    Very clear and well structured. I’m a litigation attorney in California and the first thing I do when taking a new clients instructions is to take it in a mind map format - it’s amazingly effective and creates a deep connection and sense of understanding on the part of the client as they see that all the relevant aspects of their case has been captured and understood. This leads to more focused questioning and a deeper meta understanding of the case. You did a great job explaining the benefits, well done.

    Hello! Thank you for the video!
    Personally thinking: the major pros are the fun process that notetaking turns into and the awesome picture one gets in the end.
    The con is the work required when one makes, creates a personal image or word that most closely reflects the concept in question. But that is probably what allows one to interact with the information, which makes it memorable, so it is ok.
    Thanks again for the video, it makes me want to mind map the book of mind maps)

    I want to chek this one out. It reminds me of some of the sketchnoting approaches. Have you looked at any of those books or videos?

    • @FrodeOsen
      @FrodeOsen  5 років тому +2

      Hey Marley!
      I haven't seen any books or videos on sketchnoting, but did a quick search to see pictures of people using it.
      Is the basic idea to sketch/draw and note/write in order to improve your understanding and memory of what you note down?
      If so, it can - as well as mind maps - be a much more effective way to understand and memorize what you're learning than usual notetaking is. (It's also hell of a lot more fun sitting in classes or by yourself, playing around with lots of colours, turning information into images! :-) )

    I saw a green apple and I saw green letters saying apple at about the same time but I have done this before.

      Hmm, that must mean that your mind has mutated into a logical-creative super-machine which brings you both words AND images when you hear a word - doesn't it? :-)

    remove the branches only use straight lines and don´t use colors - only use black and white don`t label the branches - be very picky when selecting labels - be very systematic

    Is it like becoming Sherlock?

    • @FrodeOsen
      @FrodeOsen  6 років тому +2

      What do you mean, Vignan? :-)
      If you mean that you'll become Sherlock Holmes if you read the book - solving incredible mysteries like a master - then I'm sorry to disappoint you, but no; you'll definitely become Sherlock. :(
      What you'll notice, however, is that Mind Mapping can be used to do a great number of different activities more effectively, like taking notes of key points in lectures or meetings, planning your priorities for the day, setting and achieving goals, or extracting the big ideas from any text. :D
      Looking forward to hear from you whether I just babbled nonsense right now, or if you actually got any help from this!

      Frode Osen I meant the way he remembers things in his mind. I didn’t meant the way he solve mysteries. I heard that he uses mind mapping techniques all the time to remember everything he can for a long time like a library in his mind!

      Frode Osen I really want to read the book. I’m right now preparing for my pre medical entrance exam. I gotta remember remember so much stuff mostly facts. Do you think this book helps me in this way as a science student?

      Frode Osen Also, I found two other free ePub books online “The Ultimate Guide for Mind Maps” and “ Brain Power- Improve Your Mind” both by the same author. Are they different brother? Or same?
