Shoebill (Balaeniceps rex), Mabamba Swamp, Uganda (1/4)

I had a day to myself in Entebbe and booked a trip to Mabamba Swamp with Gazelle Safari Company. I was lucky enough to have a top local bird guide with me (Brian) who took me straight to a male Shoebill. I had fantastic views of this iconic bird for an hour.
This video shows it eating something, taking water before striking again. One in a series of four.
