I remember listening to this song growing up, nothing like old school music 🎶
When I heard of Nick's death, I had to find this song and listen to it. It brings back memories of the days when this song was used to close the morning weekday segment on JBC FM at 12 mid day. My condolences to his family.
My sympathy goes out to Mrs. Simpson and her daughters. Know that he is in heaven writing music for the angels. He resting now, with no more pain and suffering. Look to the sky and you will see his glow and smile. Truly missed
Nick is in heaven. Kudos to him for so many songs that have blessed us.

Ahhh! Ashford & Simpson were the best male & female duo songwriters, singers., and performers. They're contribution was great at Motown. In the 80's I saw them perform in Oakland at the Paramount Theatre. Boy were they good!!!! I have all and I mean all their albums. I couldn't get enough of them. Listening to them now...brings back so many memories for me.

This song resonates with so many children who died so young like Emmett Louis Till and so many others. It is a great song fitting for Emmett's life. Awesome!

This is a little known song of theirs . it really should have gotten more airtime I feel. It is very beautiful, and positive.. oh where did songs like this go. today's music seems so violent and no longer contains any poetry..at least not the romantic kind.
