The first step to improvement is self-addressing issues, but we need to consider the next step in how we need to build ourselves from there.
I was thinking he saw his doppelganger, which was his other self, and that he want sure, maybe even doubtful, until the last minute but unfortunately couldn't save his other self and as a result lost himself even more.
