Companion: ".....................................you mean like that blood-dripping axe in your hand?" *slowly hides axe behind back* ".....I dunno what you're talking about." but seriously, I have had one time when I went to rescue a kidnapped citizen, and by the time I got to them, they had been killed by some necromancers soooo....maybe just take your time and let him out while there's still fighting? Also, a while back I used the Draw mod on Nazeem, and I'm not exactly sure what happened but when I shouted the challenge to him and was getting ready to punch him, all of a sudden Ysolda and Carlotta started wailing on him soon as he turned hostile towards me and then everyone in the marketplace was just beating the crap out of him until he finally died. I think it might've been the ally/friend system of skyrim kicking in and them defending me but it was pretty hilarious either way.
Skyrim is my most absolute favorite game, I love playing it. It's immersive and seemingly endless content no other game can match. You have wild beasts that don't attack you on sight unless you're looking for a fight with a Cave Bear, so you can travel on foot and enjoy the fantastic scenery then go into a Crypt or Dungeon, and they will attack you on sight. You set the pace of the game yourself not having to kill everything, including birds try to kill you, Far Cry. Except for the Hold Guard pricks, who have to say shit like: "Let me guess? Someone stole your sweet roll? Which I have at times, proceeded to kill all the guards in the city who come after me, racking up a 20,000 Gold bounty in Solitude once. Of course, as you make friends with the people in the hold the guards begin treating you better as a whole. I'm new to your videos and really love them, and your humor which isn't mindless like others but well-timed and on cue. And yeah, an Iron Stanima damaging ax for killing ten bears sucks and I would kill that Nazeem bastard with my own bare hands.
I think what many people miss, even after all these years is that Skyrim wants you to play an evil criminal type character. Right from the start they set the stage; you're on your way to have your head chopped off for crimes best left to your imagination. They(the makers) really want you to embrace your dark side. If you want a true challenge, try a zero crime run, and see how that goes. You miss out on so much by being good.
I always get the Bear quest much later because I never rushed the main quest. It's a better reward then finding all the Crown gems (it'd take elevation to supreme God to make that worthwhile).
Vilkas: Nazeem has been kidnapped. You can find him at... Dragonborn: Wait, what? Vilkas: Nazeem has been kidnapped. Dragonborn: *excitedly* Really?! Vilkas: Uh... yeah... you need to go save him. Dragonborn: *sighs* FINE! I'll get to it... eventually... maybe... if I have time... *Dragonborn finally frees Nazeem from Frostmere Crypt* Nazeem: Do you get to the... Dragonborn: *slits Nazeem's throat* Oh, no! They killed him before I got here.
During the Imperial vs Stormcloak questline all the guy gave me was an enchanted fire Elven sword. I felt incredibly wronged and used because they gave me nothing to show for it.
Dark brotherhood and thieves guild dragonborn: *can buy literally everything* Companion guild: Hey I cleared that dungeon! Now what? Uh your respected I guess?
No reason to go to ivarstead. I summited the throat of the world by just jumping up the side. Also reached the literal peak by doing the same. I love sequence breaking.
Stones of Barenziah quest is the worst imo. Spend an entire game looking for these stones, some only accessable during certain points of the game (like buying the most expensive house in Skyrim) only to be rewarded with a crown that has a boost to find gems when looting. That's it. All that time and effort, to be rewarded with a trophy crown that doesn't do anything.
um, how about the reward (or lack thereof) when you finish the civil war quest? the fact that they pretty much tell you to get lost as soon as you kill ulfric or tullius? also, everything to do with the bard college: that they call you a bard for fetching a book and that's it. sure, you get to level up some skills when you do the other fetch (i mean "radiant" ) quests, but you don't even get the ability to sing or play any musical instruments. and of course, the reward for beating the main quest: everyone still treating you like shit, lol
*Went to the dungeon to rescue kidnapped citizen.* Me: Alright you bandits! Release the citizen or taste my steel! Bandits: Thank the Divines and Daedra you are here! Go inside and take him away, we can't stand him. You can take our weapons and armour too. Me: Hmm...okay(That's weird) *Saw Nazeem in a cage* Nazeem: Have you been to the cloud district... Me: F**k this shit...(walks away) The only quest in my journal that will be incomplete after 99999hrs of playthrough.
I didn't kill him. But when I tried to rescue him he started engaging a bandit. Remember, I didn't kill him... I did however watch as he fell before the bandit. I watched him suffer and his cries for mercy as his only hope stared smiling
I feel like something bad happened to grelod, like she had kids and they got killed so she started hoarding children calling it an orphanage but not letting them get adopted because she wanted to keep them as long as she could, so she wouldn’t be alone. Because she says something about “that my darlings is why you are here until the day you come of age and get thrown into that wide horrible world.” Grelod is horrible, but she’s safer than the outside world in a way. And she’s bitter, something had to make her that way.
