ASH 26 & IKURA sky raiders

- This is a video of my ASH 26 and Jeremy's IKURA at Mission Peak Regional Preserve in Northern California. It was a great day to soar both 4-meter gliders, riding thermals up, followed by diving speed runs. The wind speed was ranging between 12 to 20 mph with enough thermic activity for one para-glider, one hang glider, and our two R/C sailplanes to soar up, and raid the sky with ease.

Nice slope you have there and good / smooth flying of you both
Hello Thomas, it was great to meet you at Soar Utah this year. Already looking forward to hanging out and flying again soon.
So amazing, the energy retention! Both ships really rip! Looks like tons of fun! :)
That day was a blast. We really enjoyed the opportunity to experience that type of flying at nearby foothills.
So much fun! I had a blast flying with you reading the sky. 😎
Right on buddy, I am still smiling from last week's fun. Thanks for talking me into hiking up with the ASH 26. It was so fun raiding the sky together. You flew great with your ballasted IKURA in rather light conditions, love the sounds it makes on speed passes. Thanks for a great day of soaring with good company.
Looks like a perfect day. Steve and I should of been there!!!!! See ya soon
Hi Jeff, it was a nice day, you and Steve would have been tearing it up for sure. Look forward to flying with you again. Cheers
Looks like the Perfect day sunny blue skies and RC gliders. I am heading to my local slope "Traprain Law " in Bonny Scotland. Happy Days.
Thanks for watching and posting. We lucked out, the conditions were splendid, and the soaring was tops. I just looked up "Traprain Law", what an amazing site with rich history and huge slope face with great lift potential. You are so lucky to have that as your local slope, WOW!
@@Planekrazy1 Yes Traprain is Lovely and only 10 mins from my back door, You guys can fly really really well Love the videos keep them coming.
Great that you have such a beautiful site nearby and many more in your beautiful country. Thanks for sharing and your kind words.
Nice whistling sounds. You guys seems to have awesome flying conditions.
Yes these gliders seem to have a whistling problem LOL, we missed you big time buddy.
Mega 😎👍👌
Man that ASH rips! Super jealous….
Thanks Red, means a lot coming from you. You are more than welcome to fly it anytime. Always enjoy your amazing designs, builds, and fast flying.
😎
Feeling is mutual, I always want to go flying after watching your awesome videos 😎
How do you get up there do you have to hike or can you drive?
We hiked.
Thanks for this video. There is really a lot of wind and big slopes where you are flying. In my region it's the opposite, the slopes are small and the wind very light. I had to back up the center of gravity of my IKURA a lot to be able to fly more or less correctly in recent years in these conditions and not to use the flaps which brake too much. On the other hand I have the "snap-flap". Have you tried moving the center of gravity back? How far from the leading edge did you put it?
Below is the link of my tests in weak conditions.
