10000% true ATB story right here… After their original singer Nick left, right before Rareform was released, they practiced in a house in St Paul off of Dale. I lived in that basement bedroom and would wake up Saturdays to them practicing feet away from me. I woke up one day in particular to them ripping Berzerker and walked out of the room. Mind you, there was only a wall separating us. I walked out and they finished the song and Justin said “Oh shit, we didn’t know anyone was home sorry dude.” To which I responded “After the Burial is my alarm clock, what’s cooler then that?” Awesome dudes. Love reconnecting with Trent and Dan whenever I see them. Twin Cities Crush. Been with them since they played “the rock” in maple wood to a room of 50 people. Long live ATB.
I remember seeing them at the rock as well in a battle of the bands. Trent was rocking i believe a bc rich guitar with spiked wristbands on and Justin had a blueish purple Ibanez. Its amazing to see how far they've come. Love this band.
@@steveshetler6654 yep!! Trent’s spikes. I have a photo from that night somewhere. Didn’t realize it was a BOTB, but yes, I was at that show in like 2007?
Was that a show when Nick did a barrel role over the back of another guy on stage? Just dug out their 3 song demo from before Forging! My buddies (in Less Spoken) opened for them a few times. My claim to fame was opening for ATB with LS as the stand in guitar at a coffee shop in St Cloud. I love ATB. Edit: I mis-read your comment, this was a little before Forging came out.
Smoked doobies with them in Duluth in their tour van. Been to all their triple rock shows. Even the one where Nick came back to do full guest vocals after rareform. Amazing times my friend.
Thanks, glad his spirit lives on through the band. He was an awesome dude. I knew him since childhood. He introduced me to Meshuggah before I'd ever heard of them and as a Pantera/Hatebreed fan I wasn't sure what to think about it. Took me a long time to see what he saw in the style. With Trent they turned it into their own style. Justin was the greatest guy too. Bumped into him after they went on their first international tour at the grocery store. He was asking me all about my life, couldn't get a question in myself. Miss you Justin. You made your mark on the world and we all still see you when we hear the music.
After the Burial is the soundtrack to my entire life; from their start during my high school days (2005ish), my college days (2005-6ish), my tours in Iraq and Afghanistan (2008-2010), my marriage (2011), the birth of my child (2015), my lowest low (2014), my highest highs (2015 to present day), and every mundane and monumental day in-between... and, to be quite honest, they will likely be the last band I listen to before I leave this world (in, god willing, sixty more years.) And at the risk of sounding insanely over dramatic, I owe my life to these gentlemen (see "lowest low" above.) I mean that with more gravity and more sincerity than I can ever properly articulate. That is the truth; that is the reality of my life. And I can never say thank you enough. Truly, THANK YOU guys.
@@chrisg334 I know this might be obvious to someone so adept at analyzing internet comments, but "high school days" can refer to just one year-- or even just a few months, as months are, in fact, composed of "days." And even crazier (ready for this?), people can-- and often do-- start college the same calendar year that they graduate high school. But thanks for your anachronistic pedantism, what would the world do without people like you?
I'll never get tired of new ATB songs because they always put a smile on my face and make me want to pick up my guitars and write....or at least fuck around.
Nothing Gold Can Stay Robert Frost 1874 -1963 Nature’s first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf’s a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay. Hands down my favorite poem. This definitely makes this band a new fave for me.
2008 riffage vibes with some sick atmospheric layers, fast, punchy, creative breakdowns and emotional vocals. After the Burial just dropped an After the Burial in a nutshell and I fking love it, this is the type of song the fills you with inspiration
I was a teenager when I first them, as many of my fellow fans were. I’m now 31 and the music still means as much as it ever did. Thank you for continuing to gift to us these hits.
Everything about this band is amazing. The best vocalist ever. The best riffs. The best melodies and solos. I love it. Rareform-Evergreen and more to come, I'm stoked!
The combination of the sludgy tempo of the snare is the perfect blend for speed and bursts of the double bass. All his songs are like this. Just makes for a heavier sound. Dan is a fucking machine!
I can’t help but to be inspired and feel uplifted when I hear ATB. They have groove that you can bounce to and brutality that you can bang your head to . Im sure I look crazy air drumming when I listen to this on my headphones as I walk down the street !
wow and to think i just re-started listening to their old stuff for the past two weeks, that was clearly a sign that more new good would come from them
I commend you guys, I personally was devastated by Justin's untimely demise. He was the reason I tried to play guitar and will forever be dearly missed. R.I.P. Justin Lowe. Be at peace brother, we will meet again soon.
Evergreen is one of my all time favorite albums. I'm stoked that you guys are continuing to experiment with the sound that you established with that album.
Been waiting a while now, was stoked to see this in my feed... brought happiness in a time of darkness.. there truly is nothing gold. Thank you for ALWAYS bringing FAT breakdowns and amazing songs to bring peace to my madness.
I was introduced to you guys in basic training back in rare form days, I’ll never forget and never stopped listening, I’m a gym rat also your riffs your lyrics all the jams have fueled many a great workout! Thank you guys!
They never cease to fucking pump me full of euphoria. I love this band so damn much. Every release they push that damn bar while still keeping it G and true to their sound. 🐐🐐🐐🔥🔥🔥
You will forever be my favorite band. I love you guys and the music you make at a level that words cannot even describe. I hope you guys never break up.
This doesn't sound like any other album. In other words, ATB is still keeping up. LET'S GO I'VE BEEN STARVING FOR NEW MUSIC FROM YOU GUYS FOR SO LOOOOOOOONG
Zero disrespect to anyone else , but these guys are the only OG Sumerian band I still listen to often ( the rest are great , I just lost connection .) . Stay epic ATB
Final melodies goosebumped me like the ones in Wolves Within album. Like how more modern rythmic-groovy atb mixes with more melodic Justin's era atb. It's just perfect!
I saw these dudes with As I Lay Dying at the Black Sheep Colorado springs. Must have been 2011. We are getting old man. It's hard to believe it was 12 years ago
Oct 11, 2011 - After The Burial / Veil Of Maya at Launchpad - had a sesh with some of you boys (rolled by Lerichard) and Mark from Veil after the show. Great memory. Amazing and genuine people. Keep creating for us all
Just seems like yesterday the year was 2006 and hearing ATB for the first time. You will forever be Minnesotas home town heroes.
As a fellow Minnesotan, I approve this message.
Twin city legends
Bro more then Minnesota heroes! Everyone heroes!
Seeing these guys next in May in Minneapolis is going to be a fucking TREAT
Minnesota represent! ATB is amazing live!

