Beautiful video, but I was hoping to see if when paired with the cars Bluetooth can the car Bluetooth media control also control the carpuride. Great review. Sadly i’ve ordered the w103 two months ago before Carpuride launched the Dual BT versions which i miss in my device . I can not have my device connected to my cars BT while the wireless airplay is connected. The Dual bluetooth should solve the problem.
W103 already comes with dual Bluetooth. And it looks exactly the same as this model in terms of software. There are still limitations on the car side, for cars that only support Bluetooth for calls and don't allow you to pair devices like his jaguar does.
Nice review. Have just ordered 2 Carpuride devices, one W103 for the MX-5 and one W502 for the motorbike. Waiting for the W103, but the W502 was dead on arrival and won't switch on. Support hasn't been great so far, first suggesting that i re-pair the Bluetooth, and then asking for a video so they can see the fault. I've videod the unit doing nothing. Wonder what they'll suggest next

Me: here's a video showing the power connection, me testing the voltage with a multimeter, checking the fuse, and showing that the unit hasn't powered up. Carpuride: Can you please go through the menus and let us know the software version number. Me: How do you expect me to go through the menus when it won't switch on? Carpuride: We cannot see what the problem is from your video. Please could you take another video so we can see the problem. Me: Here again is a video of the connected unit not switching on. @@shane250 steering wheel controls won't work. You can buy a separate remote for it that attaches to your steering wheel. I've shown this in another video when fitting it in my nissan 370z. It will use the units microphone for calls, but you can connect and external mic like I did in my nissan

The 901 pro is the version you want bud. Up to you if you want the variant with the reverse camera (good to have ) or steering wheel controls (which I've not tested). @@selespeed3 I'd go for the 701 pro as it has the dual Bluetooth function which may help later on. I'm also not a fan of the buttons down the side that the 707 has. But both will do the job just as well, comes down to which you visually prefer.

I managed to get my Carpuride W903 Pro “working with” my Suzuki steering wheel controls (Vol Up/Down and Previous/Next) and Apple Carplay and you don’t need a dual bluetooth head unit to do that! I connected my iPhone (14 running iOS 17.2.1) to the Carpuride unit while still being connected to my Suzuki original stereo. Enabled Carplay and while playing songs on Apple Music, just swipe up to select on which device to output the sound and tadaa ! You still get to retain your SWCs and have carplay with the Carpuride. I guess it will also work with other brands and car brands as well. Just need your iPhone to connect to both the Head Unit and your car’s original stereo system. I can accept/deny calls with my SWCs and the caller is being displayed on Carplay !

Dual Bluetooth allows you to connect your phone go the carpuride and at the same time connect the carpuride to your car Bluetooth. A simple way to avoid running an AUX cable for audio output instead just use the cars inbuilt Bluetooth

My W901 Pro Dual Bluetooth connects with Car stereo over BT and transmits music over BT. If there is a call (incoming or outgoing) it switches back to device mic and speaker and does not utilize BT connection at all. As I understand from some comments it is a "feature" so it requires connection to AUX and external MIC over cable. Can you advise if you heard about any plans to upgrade the device firmware to utilize car mic and speakers over BT?

I was convinced by your review to purchase the W901 Pro with dual Bluetooth. Installation was straightforward as I'm using a Bluetooth transmitter to connect to my Mazda 6 car stereo. However, I'm facing an issue with phone calls - I can't hear the caller through the car speaker, no matter what I try. I'd prefer to keep the installation neat without resorting to AUX for audio output (AUX output has its own issues .. low volume). Using an FM transmitter leads to poor audio quality. Car: 2016 Mazda 6 / Phone: Google Pixel 6 (Android 13) Hope you can help me fix this issue?
Connecting with bluetooth and you have to live with the unit speaker when making a call. I was surprised as well when reading the manual where it in two red marked sentences said just that. This should be advertised in a better way before a purchase. I'm lucky having a audio in in my car for solving the problem. One extra cable yes but I don't mind. I can't be more happy than with my W901 pro.
@@Bo-electric AUX output has low volume for phone calls.. so I have to increase car stereo volume to maximum.. only to be deafend by music volume when call ends. I contacted the seller.. they agreed to refund $50.. or I have to pay the return postage and apparently there is a good chance.. package will be lost so they suggested I do not return it. Feels like a scam to me and real shame all the sponsored reviewers are not mentioning this issue in their review.

Hi bud, to be honest I haven't tested the phone calls with the unit since my very first carpuride review. That unit however lacked bluetooth so did not have the issues you are experiencing. @@das00716 Connection with AUX. Made my first call just now and after half on hour I asked if it sounded good and my brother said yes. I told him what I was talking on and he then said that it was not as good as with a direct connection from the phone to the car like I use to have but not bad at all. Maybe that's because the mic in the unit isn't as good as the mic in the car. I heard him clearly in the cars speakers. I didn't have you raise the volume that much. Normally i always raise it a bit when talking a call. I drive a VW e-up 2020 and in the AUX setting in the car I can set AUX volume to initially be low, middle or high. It was set to middle and I haven't changed it. So everything works for me.

