Wow. As someone who has sold off whole collections in the past...(German panzer division in 1/72/ 15mm Napoleonics armies/etc) there comes a time when its not as fun or fulfilling as it used to be. Sometimes it takes selling off some stuff to reignite a passion in another army or type of collection. Best of luck with your sale and future collections!
You're a more sensible man than I. I can't imagine parting with a collection like this, even if I didn't play with it & it just sits there looking pretty
One note that may prob be common sense, but timing/meta can be very important. If those units are current hotness, that will be reflected in the value. If any of them are weak in the meta, it will probably impact the value more than you want to shift the army for. speaking from experience here. :(
Hi mike, cant you use some of the minis for 30k, i got rid of one of my armies years ago and recently regreted it and have started getting the minis again to rebuild the army, 9th edition is out soon and you may get bit by the 40k bug again,
I would love to see that full BA army laid out on one of Warhammer World's scenic tables, just fill the whole board up with units. I bet it'd look spectacular!

[checks the date, nope not April 1st] I think however little you use it now your army is a great achievement. I can't (and wouldn't presume to) tell you what to do with your minis but you may regret parting with them.

Wow I am shocked! I can’t begin to think what you would get for this. It will really depend on whether you part it out into attainable chunks/lots. Most people do not have the cash to lay out even a $1000 (US) at once even if they easily spend it across time. All I would say is if your looking at selling it all in one lot plan less than that in my opinion even if it’s worth much much more. Sounds like you have your mind made up but you will never get back what you put into that army. I am not playing 40K anymore either but I keep my stuff so I can pull out earlier editions when I want and in case I want to use them for something in the future. If I were you I would pack it up for a while put it in storage so you can focus on other stuff and think on it you may find you will regret it in the years to come. It's a good idea to do something you enjoy more, otherwise it just becomes a chore.. I started hobbying again after a break and I realised.. I enjoy painting AoS more now.. Strange I know.. 30k I want to dabble in.. Always liked emperors children or dark angels.. Models on one hand.. Fluff the other.. Guess I'll wait til The Lion gets released although been tempted by Garro Knight Errant (also fluff) :3 When you do start blood angels 30k.. Do deathwatch style update vids.. They are fun to watch through :)

I'd say keep the stuff that can be used in 30k, can always get reused. But you are doing the right thing...I think...:-/
