- We were asked to do the inwall and get inspection before connecting to the main.
We don’t normally do this but this what we came up with as we had to purge backwards!
When working with MedGas outlets it’s always best to wrap them with wet rags in order to avoid heat damage to the o rings it has inside. Prevents leaks in the future when you pressurize or install finish.

love the content brother, should post more often!! what state is this?
Where do you get that adapter from to go into the outlet?
You should always build everything out and test it first. Tie-in to the main should be the last thing you do without a purge, never purge against a system! I'm assuming this is a remodel/addition. If it's all new construction please feel free to tell me to zip it!
They’re installing Oxygen, Medical air, Medvac, and Waste anesthetic gas disposal systems. They’re using nitrogen to displace all of the oxygen out of the system so they can braze the correct way. After this they’ll do their initial blowdown and then their purge test. They’re not done yet lol. This is the textbook way to braze med gas pressurized/vacuum systems.
@noahbell7297 is there a book to learn more on step by step when installing zones, and outlets and purging steps that could be looked up ?
@@noahbell7297 I thought I'd read somewhere that the initial blow down gets done before the installation of rough inlet/outlet bodies? I'm getting old, my memory must be slipping! My personal preference would be to not blow any debris through those o-rings and poppets.
@@zackhurley9148 NFPA 99 medical gas guidelines, I have the books at home I’ll reply back later for the exact title.
@@robmay2489 you’d be correct, personally i do both. Before and after installation just in case. Even if you do a repair on a singular fitting it needs to be blown / purged again
how many pounds of flow do u keep flowing through while brazing?
No pounds, just flow
@@rodgraff1782 depends on how many open ends or outlets, usually 5-10 cfm on the flow meter
Is that torch's tip custom made?
you can actually purchase them like that