Yeah… they really could have fleshed out the “destroy the dark brotherhood” quest line. I don’t much care about only getting 3k gold. You make so much money in the game anyway. I just think it would have been cool if there was a quest line that made destroying them more interesting.
If you do Jaree Ra's mission in solitude and eventually get to broken oar grotto there are 4 bear pelts, a few on the table and I think shelf (been a while sorry if I'm wrong) and some uo top near the first blackblood marauders.
Solution to #1: Always do an evil build so you use the DB to your advantage. Now you'll never be tempted to kill Astrid (well, that early in the game anyway). Solution to #2: I did run across this one . . . . and I killed him with the Mace of Molag Bal and trapped his soul in The Black Star . . . I haven't used the Star because I don't want the Ideal Masters to suffer with Nazeem's annoying existence plaguing the Soul Cairn. Solution to #3: I just killed everyone in Ivarstead during my first playthrough . . . . each one with their own special soul gem.
@@ValuableBlueberry I honestly don't remember this comment. And I'm not wasting my time re-watching this video to figure out why I left it. Probably killed them because a quest wasn't working.
I really feel like i or someone with more time and a less broken pc should make a mod that goes over all the quest rewards and gives them better or at least more appropriate rewards... maybe big ones like killing TDB should have effects on shops and world events and stuff... Also one that properly lets people join or kill off any of the factions (even npc ones like necromancers or hags) if they do the right tasks and provides quests within those groups that are interesting... And yeah, i usually activate the quest then hold onto the pelts till late game (along with extras) to try and get a really good weapon to spawn via save loading haha. But tis still kinda sucky :-/
This one time i was doing a quest for ulfric stormcloak i destroyed a whole fort of imperials and then a dragon attacked the fort and i had to kill that too but when i got back to windhelm my reward for killing over 50 or more imperials and one tanky ars dragon was on iron sword and 100 gold
Nazeem isn't a quest reward. He's a quest objective in this instance. What should have been on the list, in my opinion, is the reward from Maven Black-Briar for completing the Honningbrew Meadery quest. She's wealthy and influential, you're told she pays well, and what do you get? A cheap dagger. Most underwhelming reward for a major quest. Especially considering that not only do you have to do the core quest objectives, you also have to fight a whole legion of diseased skeevers and Hamelyn, a deadly psychopathic mage you were never told about. Thanks for nothing, Maven.
The wiping out of the Brotherhood also doesn't grant an achievement like joining it does, for those who try to get them all. Usually one gets granted if you pick either of the two options, but not this one.
The reward for killing the Dark Brotherhood is getting to kill those assassins who have been sending assassins at you for months. Wish you could kill the vampire child.
At least there's no plot twist somewhere that you have to give Nazeem 10 bear pelts to receive an "I love Nazeem" fangirl armor pin without any special treatment. If anything, after the mission, Nazeem will become twice as loud.
You get like 4X the amount of gold for figuring out the ash spawn problem in Raven Rock(10,000 Gold) than killing the entire Dark Brotherhood single handily(3,000 you clearly saw) after years of the Dark Brotherhood killing people.
Yes I have come across Temba and I'm currently looking for and killing bears for pelts. P.S. I also stop to talk to literally everyone in a town or wherever there's a NPC chat dialog. Glad I'm not alone! 😂
Must say, I’m hoping we get a new beast-like faction in Raid like they’ve teased. Either way, I’ll still play, and a big thanks to you ESO for introducing me to it ❤️

Good thing is that Nazeem isn’t essential, so you can kill him at anytime anyway you like. I used the flaming familiar conjuration spell to kill him, using that spell openly doesn’t get a bounty on you.
The Nazeem quest really isn’t that bad. Not compared to the Unusual Gem quest. It’s excruciatingly long. Virtually impossible unless you’re cheating or already know the locations. And it’s a late game reward for gems when money is not useful and only comes after spending 25,000 on a house (so the first 25,000 in sold value don’t even count as a reward).
yeah the doing the entire dark brotherhood questline will get you better rewards but as a level 5 character 3000 gold + extremely valuable items is pretty nice considering how early you can do the quest even considering this however I actually like the dark brotherhood so I never kill them
You serious? How can you kill Astrid in lv 5? She's at least lv 20 or 30 cuz she's immuned to paralyzation and low lv illusions. The only way to kill her in "low level" is pickpocketing her blade of woe, but 90 pickpocket already put you in a decent level.

With Amorous Adventures installed Temba's affections become the quest reward. The best part? You don't have to marry her! Just stop in to share the warmth of Dibella with her whenever you want!