Hello Zach
RIP Justin Lowe. Thank your helping build an amazing group of guys ❤
@JwShreds Def now my friends are gear nuts because of him. We take our hours trying find the right tone. Especially for bass
Yeah this is what happens when the talent of the band dies.
So does the band.
If Justin was alive he would die after seeing this shit.
As soon as I heard this song , I couldn't help but think of Justin.... thanks brother..for everything !!

Wish Justin was still here the only og member is Trent.
I feel like ATB truly holds the crown of this style of djent metalcore. It’s just PURE.
Them and Erra, for sure! 🤘
For sure, I feel this is especially true for their album In Dreams
My favourite band after Meshuggah.
Agreed 💯 \m/

Hands down my favorite poem. This definitely makes this band a new fave for me.
those vocals sounding more powerful than ever. Also Dan is a criminally underrated drummer. ATB has never put out a bad song.
Their vocalist has been on point for the longest time and shows no signs of slowing down. Love it.
ATB's riffs melt my heart like no other. Forever my comfort band. Thank you for not disappointing. 🖤🔥
i seriously start to peacefully drift mentally when i hear their ethereal material. the older riffs, ~break~ my heart like no other. 💔🪦
Ik. I was so happy when I heard this song. It's perfect.
It's not disappointing but it's not atb.
This song was shit.
Worst sound to come out from them
Justins death has killed the band too.
these dudes are amazing live. Great stage presence and active with the crowd. These dudes rock
Man I missed ATB. Welcome back !!! Set ablaze 🔥
🔥
I hope ATB and Shadow of Intent could tour somewhat down the road... Management set it off✅️🔥🔥
Holy fuck this rips from start to finish
one of the best songs of 2023, unarguably ❤
2008 riffage vibes with some sick atmospheric layers, fast, punchy, creative breakdowns and emotional vocals. After the Burial just dropped an After the Burial in a nutshell and I fking love it, this is the type of song the fills you with inspiration
This is nothing like their old shit.
You have fuck all clue with what you are talking about.
Missing everything the band has going for them
I've been jamming Laurentian Ghosts alot again lately...thinking of you guys in this journey we call life
That and neo seoul are my favorites that never get old
The day has arrived. We are blessed with a new song from After the Burial!!!
The scene transitions in 1:50 and 4:06 are impeccable! Erez Bader did a phenomenal job. 🖤🖤

