the second pump in the equation if you press Alt+scroll while building the first pump to raise the height from the ground. Then you can put it straight to your filter without the second pump.

How do you pull up salt? i have the water pump going straight into the water tank and it's not pulling water, but when i put it up to the compact water filter i get dirty water right away.
Go to the sea and collect sea water and then use a stove to turn it into salt
My pump says power outage when it’s connected to my hydro generator
So when using a water pump on a normal river you‘ll just pump up salt not water?

my water pump (small one) is pumping really really slow. like 1 dirty water every 2 minutes...
You can actually place the bigger water pump at the edge of a foundation. Then you can cover it with another foundation

Yes! You'll get the materials and then you just have to rebuild it and reconnect the pipes. I've moved my base a few times and the groundwater pump has been the only thing I need to rebuild

how do you disconnect pipes and wires? i cant seem to figure it out without destroying and rebuilding :(
As far as I know, you need to destroy and rebuild the item it's connected to. Let me know if you figure out another way!
@@MattyGorm I figured it out 😁 you can destroy them with "R" (same as destroy building structures) by hovering over wires and pipes until either the pipes/wires stop flashing and the opacity is slightly see through!

For some reason mine only pulls up oil and not water...
If it's on an oil field, it will pull crude oil

I can't connect the pipe from the bigger water pump to the smaller, can u help ?
It could be a bug unfortunately. It should be just pressing V on the large pump and then the same on the small pump (in build mode). Perhaps try rebuilding both?

You'll need to connect the pumps and filter to power at your base for them to function.

Not sure what I've done wrong. I connected my water to the pump to the water filter then the tank. The thing is it's showing power/water moving from the filter to the pump to my water on the ground. Is it a visual bug?

Are the pumps and filters powered? It may be a visual bug if so.
I for went the other pump. I just raised up my water pumps up as high as I could get them.

This whole system is just fucking stupid. I'm following this to a T and it will not worl like it did on my last server. I have quit playing this game 2 days in a row soley due to not being able to set up my farm
If you had started the video with the graph at 2:47, I would give you a likee. Wasting everyone's 3 minutes and trying to waste 10 minutes for 10 seconds worth of actual information means no upvote and you get called a time waster. By all means make the video 10 minutes long Ill still upvote it, but only if you put the relevant info in the first 30 seconds, TIME WASTER!!!!