AFAIK the latter two suggestions work with both versions; Amorous Adventures aka the "clean" version, and Flower Girls Amorous Adventures the fully animated version. I run the animated version because I'm 53, not 12. :)
Adventure on friends!!!
Disappointing quest reward:
The whole college of winterhold rewards
"I dunno what ta tell ya. By the time I got there, someone had already put an axe in his head."
Companion: ".....................................you mean like that blood-dripping axe in your hand?"
*slowly hides axe behind back* ".....I dunno what you're talking about."
but seriously, I have had one time when I went to rescue a kidnapped citizen, and by the time I got to them, they had been killed by some necromancers soooo....maybe just take your time and let him out while there's still fighting?
I can't do the Nazeem mission ;(
Because I killed him :)
OUTSMARTED!
Good job brother
You Should go To Heaven
Sovngarde is waiting for you
I suggest getting the Destroying the Dark Brotherhood mod. It completly changes the quest and improves it way better
I'm still wondering why nazeem being either dead or locked up is a bad reward, both are equally awesome
I always get the Bear quest much later because I never rushed the main quest. It's a better reward then finding all the Crown gems (it'd take elevation to supreme God to make that worthwhile).
I actually saw Nazeem in Dragonsreach... once... he walked around and left.
Having done so many Skyrim videos has left its Impact
ESO: The only streamer that makes sponsor content, tolerable to sit through.
The bear one was a reference to the same quest in oblivion with similar dialogue
Vilkas: Nazeem has been kidnapped. You can find him at...
Dragonborn: Wait, what?
Vilkas: Nazeem has been kidnapped.
Dragonborn: *excitedly* Really?!
Vilkas: Uh... yeah... you need to go save him.
Dragonborn: *scoffs* Really?
Vilkas: Yes, really.
Dragonborn: Well, we can't really save EVERYBODY... and I'm sure he's dead by now...
Vilkas: Look, he needs to be rescued from Frostmere Crypt.
Dragonborn: *sighs* FINE! I'll get to it... eventually... maybe... if I have time...
*Dragonborn finally frees Nazeem from Frostmere Crypt*
Nazeem: Do you get to the...
Dragonborn: *slits Nazeem's throat* Oh, no! They killed him before I got here.
During the Imperial vs Stormcloak questline all the guy gave me was an enchanted fire Elven sword. I felt incredibly wronged and used because they gave me nothing to show for it.
Sooooo.... That rescue quest makes Nazeem non-essential hehe ;)
Dark brotherhood and thieves guild dragonborn: *can buy literally everything*
Companion guild: Hey I cleared that dungeon!
*Went to the dungeon to rescue kidnapped citizen.*
Me: Alright you bandits! Release the citizen or taste my steel!
Bandits: Thank the Divines and Daedra you are here! Go inside and take him away, we can't stand him. You can take our weapons and armour too.
Me: Hmm...okay(That's weird)
*Saw Nazeem in a cage*
Nazeem: Have you been to the cloud district...
Me: F**k this shit...(walks away)
The only quest in my journal that will be incomplete after 99999hrs of playthrough.
I didn't kill him. But when I tried to rescue him he started engaging a bandit. Remember, I didn't kill him... I did however watch as he fell before the bandit. I watched him suffer and his cries for mercy as his only hope stared smiling
You don't actually have to kill the 10 bears. I just found them in caves along the way, and frim self defense, so it wasn't so hard to get them.
I have loved this channel for literally years, not to brag but to say, how have I missed this specific video for 3 years?
Do you still get the Dark Brotherhood random encounters? If not, that would be a decent reward imo. Especially if you're not doing an assassin build.
Yep
ANYTHING that gives gold is a bad quest reward especially at higher levels when you have more money than your own braincells
Solution to #3: I just killed everyone in Ivarstead during my first playthrough . . . . each one with their own special soul gem.
why did you kill everyone in ivarested tho?
Fun fact though Danny, if you destroy the Dark Brotherhood, and your wearing Penitus Oculatus Armor..
The Game actually adds you to the FACTION. O_O
MLPDethDealr32 no way
So if ya kill one of the penitus oculatus armored pricks and take their arnor...Commander Amaro can just say: "Welcome to the club" in secret?!
@@d4rkpr1nc39 Yep. it adds you to the faction by Script.
Fun fact you can get all the same armor that you would get by killing the brotherhood by just looking around.
You can't get Ciceros amore or the jester amour
Nazeem isn't a quest reward. He's a quest objective in this instance. What should have been on the list, in my opinion, is the reward from Maven Black-Briar for completing the Honningbrew Meadery quest. She's wealthy and influential, you're told she pays well, and what do you get? A cheap dagger. Most underwhelming reward for a major quest. Especially considering that not only do you have to do the core quest objectives, you also have to fight a whole legion of diseased skeevers and Hamelyn, a deadly psychopathic mage you were never told about. Thanks for nothing, Maven.
