Okay... but there's not a single dunk that was better than Cassius' first one... nothing should have gotten higher than a 44 if we're talking about a high bar... They just blew it on the first one and overcompensated for the rest of the contest. Judges need to stay consistent or they ruin the whole contest.

That's one of the most difficult looking dunks I've ever seen and he did it so smoothly that no one even realised what he did at first glance. Cassius' dunk looked good, but JR Rider did that Eastbay funk dunk before any of these dudes were born.

People have to stop listening to Kenny Smith. The reason they brought in former dunk champs to judge the contest is because they wanted people who know dunking to judge dunking. Not every dunk that you couldn’t do is a 10. If there are “different types of 10s” then the lower levels of 10s shouldn’t be 10s they should be 9’s and 8’s.

The hardest dunk was Anfernees TMac dunk, all the others were mediocre. Also, to put your lips at the rim at 6'3 is 50" ish from flat feet.

All Anfernees other dunks were below average at best. A 2 hand dunk and a 1 hand dunk. There was no creativity or flare involved in any of his other dunks.

If y'all see Cassius's IG before the dunk contest, he did one in practice that would've shut the whole contest down, which I think he tried to do with his second dunk. He tried to bounce it, catch, throw it under both legs, and slam it. That would've been insane.
I feel bad for the athletes. We are at the point where the overall athleticism is so crazy, that most of the athletes in the league can do these dunks. That’s a crazy thought
Cassius did something we all seen before. Putting the ball through your legs is so common now and seems to be most players “go-to 50 dunk”. There are so many videos of creative dunks they should try some of those instead of the same dunks every year.

I think not because the judges make personal score for each dunker so, can't be robbed, the judges make their point because they are good dunkers and have personal styles of favorite dunks.

@@anonymoon03 Anfernee Simons had the least creative dunks. He literally grabbed the ball from a place holder and did a basic 2 hand dunk. The 360 clutch dunk was cool but if your going to copy a player you got to put more razzle and dazzle in the showmanship. That last dunk where he "kissed" the rim was a basic rim grazer.

The dunk contest has been in a bit of a decline. At the same time, the judges are indeed too harsh. Especially when you have judges who couldn’t/were never seen doing anything close to these dunks. Seriously, all the dunks that Dominique Wilkins was getting 50s for back then are dunks that literally everyone does IN GAME now, and this man has the nerve to be giving some of these guys 8 and 9. That’s why some of the best dunkers don’t wanna be in it these days. And why we’re now stuck with some slightly less creative talent. So many dunks have already been done, and no one wants to risk trying something new and crazy because of the scores judges throw out
