    Fantastic interview! Both of these great humans are 100% passionate about what they are doing. Like Jay mentions in his book, to live life is to serve. I feel this.

    I was overwhelmed by the amount of information in the book BUT Im going to go back to reading it. I really want to be healthier

      I teach many of my physical therapy patients these principles. If I may summarize...
      *heal your gut* (your microbiome is the bacteria ecosystem in your colon that either makes you fat/sick, or else you're healthy if you ingest a wide range of bacteria through different fiber sources, as well as good protein and fats straight from nature. Processed foods, sugar, alcohol, lack of exercise all lead to a leaky gut sick ecosystem.
      *Mind your mitochondria* ... some things damage your cells' powerhouse over time such as: sweets & PUFA veg seed oils, (refined/man-made foods), sleep deprivation, stress. Get Omega 3s and steady energy sources from whole foods. Fructose is a slow poison like alcohol, not an energy boost.
      *Relatively low insulin lifestyle* : Control carbs, prioritize protein, fill in with good fats. Chronically high insulin throws many other hormones out of whack, causes dementia, prevents weight loss, + shuts down organs!
      I focus on: 1a) MINIMAL sweets & alcohols & processed foods... 90% of more whole food meals- you can MOSTLY GROW FRESH at your own house- using a wide variety of veggies, greens, plain beans, fish & unprocessed grass finished meats, raw nuts, etc cooked at home… these "superfoods" should be in every meal possible. Get used to just water or unsweet tea. Not too much fruit or even honey which are nature's candy. Refined grains are crap, they do not count as a real, whole food. Careful with condiments & beverages.
      1b) don't eat often, certainly don't snack between your 2 meals/day. And drinking just one bottle of soda/juice/lemonade/tea is equal to eating 18 cookies!(per the AHA) sweets kill you, slow poisons to your organs.
      2) BUILD MUSCLE DAILY, 5-8min different muscle groups. Some cardio for mental health. Muscle strengthening (myokines) actually effectively treats & prevents 26 different chronic diseases!!
      3) ensure 7-8 hours consistent sleep, less electronics. Each night of sleep deprivation can actually create more insulin resistance, and you also make poor food choices when tired
      4) activities that reduce stress, improve your relationships

    Do you have any resources to explain how minerals and vitamins effect each other and how they both effect the many systems in a human? Somehow I stumbled on a book about tissue salts or cell salts and ended up taking some and in 3 days multiple problems I've experienced for years just disappeared. I had sores a d cuts that normally took forever to heal ended up healing completely in a week. After following up taking the cell salts for 2 weeks I did a water fast for 3 days and things just got better. I ended up passing gall stones which I was prepared myself to eventually have it just removed.
    There were so many chain reactions that just got better and better all starting with taking the cell salts first...
    But I don't hear anyone talking about it at all. I'm now researching things like Boron and magnesium.
    I would love your input or guidence on any of it. And appreciate both of you. You guys are both real life 😇. Thank you both for all that you do.
