- Always love making simple bookmarks with scrap watercolor paper, and for this one I decided to create something simple for everyone at all levels including beginners. Hopefully this is easy enough for you to follow along to and for you to enjoy creating! Happy painting ^_^

Paper: Scrap watercolor paper 300gsm
Brushes: vtec size 2 and WN sceptre gold II size 0

These would make cute gift tags too. I really like these quick simple paintings. They are a good way to get some art in when I don't have a lot of time. Thank you so much. You are so good at tutorials.

I love making bookmarks, and these are wonderful! Love your style and great narrative instructions. I give these things away at places like bank tellers, grocery store checkouts, and just anywhere, and to both friends and total strangers. I really seems to make people happy, which we all can use more of, what with the state of the world lately. Thanks for this lovely tutorial.

Beautiful Nia! My favorite is the eucalyptus. So pretty, I’ve got to give it a go. I like how you kept the paint quite watery. I’ve been doing that more lately and loving the results. One can always add a glaze on top for more vibrancy. Thank you for sharing. Blessings to you!
I still need to find the balance of using light to dark with lighter consistencies, so this was really fun to use that technique with such an easy subject haha Have a great day ^_^

Love the simple elegance! I also wanted to let you knkw that last year, I ordered an Inprint dotgrid journal based on your recommendation and enjoyed it a lot. This next journal I got is from Archer & Olive and it is 100% the same paper and most likely made by the same production company as Inprint, but it is more expensive. So, to anyone interested in dotgrid journaling with *light* watercolors, water based markets and inks, Inprint is yhe same as Archer & Olive, minus a few bells and whistles like the gold metal logo on one bookmark and a tighter elastic pen holder. Everything else is identical.

I just got a watercolor set a few days ago and had no idea how to use them. This video is perfect, I love that it is small and useful too. I really like the beauty, simplicity and the teaching style of doing a drawing first which adds greater depth of understanding. Subscribed!

Very pretty. I liked how you made highlights on the berries. Plus how you kept the design simple at first. Plus, I liked the dots on your eucalyptus leaves when they were still wet.
But most of all, I liked how you drew out your concept on a separate piece of paper first. It went a long way in conceptualizing what you were actually doing while putting down color. That was a helpful bit, because color can distract from the design idea.
