My son built their new house after he got off work, from working all night and in 100° heat.

He lost his dad a month ago and it's been really hard for him. He stepped out of the hospital room to get food and he passed. They had just called it when he walked in. I was there when he passed. He was so upset that he was throwing up. 💔

I used those same doors for the entrance to our laundry room from our kitchen and added swinging door hardware to make it easy to move in and out with baskets full of clothes. It's by far the upgrade that receives the most compliments in our house! The cremone bolt was a beautiful touch👌 Great job once again!

I know carpentry is a great gift. Some learned and some self taught, and altogether absolutely wonderful. I just wish my sweet husband knew how to do so many wonderful upgrades. He's out there teaching science and math to 2nd graders, so I guess we can't have it all.

Perhaps you can watch a few videos and learn how to do it ! I taught my two sisters how to do many carpenter and painting skills
Totally feel that, mine doesnt "build" i can only imagine the parents he probably has to deal with and class preps though. Hope his admin is good. Its hard out there for teachers. Maybe he could ask the shop/ag teacher (if they have one) for pointers. Or yall can attend a workshop. Homedepot hosts them monthly. ❤ i hope he shows you love all the days of your lives ❤️ 💕

The craftsman are _literally everywhere!_ Building the homes we visit & stores we shop in, maintaining the roads we drive on, etc. and when they're not doing that, they can probably be found on a lake somewhere fishing with their buddies or something to that effect👍😂
Unfortunately nowadays they're also practically invisible to most ♀️ who are who are too preoccupied in clubs & on tinder chasing metrosexual f•ck-boys who have no skills because they spend all their time in the gym or in the mirror taking longer than their girl to get ready 💯 💀😭

I always remember when he decided to build a new wall to my room to close it off; but also added a door to it so I can enter and leave through the living room or the kitchen (it was a small apartment)

White has its place, as long as there are accents to add interest!
White paint is cheap. The most common and most safe to use color being totally neutral. Builders use it save on cost in these pre-fab fixtures.
