This was so neat to watch! Great job with a not so familiar animal. I love watching the introduction and hearing the reasoning behind the decisions. Great job! -Wildlife Rehabber from Michigan.
I am so glad everything went well and I hope it continues to go well. You guys did an awesome job catching Lily and I am so so glad no one got hurt. Thanks for the awesome video! Take care!!! 😄💙🐬🐊🐍🫶🏼
You guys need to buy or make a catch poll so you can keep wild animals far enough away that you don't get bit by something and have to go through rabies shots
When the ADHD hits “bald eagle!” - I’m the same way! I’m taking to my dad on my way home and I’ll be like “squirrel, osprey, eagle, fox” - then it’s the “HOLY SHIT DEER!!!”
On the capture, I was a little surprised at the mildness of the coatimundi's reaction. Granted gloves saved bleeding, but I was expected more of raccoon reaction of hissing face tearing. She must have had some experiences around people I would guess. Great catch though.
it's kind of crazy people were suggesting you trim the nails yourselves. 😂 would they even be willing to handle and do the nails on a wild raccoon ??? let alone a coatimundi ?! so glad you guys were able to rescue him.
I can’t imagine WHY people would have something like that as a pet. I don’t think anyone does over here in the UK but I could be wrong. He is beautiful but…… Btw love the nose snuffles❤❤
I live on Florida's Space Coast but squirrels and egrets in my yard are about as wild as it gets for me (it's funny to watch them feeding together, the egrets and squirrels will walk side by side foraging). Your channel is so entertaining and educational and I'm so glad to see people as caring toward Florida wildlife as you are.
I have had the pleasure of working with coaties and I absolutely love them. They are exactly as you say and it takes the right person to work with them. BTW I have groomed a few and it was always a 2 person job and definitely not easy (with lots of training from babies). Good luck with Lilly she has found the right people.
Gabby youre a badass as always! love you guys ❤ Had no idea you had a coati. This was really cool to watch! You can really see the size difference once they both were released together.
Can they get distemper? I’m pretty sure raccoons can and I know ferrets can, but I’m not sure about this guy. I know you said she/he got their rabies vaccine, but not sure if they would get dhpp too. Just curious! You and your vet obviously know more about them than I do!
Wow she did such a good job getting him into the cage . He seemed nervous but not terribly aggressive. If there are two people who can calm that animal down it’s you two . Good luck and keep up the great work
They routinely tattoo spayed female colony cats on their belly so maybe whoever did the desexing generally spays cats. Who knows, it just seems so weird. No chip?
Raccoons are the largest of procyonid family but I’m sure it isn’t easy to catch an angry coati . Even a 20 lbs raccoon is an extremely hard animal to catch by hand .
Love love love Coatimundis - last time I was in Mexico I just sat and watched a family of them for about an hour, such beautiful little creatures! - have to admit seeing Chris in boots was a doubletake...
Great video, I love the coatimundi. The new placebis looking fabulous and I loved Chris's photos and stories from his recent trip. Keep up the amazing work ❤
@charlotteoliver9983 we have jaguars also coming up from central America. They're all native here, but as usual, people had to kill them, but they're starting to make a comeback
I appreciate how educational and honest you both are! How far from Tallahassee is your rescue center (I don’t know what to call it I apologize!) going to be? Also, Gabby what part of NY are you from? SI, NYC & Philly here and I’ve always loved, gators, crocs, sharks, and learning about new species like this cutie! You both work so hard and care so much, it makes my heart happy! Thank you both!
I love watching the catches and how you guys plan out safely removing them or at least as safe as possible. They were always be danger removing animals especially like that
When you move them to their new enclosure, how difficult will it be to recapture them. It seems like it would be hard, because they have all that space to run around in to get away from you. I love these videos. Keep them coming, and thanks to you both for all the rescue work you do.
I got to say Chris you are one lucky man, she is so beautiful. I don't know how you get any work done. I would not be able to keep my eyes on anything other then her if she was my wife lol. I'm sorry I don't usually say things like this but I had too. I don't know if y'all are married if not what are you waiting on lol. Good luck with everything and I'm very happy to see y'all got a place for all your pets, can't wait to see what all y'all do with the property.
Hi, you can just throw a bunch of mealworms in the enclosure so they can search for them. Or put some branches with leafs in it for enrichment. Or take some cardboard boxes without the tape, put hay and mealworms in it and close it. I am sure they live it. Maybe Lili would play with a hard plastic ball, sth she can't destroy. Or if you happen to have hollow branches- put food in it and they are happy. Maybe you can ask for volunteers who prepare enrichment for the animals. Depending on your time, you could collaborate with senior residences, kindergartens schools. They could come and visit or you go to them with some animals, educate them and show them how to make the enrichment. Maybe also offer sponsorships .... Also you could put some different sents in it. Like bury a bit cinnamon, smear some basil on the wood, or have some wood from another enclosure brought into theirs do they can smell a lot of different things. Take care.
She was definitely one brave lady catching him!!!! Impressive 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Thank you so much!
At 10:00 when she totally interupts the narrative to mention the bald eagle... Thats me in legit every car ride im in
I am so glad everything went well and I hope it continues to go well. You guys did an awesome job catching Lily and I am so so glad no one got hurt. Thanks for the awesome video! Take care!!! 😄💙🐬🐊🐍🫶🏼
I had no idea this animal existed! Very cute! Glad to see they’re getting along!
they looking like diffenence species of Coatimundi and they looking so cool and i well had done same thing if had one!