This is the fastest ive gotten to any video, love your channel
The fact that I did all of the Quest in this video, makes me question my obsession with this game
I've just pick up bear pelts from shops and dungeons... And it still counted towards the pelts count.
What would I do?
Rescue Nazeem... (Failed)
The wiping out of the Brotherhood also doesn't grant an achievement like joining it does, for those who try to get them all. Usually one gets granted if you pick either of the two options, but not this one.
10:17-10:25 Ahhhh, so heart-warming... I could watch that all day and not get tired of it.
7:49 I use the mod, Immersive Citizens and he’s in Dragonsreach quite often.
I could listen to you talk about skyrim all day but I have things that I have to do. Thanks for the vids and keep up the good work
The reward for killing the Dark Brotherhood is getting to kill those assassins who have been sending assassins at you for months.
Wish you could kill the vampire child.
Mods
Trust me its rewarding
Loving the skyrim content ESO keep it up
At least there's no plot twist somewhere that you have to give Nazeem 10 bear pelts to receive an "I love Nazeem" fangirl armor pin without any special treatment.
Do Jaree Ras mission in solitude till you go to broken oar grotto the is a four aroind the area before the first blackblood marauders
Must say, I’m hoping we get a new beast-like faction in Raid like they’ve teased. Either way, I’ll still play, and a big thanks to you ESO for introducing me to it ❤️
Knowing a Word of Power is to take its meaning into yourself. Contemplate the meaning of a Rotmulaag. You will become closer to that Word, as it fills your inner self. Will I teach you, Dovahkiin? What Word calls you to deeper understanding? There are three to master: Fus, Feim, and Yol." The effect applies until you choose another, and does not conflict with the Standing Stones. If you kill Paarthurnax, the bonus will not disappear, but you won't be able to change it.
10:34 To quote Scare from The Lion King (the only Lion King movie (What Disney 3D remake?) with all the emotion he mustered during that one aw inspiring scene, “Kill him…”
Good thing is that Nazeem isn’t essential, so you can kill him at anytime anyway you like. I used the flaming familiar conjuration spell to kill him, using that spell openly doesn’t get a bounty on you.
Temba Wide-Arm must be a nod toward Star Trek.
"Temba, His arms open"
The Nazeem quest really isn’t that bad. Not compared to the Unusual Gem quest. It’s excruciatingly long. Virtually impossible unless you’re cheating or already know the locations. And it’s a late game reward for gems when money is not useful and only comes after spending 25,000 on a house (so the first 25,000 in sold value don’t even count as a reward).
Lol Lydia killing Nazeem... Can't stop laughing 😂🤣
I feel like you could make a senile scribbles reference with the dark brotherhood extermination reward.
"what is this a down paymemt?"
I’d just like to mention just like the Do not Delete chest Klimmek’s supplies can be taken back and float in midair so super useful
I'm still gonna destroy the dark brotherhood in Narfi's honor.
yeah the doing the entire dark brotherhood questline will get you better rewards but as a level 5 character 3000 gold + extremely valuable items is pretty nice considering how early you can do the quest
even considering this however I actually like the dark brotherhood so I never kill them
You serious? How can you kill Astrid in lv 5? She's at least lv 20 or 30 cuz she's immuned to paralyzation and low lv illusions. The only way to kill her in "low level" is pickpocketing her blade of woe, but 90 pickpocket already put you in a decent level.
@@dicksoncockburn6832 from what I remember I killed her at level 7 with a bound bow and sneak skills but that might be a little off I don't kill the dark brother hood often only one time when I found it out ill record a 5 minute video of level 1- 3 killing astrid if you want
HeroMichael In expert you do like a pixel damage to her in lv 5, in master or legendary is even worst.
@@dicksoncockburn6832 hey so I actually did it took it as a daily challenge ua-cam.com/video/mUvcfN1zK0M/v-deo.html
@@dicksoncockburn6832 I could have done it at level one but I leveled up a bit just from selling junk
Turning on push notification are like misc quests, it’s there but I’ll do it later... then later turns to never
Good thing I've never finished the "bear pelt" quest before, I've played lots of builds and all the times I've gotten this quest I kept forgetting bout it... End up turning all my bear pelts into leather and straps lol
What you fail to realize is....
Nazeem in jail IS the reward
I always enjoy you ranting about Skyrim eso
This is why I believe the normal Dark Brotherhood questline is canon. Commander Maro's incompetence just makes no sense.
You get way more gold from being in the dark brotherhood then if you kill them all especially when you get farther and farther in the story line
Funnily enough I have never done any of these quests.. LoL, I love that shirt you have on ESO, really cool.
