Hey guys! Fellow Christian here (and bass player in my local church). I want you to know that I appreciate your commitment to bringing people together to worship God!
I have a question...Why does it seem as though creativity in worship music has stagnated over the past 5- 10 years? Our Church worship teams usually plays the "newest hit" songs...and they all sound the same to me! Same drumming, same guitar sound, same song structure etc. I also know that you're trying to make worship the focus and not the music (and that can get jumbled up sometimes) but I can't shake the feeling that most worship leaders these days stick to what is "safe, marketable, familiar, comfortable, predictable and will illicit the proper emotional response" Sorry if that sounds harsh/ judgmental...I'm not against what you're doing, I guess I'm hoping that We Christians would express more Creativity in worship music...ok rant over 🖖
You're not a true worshiper 🥺
