Cobb seems to have a good mental relationship with Rodgers. I remember a playoff game where he supposed to run a slant, the defense was blitzing, the defense knew all the routes the Packers were running, and the DB on Cobb jumped the slant he was supposed to run just like Tracy Porter did on Reggie Wayne in the superbowl, however Cobb improvised a 2 step fade/streak right down the field. This was on a 4th and 2 iirc in mid field, and they ended up getting like a 45 yard TD on the play. Reggie Wayne was didn't have that kind of mental relationship with Manning in comparison, he would just always do the route designed. Mahomes and Rodgers seem to thrive with those improvisational plays exploiting the weaknesses of the defenses.