Good thing is coatimundi are not Florida wildlife. This is a dumped or escaped pet.
I have had the pleasure of working with coaties and I absolutely love them. They are exactly as you say and it takes the right person to work with them. Yes people have No clue!My friend had one and I guess she was in a bad mood once and tore her up,she ended up in the ER.
Gabby youre a badass as always! love you guys ❤

Yes, raccoons can definitely get rabies. Any animal with salivary glands can contract and transmit rabies.

I know they can get rabies, but what about distemper? I know raccoons and get it, but not sure about these guys

To cute, but bitting is a tad scary. Hope she/he works out for y’all. Tfs❤
Wonderful video! So happy you guys got out to her and helped when you did. Beautiful animals ❤
Florida Pasco County boy here and proud of yall ! 👍👌👏
Wonderful sharing ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Excellent video as usual, a lot info and your videos always teaching about conservation and educating us
Great job, girl!! Another one saved 💕
Everyone is an expert at everything they don't know...
Great video as always, i think lily and lola are going to be great friends ❤
Thank you Gabby for the laugh!😂
Gabbys a beast 💪
What is “scruffing?” And are coatimundis common in FL? Do people try to keep them as pets? Have they established as an invasive species?
First time seeing that animal. Reminds me of King Julian
They routinely tattoo spayed female colony cats on their belly so maybe whoever did the desexing generally spays cats. Who knows, it just seems so weird. No chip?
It almost feels like these animals need pressure and release to not display dominant behaviors
They have strong tails like opposums?
Raccoons are the largest of procyonid family but I’m sure it isn’t easy to catch an angry coati . Even a 20 lbs raccoon is an extremely hard animal to catch by hand .
What does it mean by it has a tattoo?
A tattoo indicates that she has been spayed.
I’m so jealous I wanted to see a bald Eagle when I lived in Florida and never did
Wow!! Lily is so very lucky to have been rescued by you guys :)
Cool im the same way when i see a bald eagle or any wild animals
Love love love Coatimundis - last time I was in Mexico I just sat and watched a family of them for about an hour, such beautiful little creatures! - have to admit seeing Chris in boots was a doubletake...
Those are beautiful.
Good catch...! That was awesome and truly a cute lil'girl ..!
Thank you!
Great video, I love the coatimundi. The new placebis looking fabulous and I loved Chris's photos and stories from his recent trip. Keep up the amazing work ❤

Thats so cool guys.
Lily is so lucky to be in such awesome & educated hands
Are the endangered?
Well done guys.
Great capture!
Cool looking animals!
That yawn 😂
Chris your enclosure builds are amazing!! Tyler Nolan has one, I think it's still a baby, they are so cute!! So happy they get a long.
Great job Gabby
we have them here in Arizona in the mountains and near Tucson. they're fun to see
I had no idea! I had to look it up. Omg they’re adorable. 😂
@charlotteoliver9983 we have jaguars also coming up from central America. They're all native here, but as usual, people had to kill them, but they're starting to make a comeback
Прекрасная семья ❤
Great vlog today guys, lily and Lola are absolutely beautiful and I hope they get along very well and have a long life friendship
❤
I love Bald Eagles too Gabby......Glad you are both alright and that you didn't get hurt and Lilly didn't either
I appreciate how educational and honest you both are! How far from Tallahassee is your rescue center (I don’t know what to call it I apologize!) going to be?

I’m the same way about bald eagles. I wish you could’ve caught him on camera too!!! This whole video is awesome! Thanks for taking care of her!
I love watching the catches and how you guys plan out safely removing them or at least as safe as possible. They were always be danger removing animals especially like that
Yep. Not a good idea to try to cut it's claws down yourself. It might have to be sedated with a dart or something.
Welcome Lilly! You are in the best hands with Chris and Gabby ❤
You guys are awesome. Thanks for the video
Ty for caring for all the animals the way you guys do I love all animals and I respect all natures babies
Great job you two! Gabby is like, "no fear, I got this!" 👏👏

I'm always impressed by how much you know about so many various species!
They look really good together. Enclosure is awesome.
I honestly hope if Lilly has an owner they choose to leave with y'all so she'll not only be very well taken care of but also be with her own kind
Way to go guys ❤such a great introduction. Glad it all worked out ❤
Why do people keep these as pets?! It’s so obvious they don’t want anything to do with us 😅
Where are you guys located?
Awesome job guys!!! 😊
Glad it is going well 👍
Good job!
Amazing!!
👍👍👍👍🎉🎉
