rules clarification: how was the arclight setinel banished with passover during the judge call (around 19 minutes)? the latest response window should have been the attack trigger (before banishing from the soul) right? can pass over counter rebirth's returning a yellow after banishing? isn't that part of resolution?
I think you‘re absolutely right. I also have the same opinion and when we look to the event where it happened, the Nuu player played Stir the Pot when the Prism Player banished the card from soul. Once this happens, there is no reaction window in between. The effect of Avalon has to be resolved completely. We have some similar scenarios with Halo when we pop him we first have to put one card into soul, draw one card and then search for a figment (if a Herald was put into soul). Same for Herald of Erudition, when it hits, first put it into soul and draw two cards then search for the figment. You always have to fully resolve the cards effect once begun.
What the Nuu player could have done would have been playing Stir the Pot in response to the attack announce of Avalon, before the soul got banished. This would have been in the layer step before the attack step in the Chain Link of Avalon.
So massively wrong decision here, Prism could have won more boardstate. This is pretty crucial to keep in mind that once a card effects trigger it has to resolve completetly
Good that Prism still won even when the ALS was incorrectly banished