Oh my god I’ve been waiting so long for new stuff from them, and they didn’t disappoint!! Banger
Evergreen vibez. Dig it🖤
Agreed !! 🩶☺🤘
Tbh, this is peak After the Burial for me. Chugs, strong timings for the narrative of the song and some clean parts (sometimes in major tones)
They don't miss! Incredible band over 10 years!
The vocalist's sounds like his screams have aged like fine wine. Like jesus once said, "I think you nailed it."
The mixing and sound quality sounds really good.....Realy Crispy and punchy... thank you...
The combination of the sludgy tempo of the snare is the perfect blend for speed and bursts of the double bass. All his songs are like this. Just makes for a heavier sound. Dan is a fucking machine!
I've loved ATB since their 3 song demo CD. (2005?) Each album progresses the genre and keeps me hooked!
Sounds RAW…they sipping from the fountain of youth.
Out of every band signed by sumerian records, Born of Osiris and After the Burial are the only ones keeping it real!
How is this band not the biggest band on the planet?
I can’t help but to be inspired and feel uplifted when I hear ATB. They have groove that you can bounce to and brutality that you can bang your head to . Im sure I look crazy air drumming when I listen to this on my headphones as I walk down the street !
wow and to think i just re-started listening to their old stuff for the past two weeks, that was clearly a sign that more new good would come from them
❤ I wouldve never played 8 string if not for ATB. I love how you know WHATS coming but never HOW. They stay fresh, always! RIP JL
They did it again. Absolutely blew me away. This song rocks. ATB is by far top 3 most talented bands ever.
Welcome on my alltime Playlist. What an earworm.
They always have the most serene background melodies and that typical chunky ATB guitar sound on top, got to love it
I really like liked 0:00 - 4:15 ... my favorite part of the song
After The Burial has finally returned and they didn't disappoint!
In love with the guitars, without is nothing. love this band so much. come to Idaho

I can't even begin to express how badly I needed new music from this band. THANK YOU.
This track is an instant classic.
What are the odds? I was just listening to a song from them on my recommended page for the first time in years and now they drop new material??
This guys never fail to deliver both heaviness and melodicness to a god tier level
Evergreen is one of my all time favorite albums. I'm stoked that you guys are continuing to experiment with the sound that you established with that album.
ATB, please perform here in the Philippines
Best ambiant melodic metalcore on the planet, been riding the ATB train since 2000s
ATB has been with me for over 16 years.....
So stoked for Atb can't wait for the new album.I play this all day
That riff progression at 2:55 is absolutely heavenly ❤ long live ATB
That part made me tear up. 🥲
Been waiting a while now, was stoked to see this in my feed... brought happiness in a time of darkness.. there truly is nothing gold. Thank you for ALWAYS bringing FAT breakdowns and amazing songs to bring peace to my madness.
This band has been through so much and yet they still deliver the refreshing Metal sound.

GOD DAMN I love this band so much. I have rewinded and re-played the major breakdown at 2:00 literally at least 60 times today alone.
Every album they drop is a banger, while getting better with age. Keep up the phenomenal work!
This doesn't sound like any other album. In other words, ATB is still keeping up. LET'S GO I'VE BEEN STARVING FOR NEW MUSIC FROM YOU GUYS FOR SO LOOOOOOOONG
That’s because they’re running out of Justin Lowe riffs.
@@davexawolf922 I was thinking the same. It’s sounding like Justin wrote all those sick Phrygian riffs from past albums.
Favorite band. New favorite song. Let’s fuckin’ go. Can’t wait to see ‘em live again. Wish they’d come show St. Louis some love again.
When just the opening makes my brain tingle and floods my body with pulsating dopamine. Thank you
Zero disrespect to anyone else , but these guys are the only OG Sumerian band I still listen to often ( the rest are great , I just lost connection .) . Stay epic ATB
So so so so fucking good. I love you guys so much. Can’t wait to hear these songs on the Eternal Blue tour!!
song of the year. period.
