I just want to give a shout out to that 1 person in twitch chat that said "if you never do +2 Snake charmers then they will always know that you haven't done +2 Snake charmers"
Whale played very well. He made good pit-hag choices, and knew from the starting info that he should be looking for the amnesiac. This amnesiac ability highlights the relationship between power level and how easy it is to guess.
I have a veteran player who loves to be the amnesiac. He has said that if he has a passive ability, he doesn't care if he never guesses it, because he knows that if it's passive it's doing what it should anyway. So, when he's amne, I don't feel bad about giving him something passive, but I still rarely do it.
Now I need to see a script called “+2 snake charmers” that features a pixie, a philosopher and an actual snake charmer, with an added amnesiac for the meme potential 😂 could be a Lil’ Monsta script to increase the paranoia, though that might just be mean
I know Ewan was the Lunatic so it didn't actually matter here, but normally wouldn't telling the Demon that their neighbour is their Marionette... and also that it's a Poppy Grower game be a contradiction? The Demon shouldn't know they have a Marionette until the PG dies, right?
I feel bad for whale and mark, whale for effectively being marionette who knows he's evil and mark for having no in game way to figure out what his ability is
I had a question about something Patters clarified, when Whale asked if their pick would have still triggered a goon even if poisened(answer was yes). Would this be one of the few differences between drunk and poison, because a drunk player would not have any ability to select the goon, even if they think they do, while a poisoned player would trigger the goon even though their ability would be working incorrectly?
A player who chooses (regardless of whether drunk or poisoned) can change the Goon alignment so long as they're the 1st person to pick the Goon. Additionally, players like the Drunk, Lunatic & Marionette - whilst they don't have the ability they think they do, they do still choose and can affect the Goon's alignment. Hope this helps!
Does anyone know if Vigor poison can move like No Dashii poison, when a neighboring Townsfolk becomes a non-Townsfolk? Edit: It works exactly like No Dashii. Why the almanac says "somewhat like" is beyond me.
Out of all the things you could guess as Amne, I don't think guessing whether your ability nullifies or misinforms someone else is brand new. Maybe it was the 'setup' wording, but where I'm getting at is that it wasn't an unsolvable ability, and if you approach guessing wrong you can end up in a wormhole. Also, what a ROUGH day 4 Mamma Mia 🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂
I think the problem was the amnesiac was guessing too specifically. If they had guessed “I affect good players” or “I affect evil players” he could have halved the first 4 days of guesses. Alternatively, to confirm or eliminate a lot of things he guessed, “I have affect the way tokens have been assigned or what tokens have been given out.” That’s is basically what he was trying to determine with first 4 days.
So I had an Amnesiac ability idea, let me know if it's ill-conceived: Once per game, at night, choose another player. You both learn each other ("You are in love with X") and die if the other does. Gain an alternative win condition of: If you both live to final 3, you both win and everyone else loses.
@@patters That's what I thought. Shame. Would be fun in theory for someone to have a double realization; first that they're the lunatic, then later on that they're on the evil team after all. But it makes sense that it's not possible.
@@Scented_Shadow It actually is possible, it's just very ill advised for obvious reasons. It works within rules, but you'll have tomatoes or equivalent fruit thrown at you if you run that

The Patters background music is the best in the business.
1:23:41 There were a lot of great moments in this game, but this one is my favorite. LMAO
You don't even need an amnesiac for +2 snake charmers, just a philo and a pixie.

It was nice to see some post game chats. Bold play from Sammy at the end though.
Rough game, very powerful amnesiac ability. *Fun play through!
Nice to see Mixed Sweets played on this channel.
I would love to see more of Whale and Sammy. Great new players
This seems like such a rough game for evil lol, poppy grower, drunk minion, & pacifist 😅

Yeah, I made a mistake on that one. Missed the jinx.
So this is an amnesiac ability that the evil players must solve. I like this.
When a Poppy Grower dies would a Marionette get told the evil team?
Nope, it's jinxxed (there is a special rule between those 2 characters).
Ah, jinxes aren't on the wiki that I could see. Thanks for the answer.
@@Minion5051 The unofficial Discord tends to be a good place to read up on jinxes.

It is part of the Goon's ability not the drunk or poisoned player.

I would say any passive ability that affects tokens at start is a setup ability. Drunking a minion is not a setup ability.
Puzzlemaster and no-dashii are setup abilities because they can e.g. affect the magician

Bit hard to guess I think. Some fun ideas in there though!
Crafting amnesiac ability are so much fun, like you have an amnesiac twin. If one dies from execution, you learn the roles of players who voted for it
So similar to Cupid from Werewolf of Miller’s Hollow?
Could a lunatic be a marionette? 🤔
Not really because the Marionette has to think they are a good character, and the Lunatic has to think they are a Demon. Counter intuitive.
