Stray Kids is different because their music has always been "anti-poppy" and difficult to categorize because of their seamless blend of genres. It's often loud and noisy and has lots of production. Early on in their career they were referred to by critics as 'noise' music. Since they are completely self produced they could have taken that hard but instead they released an album called NOEASY a play on words of noisy and turned up the loud even more, eventually carving out their own genre called "mala taste".😅 They have consistently come out with very original music which they are very proud of again cause they compose, produce and write all their own lyrics. They typically blend many genre's together as you can see in CHK CHK BOOM it's a mix of Reggaeton, hip-hop, trip-hop, and maybe electonica. All the members have a healthy appreciation for many different genres of music, from rock, hip-hop, metal, jazz, alternative rock and even trot (an old fashioned Korean style of music). They pay homage to many of the greats from generations past especially the leader Bang Chan who's own passion for musical composition is what rules the group's unique sound. Aside from their hard hitting heavy base, Rap dominating side A tracks they have experimented with, Dub Step, Pop-rock, Heavy Metal, tropicale, Stadium Anthem and even Bosanova. In addition to the countless OSTs , anime tracks, and slow touching ballads they've done. They most recently said that many of the members had started listening to Reggaeton in their spare time and loved the beat so much they really wanted to incorporate it into their discography for their massive Latin fan base. ❤ You should definitely take a deeper dive into their music. You won't be disappointed. 😊

I would not have expected that for some reason!
Stray Kids have an inner swagger and aura that is compelling. Being self-produced they have a lot of confidence in their own songs. They are all well rounded, singing rapping & dancing. They are also super funny & chaotic behind the scenes. The music is varied, creative and the lyrics include lots of clever wordplay.

Stray kids will release the song SLASH as the soundtrack to the movie Deadpool
Stray Kids were inspired by the concept of the film Deadpool and performed the song God's DDU-DU DDU-DU. They combined their song God's Menu and the song Blackpink - DDU-DU DDU-DU, I suggest you watch this performance. But first, I suggest you listen to the original sound of these songs

I think the thing that makes Stray Kids unique apart from the fact they write and produce all their music is how they love and respect each other and the fans. It feels like family. They really love what they do and are humble and kind. And they are 10000% entertaining on stage. Most of the time K-pop groups feel kinda reserved on camera but not them. They will show you how much they love the fans and the stage every chance they get. It’s the authenticity you feel from them that makes them stand out.🥰

I think the big thing that makes Stray Kids stand out from other groups is purely their chemistry. If you don’t know, each member of Stray Kids was handpicked by the leader Bang Chan. They were put onto a survival show where each member made it to the end. Bang Chan handpicked the members based not only on skill, but other things like personalities, passion, and how they fit in with the rest.
Stray Kids started with 3Racha, a rap unit under JYP with three of the members (Bang Chan, Changbin, and Jisung). Now that Stray Kids is a bigger group, 3Racha is more well known for being the producing group. Every Stray Kids song (except maybe 1 or 2) have been completely written and produced by 3Racha. They are some of the most credited k-pop idols in the industry. Not to mention that 3Racha had gained a name before Stray Kids due to their phenomenal rapping skills. Over the years, their dance line (informally called dance racha) has gained a ton of popularity as well.
On top of all of that, Stray Kids have been said to be one of the kindest and most genuine groups by fellow artists. I think above all of their achievements and talent, that is what makes them most successful. Hopefully this helped!

I think what stands out to me is their personalities. They're the most kind and genuine souls and I swear they are freaking comedians. All 8 of them have distinct personalities. They're so funny, there's so many easter eggs, inside jokes, they're super reliable towards the fans, it's clear they care and on top of that they produce their own music and went against the grain. Their lyricism is really really good. They were critiqued so much in the beginning for their music style but they've now even created their own genre called mala taste. When critics said they were too noisy, they turned up the noise. If critics said they couldn't sing, they sent their main rappers to vocal competitions. When critics said some of them were only there for their looks they showed them what they brought to the group. When critics talked about some of them looking too feminine, one member walked a female fashion show. They just don't care what others think much.
On top of that they experiment with many kinds of music, you never know what to expect with them. They have so many amazing songs and you can put all their songs in a playlist and never listen to anything else anymore bc it's all so different that it feels like it's from different groups. And even then, it's also all stray kids. It all has that stray kids flavour, even when it's a ballad. They aren't afraid to talk about tough subjects or be emotional. Their solo stuff is amazing.
These boys clearly love each other very much and it's a blast to be a part of.
Oh Ryan Reynolds is a huge stray kids fan and friends with their leader since 2021. They're fans of each other. There's a recent interview between bang chan, felix, hugh and ryan and they're literally hyping each other up for like 20 minutes. 'No I'm your fan, no I'm your fan, no you' lmao.

Stray Kids and Ryan Reynolds’s have a long history that started with Stray Kids doing a Deadpool theme for one of their Kingdom performances. Stray Kids are big Deadpool and Marvel fans. Ryan Reynolds saw the performance and reached out to Bang Chan (Stray Kids leader) and they formed a friendship. Then Hugh Jackman being an Aussie, and since Bang Chan and Felix are both from Australia he began following them as well. Stray Kids also have a song, Slash, on the Deadpool Wolverine movie soundtrack as well.
Glad to hear that this collaboration goes deeper than expected and it's not just for show, how interesting!
So, you're asking what makes stray kids stand out from the other groups?
For me it's their authenticity, they are special because they write their own music and aren't afraid of using that music to tell stories and be vulnerable about their emotions. They don't apologize for how they feel and they're 100% own their musical style. I also find their personalities very relatable.

I love that they produce their own music. They also weren't put together by the label companies but their leader Bang Chan chose the members and created Stray Kids. I don't know any other kpop groups that have as much autonomy and creative control as they do.
I can't tell you what makes stray kids stand out thats something you have to decide for yourself, if you like and remember their songs you just do. They stand out for me because they are not super poppy they have an edge to their music and if you get more into their discography you will find that they do have a lie of deep songs. They are also self produced by three of the guys in the group that write and produce the music but the others also have been writing lately and even starting to produce some. So that means that they have more creative control. Also they do not have set positions within the group they all can pretty much so anything. But like I said you have to decide what makes them stand out for you.

You will ALWAYS feel like you're watching a movie when watching a SKZ video. Other kpop groups have positions, since they are not chosen by the leader. SKZ is different bc Bang Chan hand-picked his group members. This was unheard of in 2018 when they debuted.

Ryan and Chris became friends in 2021 during their SKZ's appearance on Kingdom: Legendary War leading to a small friend group of Chan, Ryan, Hugh and Felix. Stray Kids were going to appear in the new Deadpool movie but the scheduling didn't workout. SKZ recorded a song, Slash, for the soundtrack of Deadpool & Wolverine movie.
Stray Kids stand out because their music is really theirs. Everything they put out there, they are the one's behind its creation which makes it all feel so authentic.

Ryan has been friends with Chan ( The leader of SKZ ) since 2021 , They've been really close friends exchanging gifts and complementing each other. The funny thing is that marvel dosen't know about this collab. Both Ryan and Hugh willing decided to cameo on the M/V because they both love Straykids so much. Fast forward to now, both Hugh and Ryan are huge Stays, This collab was anticipated for stays for a while. Also Straykids will be featured in the new Deadpool and wolverine movie theough an OST ( original sound track )called "Slash" 🙏

Jennie and Lisa have a group contract signed with YG Entertainment as a Blackpink group, they are in this company. But they did not sign solo contracts with YG. Jennie opened her company ODDATELIER, as Lisa opened her company LLOUD, they are responsible for solo promotion themselves