Thanks! Call quality is just as expected, comes through the stereo and no lag. It uses the internal mic which I personally haven't had an issue with as I just raise my voice if needed, but it does also have the option of an external mic that you could plug in and move to somewhere convenient in your car.

I haven't been able to get Carplay to work with calls through my stereo. I still need to mess with it, but I have my doubts that it'll work. Everything else works with the dual Bluetooth. I might actually switch it to FM transmitter, and connect my phone to my cars Bluetooth instead.
@@CRD90 is it using the International speaker for the call rather than the car speakers? Others are commenting that it doesn't broadcast the other person's voice from the car speaker via BT but uses the internal speaker of the unit
@@CRD90 It has the Bluetooth option which is to click for phone calls etc, but the purple logo 4th along the bottom row says FM transmit and just shows the tower, not Transmit and also including the Bluetooth logo

Does anyone know if the native car stereo needs to have the ability to stream music via Bluetooth in order to be able to stream with Bluetooth with Carpuride? I am having issues connecting to my car's Bluetooth. My car's Bluetooth name comes up on the unit but nothing happens when I click on it. I have also reached out to Carpuride but thought someone else may know the answer.
This is a TL;DR post, but please help me!!! Does Anybody have an answer to my W901 Plus issue here. I have my iPhone connected to the Carpuride via Bluetooth and the car stereo via Bluetooth to my iPhone separately as well. This is my only opinion that works besides using the FM Transmitter which has poor audio quality. I also bout the Carpuride External Mic for better voice quality. But here is my problem: when I use voice commands it is defaulted using my iPhone’s microphone; which is very bad due to where my phone is like in my pocket or in resting in the center console. The worst is when I receive phone calls. It is completely broken. The audio call is played through the speaker and my audio is defaulted to my car stereo’s microphone; which, doesn’t work at all. So the phone call functions are pushed to the stereo and no ran natively on the Carpuride or the iPhone. The answers I am look for are ones that address why I can’t use the external Carpuride Microphone I purchased separately and how the hell can I make these functions default to the Carpuride W901 Plus to handle these phone calls?!?! Basically the external microphone has never worked because it has never been the priority mic in default device. So to recap, text and Siri functions are using my iPhone for input, phone calls default to the car stereo which has no functional microphone (receiving call audio but not using iPhone or Carpuride external mic). Lastly the iPhone is connected to the Carpuride and car stereo separately via Bluetooth from the iPhone. FM Transmitter is the only audio out option that works but sounds bad. What the hell can I do??????

Thanks, yes and yes. The only exception is the internal mic on the carpuride is still used rather than your car microphone.

One very important point to mention is that none of the car bluetooth controls work to control the music.
volume controls work if youre using your car speakers but skip/go back and pause/unpause don't work

I ordered the W901 but it says FM transmit and won’t let me connect with Bluetooth, any idea why?
Does the option for Bluetooth come up at all (like in my video)? Or is it only showing the FM transmit
@@CRD90 It has the Bluetooth option which is to click for phone calls etc, but the purple logo 4th along the bottom row says FM transmit and just shows the tower, not Transmit and also including the Bluetooth logo
@@newcombe41 that's super strange, try to reach out to them over email / social media the support is usually very good. I would have expected to see it under the FM transmitter section
He has to fix the video description the one he is using is the 901 pro model the 901 doesn't do dual Bluetooth .

Does anyone know if the native car stereo needs to have the ability to stream music via Bluetooth in order to be able to stream with Bluetooth with Carpuride? I am having issues connecting to my car's Bluetooth. My car's Bluetooth name comes up on the unit but nothing happens when I click on it. I have also reached out to Carpuride but thought someone else may know the answer.
Yes, your car stereo unit needs to already be capable of A2DP Bluetooth for music streaming
@matthealy5122 Thanks for the reply! I found out the hard way. Carpuride did offer a $50 refund since the Bluetooth wouldn't work in my car.

This is a TL;DR post, but please help me!!!
Does Anybody have an answer to my W901 Plus issue here. I have my iPhone connected to the Carpuride via Bluetooth and the car stereo via Bluetooth to my iPhone separately as well. This is my only opinion that works besides using the FM Transmitter which has poor audio quality. I also bout the Carpuride External Mic for better voice quality.
But here is my problem: when I use voice commands it is defaulted using my iPhone’s microphone; which is very bad due to where my phone is like in my pocket or in resting in the center console. The worst is when I receive phone calls. It is completely broken. The audio call is played through the speaker and my audio is defaulted to my car stereo’s microphone; which, doesn’t work at all. So the phone call functions are pushed to the stereo and no ran natively on the Carpuride or the iPhone.
The answers I am look for are ones that address why I can’t use the external Carpuride Microphone I purchased separately and how the hell can I make these functions default to the Carpuride W901 Plus to handle these phone calls?!?! Basically the external microphone has never worked because it has never been the priority mic in default device.
So to recap, text and Siri functions are using my iPhone for input, phone calls default to the car stereo which has no functional microphone (receiving call audio but not using iPhone or Carpuride external mic). Lastly the iPhone is connected to the Carpuride and car stereo separately via Bluetooth from the iPhone. FM Transmitter is the only audio out option that works but sounds bad. What the hell can I do??????
