Thank you bert im using your video as a reference for sure again just a suggestion. There is no question about all you do for the rc community and we can not say thank you enough. I be following all your hard work thank you and Alex again.
Meilleurs voeux 2025.
Either way. There is a handover throttle setting on RotorFlight. If it sees a percentage above that then its governor takes over. Either way it doesn’t matter. Just test on the bench without blades.
Hello Bert, how to have a switch for autorotation? I was thinking of creating a profile 4 for autorotation. But I don't know how to do it in edgetx because I have switches of only 3 positions on the tx16s.
So you have to create a mix to change the location of the PWM signal on the channel that is tied to your banks. You can use the "special functions" screen and do it as an override. This will allow you to create a "bank 4". This bank 4 can have the autorotation bail out mode. I am not sure how to do this with the RF governor, but if you use the built-in HobbyWing governor, you can set the throttle value on bank 4 to something between 25 and 28% and tie it to the switch you want for auto bail out, then when you release, the HobbyWing will spool up fully in 1 second instead of the normal 10-20 seconds. I will do a video about it soon.
Bert please show how to get your file and how to get it on the radio and how to use it. Do we put it in the command line in rotoflight. If your looking at the number of videos this is a suggestion so it can be put in bite size chucks. 1. Building a new model, firmware update binding and flashing. (Covered) 2. The control screens making sure controls are going in the right way and the controls are mapped correct and the heli on screen is moving in the right direction. Wiring how things are connected to nexus wires going front or wires point to the tail. 3. The motors tab and settings needed, looking at battery voltage and rpm. 4. Setting up the tail servo. Minimum and max setting. 5. Setting up switches in rotoflight (must be in rotoflight to set switches) setting up the flight timer. Setting up flight modes norm. Stunt 1 and 2. (Auto rotation switch if needed) Setting expo on one switch (elevator, Aileron, rudder example 10%, 15% 20%) not 3 switches. Rescue mode. Pitch, throttle curves if needed. 6. Pid tuning and Blackbox needs. (can you use castle creation with nexus along with others that are not on the list) Calibrating the esc. 4. Servos tab setting servo centers, setting the minimum and max, servo frequency. Making sure the compensation is going in the right way. Setting the minimum and max on pitch and setting with pitch you want 12.5 , 13, ect.
Hey Bob, I don’t do videos for a living. They’re extremely time consuming and I have 3 jobs that keep me super busy. With this said I’m doing what I can slowly. Just be patient with me as I keep uploading content. There are plenty of resources online about this already. I’ll get there soon 🙏
This is the simplest most straight forward video I have found thus far on this topic!
Thank you 🙏
Bert this is such a cool evolution to be witnessing! Thanks for your involvement with this ecosystem.
Thanks to you and Alex for taking time to put these videos together. GREAT information
This video was so so helpful !! Thank you . Keep them coming
thanks. definitely helped me figure out a few things i was struggling with. looking forward to the rest of the series.
Loving this ❤merry Christmas looking forward to more Nexus setups.
thanks for you making this video. help me alot. 🙂

Thank you 🙏 I’m trying to make these in logical sequence and add them to a list so people can eventually watch them in order 😀
Thank you guys for doing this....
Awesome content! Keep it up.

i hope you make one for rotorflight as well, for basics flying 🙂
Awesome, thanks so much for doing this.
Good stuff!!!
Bert can you do a nitro radio setup. Thanks for the radiomaster nexus videos
Are you guys going to keep making videos on set up ? Like setting up pitch and servo settings , bail out for auto rotation ? And stuff like that?
Your heli rack is very handy- some kind of extrusion?
I'll make sure Alex answers you.
My rack is old 700 blades. I drilled the end out and used a 1x2 spacer behind it and attached to the wall. been there for 10 years!

Hi Bert this video suggests you’re using the Rotor-flight gov vs ESC gov (100% throttle)?
Either way. There is a handover throttle setting on RotorFlight. If it sees a percentage above that then its governor takes over. Either way it doesn’t matter. Just test on the bench without blades.
