Just been listening to the Chris Barber version from 1955. This is a totally different in arrangement, Barber's was a clean & tidy studio production with the benefit of professional sound production - but I think I almost prefer this for it's raw honesty.
"Loose Marbles" - i.e. augmented Tuba Skinny - Shaye, cornet; Barnabus, trombone; Robin on drums; that's Jason behind the bucket, 6s banjo; Todd, Mr Tuba Skinny, on banjo here ..... must have been satisfying for Michael Magro, clarinet, to play with so many protegees .....
What a beautiful piece of music, well played!
Great song, great combination of musicians!! 🙂😁
Thank you Michael Magro.
My favorite jazz group!!
Lovely rendition; it's the Wabash Blues, ain't no other, soft and slurry down the way.
Beautifully played and enhanced by a superb recording. Thank you.
Adoro a Loose Marbles...calidad total de armonia ,ritmo y ensamble orquestal👏👏👏👍
Fantastic sound, a prelude to much more.
Um dos sons mais lindos que já tive a oportunidade de ouvir! 😭😍
America gave (and gives) music to the world.
Todd on banjo and Julie on String bass and Robin on drum kit without his wash board.
Erika, jeune maman, on attend ton retour avec impatience.
Barnabus & Shaye almost playing as one instrument ...
I was searching YT looking foe the strange chord (sharp V) and found your version. Enchanting! Thanks!
Funny, I think of it as a flat VI. Different strokes.
nice feel on the sax
Anything with Shay!
1921 big hit on Victor by Isham Jones... hear that Trombone cry lol
Il ne faisait pas chaud ! Voir aussi Haruka Kikuchi .... avec Danny Barker hounds a Tokyo ...
I recognize Shaye and Robin. This is from the days just as Tuba Skinny was forming
Once the band gets to grindin' ain't nothin' settin' m back. Actually cain't remember this tune bein' played so smoothe an' lazy before.

@@stewartfenton7660 Stewart , you should take a listen to Chris Barber and vocalist Ottilie Patterson, you won’t be disappointed, they are superb .
And it looks like Todd in the blue cap playing banjo.
Is Shaye moonlighting?

Not forgetting Julie Schexnayder on bass, and Aarun Gunn on fiddle. The six string banjo player is Jason Lawrence.
Who is blowing the sax?
@@DanPurdy1 It is Tomas Majcherski
Thanks. I couldn’t get a good look at him.
What happened to Michael? I believe he left New Orleans.
Loose Banjo Skinnies
But no, boss Michael is just great here
Is the bass player also with Post Modern Jukebox?
Most of their bass players are men. Had a look, can't see her.
