Happy Lunar New Year #GustoNATION 🐅 - The past two years have been VERY TOUGH on the businesses and restaurants in Chicago's "Little Saigon" neighborhood. Please support these LOCAL spots and get yourself some fire Vietnamese food!
Saw you guys filming this yesterday! Would love to see a part 2. We love uptown
Yes, please Part 2
No one like Luis to describe and talk about Chicago no one 💯😬♥️ absolutely IT♥️from Chicago
Narisa's food commentary is ON Point!
Luis! My Fiance and I are moving to Uptown Chicago from Gainesville Florida in two weeks! I have literally never been but we have some friends, some jobs, some winter clothes and some dreams lol! Thank you for your videos, they really helped me stay excited through all the craziness of moving. It's happening!!
I like this format - mixing food reviews with history. Well done!
I work around that area and always love to stop by the little area it’s so unique and parking really isn’t too bad especially in the summer
I live only a block from Little Saigon. So much great food. I would love to see a part 2. Thank you for going into Bamboo. It's one of the few places I haven't tried. I will definitely be checking them out. Pho 777 is my inlaws favorite place for us to brunch at when they visit us. As soon as they finish the new station I see a big surge in popularity for the area. I can't wait.
Shot at 00:38 was a nice little detail. Keep up the amazing quality Luis!!
🗺 Thank you!
I had a banh mi at Ba Le back in 2019. It was my first time ever. It was sooooooo good
Yes 🙌
Yes please do a second video!!!!!
Love your videos! I’d love to see a Pilsen tour, and a “best happy hours” in Chicago! Keep up the GREAT work!
He actually has a Pilsen video.
Luis I really need to explore this neighborhood. Please make a part 2 to this video.
My favorite place to eat Pho is in uptown 🙌🏽 -
check out uplift High school around the corner 📍when you’re out also
So many Pho options - we can do an entire film just on that haha
Absolutely love the whole Argyle area. Thanks Luis and Narissa :)
I live in San Jose's Little Saigon, seeing this is such an awesome vibe.
I went to Argyle yesterday and saw the parade going on and got on the red line to Chinatown
Jealous! I was walking by the area yesterday and didn’t even think of walking by to see a parade. I thought it was earlier.
Broooooo. Yes. Slept on neighborhood. Kept this up fam!
Appreciate the love!
Please do a sequel! Your video makes me want to go to Chicago, but not in the winter. I will wait until Spring here in California. Thanks for this video! David in Oakland CA
Can't wait for it to be a little but warmer to take my little ones for a walk and eat tour there. Haven't been in that area for long time. Thanks for the reminder. Love you mini tours of cool spots of Chicago.
I just love this channel. So contemporary and relevant ❤️
I personally knew John Vietnam he used to be in a youth program called Kuumba Lynx Friends painted the mural dedicated to him. Pretty cool you documented the neighborhood.
Excellent, fun, and informative video Luis! I vote for a part 2 video featuring Sun Wah BBQ, and it's rich history and journey from New York's Chinatown to Chicago, serving up roasted duck, noodles, Hong Kong cuisine swirling on lazy susans. Also a fan of Tank Noodle and Indie Cafe all on Broadway. Great videos!
Stay away from Tank Noodle- so unethical! They just were fined $700k by the feds because they didn’t pay their workers at all, only let them get a percentage of tips earned. Total BS
@@maggiec5561 Really? Oh that's sad news!
@@maggiec5561 and we’re part of the insurrection in DC. Nice.
Yes thank you for showing all cultures!!!
I've lived in the city for 20 years and have never heard of this neighborhood. I live near Chinatown in the South Loop.
Great highlights! I'd love to see a part two ✌️
Can you do a video on Chicago roof top bars?
Such good pho. I can’t decide between them and Uptown Pho. Another banger video, Luis. Be well, homey.
Love it, came across it many years ago
I amazing that Laotian and Vietnam people use culantro and they make escebeche.
Lol I saw yall filming this! I'm surprised you didn't get to cover Immm and the spot next to first sip, they had this Hawaiian sausage is recommend.
YASSSS MY HOOD!!!!! Try Immm Thai next time you're up here. One of my favorites in the city. You guys missed the Lunar New Year parade by 1 day!
7:57 there is a red lion behind you! okay in Asia that animal head costume is called the lion dance made in China
and other countries have other varieties of it was a way that the Chinese could scare off evil spirits in the New Years
and bring in good luck using two pro formers one at the front and one at the back they really make the costume act like a real animal using various martial art skills [Gosh Dang!!!!]
Nice video. it would be interesting a video where you show the work behind your videos. It must be a lot from planning, researching, filming and editing. Thank you
I’m Vietnamese myself I was born there
[Gosh Dang!!!!]
A part 2 would be great! I discovered that area 35 years ago and have been going back since Viet Hoa is a great grocery the butcher in the back was wild. So many great places in the neighborhood and great hard working families
Love these videos. Keep them coming. 😊
On Pho nem that food looks good.
I missed living in uptown I used to stop by argyle all the time.
I was wondering when you’d do an episode on argyle! First sip is awesome and I always eat at golden house down the road off broadway, cheapest breakfast you can eat in CHICAGO for under $10 bucks
this was such a great video!
YOOO I LIVE LIKE TWO BLOCKS DOWN FROM THERE
Love your videos!!
another great video. thx!
A that Hopia melon is a take on the Chinese wife cake! Interesting vlog and places. Thank you
What an awesome film, you two. Well done! I would like to come visit that part of the city this summer.
I finally got to visit Chicago for the first time, what a amazing city
Oklahoma City has something like this it’s called the Oklahoma City Asian District
having major Vietnamese food and culture but they do have a Japanese and Chinese restaurant but that place is to memorize the two people
who went to Oklahoma City during the Vietnam War
[Gosh Dang!!!!]
Thank you for this man!
777 is my favorite. Thats the spot!
Yessss I love Argyle! Awesome hidden gems 😍
Just found this channel. Keep blessing us with the dope content.
Thank you so much! Much more on the way
