One of the all-time greatest post-game rants. A lot of people at the time dissed Sherman for that as unprofessional. I loved it and told those "traditionalists" to go back to bed.
Never cared for loud mouth Sherman. Was a huge fan of crab out of tt and all the way through. In fairness they both had equal pro careers in my mind. A shame crab had subpar PASSING qbs in his career. Was cool when he paired with a young Carr in oak. But having smith who was never a downfield passer for the majority of your career doesn’t help. Was never given the chance to be the vocal point of an offense like he could’ve been. And I’m saying that as a fan of gore and Davis as well. Even cooper was the primary when he finally got to oak.

It feels like there’s 3-5 games that define each decade of the NFL, and this is one of those games for the 2010s. One of the last great defenses we might ever see matched up against their main rival with an explosive offense for a chance to play in the superbowl
49ers-Seahawks rivalry was basically the NFC's version of Ravens-Steelers rivalry between 2011-14. Two Top Defensive squads duking it out for Division Titles and Championship contention
As a Seahawks fan, I just remember how nerve wrecking that whole game was. It was an amazing game. That era in Seattle was truly fun to watch. Hopefully they replicate that again soon.
Fans were comatose in the 1H. They were TERRIFIED of Kaep. The 40 Yd Beastmode TD and the Kearse TD catch had the 12's in a frenzy. I need to watch the NFL re-wind for the exact play, but there was a pass that Russ evaded defenders and hit his target (may have been the Baldwin or Miller throw?). That was when fans REALLY started to believe "we got this". A+, 10/10, 5-star game.

If I remember correctly I remember the broadcast saying something along the lines of “The refs determined the play “too gruesome” to review which is just wild.

It wasn't reviewable at the time - I think it was already up for amendment at the time, but that just made it a no-doubter Resulted in no points though, so had much less impact than it could have
Bowman’s injury is the worst part for me. He was arguably the best LB in the game. He completely stuffed Lynch on that play. He and the Niners never recovered from this loss
....I really don't think so. Id put the 85 Bears, 86 Giants, 91 Eagles....probably the 00 Ravens too. The Seahawks had great players but they didn't have an LT, Reggie White, or Ray Lewis. The Celtics currently have a one point lead, but with 3.3 seconds left and no timeouts, the Hornets have a chance to inbound the ball and, if everything goes well, become the first of the four recent expansion teams to win a playoff series. To understand how we got to this point, we need to REWIND.
Some details this video didn’t have time to cover. In an earlier game, Kam chancellor absolutely annihilated Vernon Davis on a side line pass that is still one of the hardest hits in NFL history- Davis was never same player after that hit. Also Kaepernicks “jump pass” touchdown to Anquon Boldin over the fingertips of Earl Thomas is one of the best and gutsiest passes I’ve ever witnessed in person. I was 13 when this game happened and I come back to it all the time. I hated Seattle at the time mostly because of Sherm’s trash talk, but nowadays that stuff is so nostalgic to me. The LOB was fearsome. Colin Kaepernick played some of his best and worst football in this game. He led an incredible drive leading up to the tipped INT. Kaep was dangerous when he was confident. His confidence just got the better of him against the best of the best. I still am a fan of his for the way he played the game, despite him now being known mainly for his activism. Needed a sharpie gate shout out at the beginning. Really the first division rivals moment in the Seahawks' first year in NFC West and first MNF game at Seahawks/Quest/Century Link/Lumen Field...even if they were few and far between from then and the Caroll/Harbaugh days.
I was at this game with my dad, that atmosphere was unlike anything I have ever experienced and I’ve been to some great games… tv broadcasts don’t do it justice how loud that stadium is during every defensive snap
Sherman made such a great play on the ball in this game. I think the Tennessee vs. Georgia game in 2016 could make a cool Rewinder, 2 Hail Marys at the end of the game between two ranked teams.
I was at this game. When Kaepernick threw the ball it hung in the air for an eternity. 10 years later I can close my eyes and still picture with clarity the ball hanging in the air, and Sherman’s arm shooting up in the corner of the end zone. I will probably remember that moment for the rest of my life.
I vividly remember the aftermath if this play happening cause at that time my buddy and I were leaving a hookah bar from Richardson, TX and the outside TVs of the place had Richard Sherman and his now iconic Crabtree diss rant playing and I can't believe that was 10 years ago, time sure flies by
Everyone in the stadium knew Colin was going to pass it to Crabtree. Just like in the Super Bowl against the Ravens. Don’t go to your short yardage physical guys like Davis and Boldin who have proven they can go up in a crowd and get the ball when it matters. Force it to Crabtree like everyone knows you will do & blow the game.
I swear this is the second rewinder you’ve done on this. Or maybe it was a beef history episode on Sherman vs. Crabtree. Regardless give us a different sport for once other than basketball and football.
8:16-8:19 "Spoiler, these guys don't like each other. Surely, there's a video about that somewhere," Check the upper corner to your right and you'll see "And here it is."
One of Colin's dumbest passes. Why? Let's break it down: 1. Most important: It wasn't wide open blown coverage. What are you doing??? 2. It's 1st and 10. It isn't a 4th down "gotta get it" moment. You have chances to check it down or run or whatever. Anything other than "trying [Sherman] with a sorry @$$ receiver like Crabtree." 3. The ball is on the 18 yard line. You are close to scoring and can still just get another first down. It isn't the time or the place to be chucking a prayer to Crabtree one on one. 4. There were 32 seconds left and the 49ers had two time outs. You can attack *anywhere on the field* with time to spike it or burn either of your two time outs. You can literally run the ball yourself,Colin, stay in bounds, get a time out and still have plenty of game clock *and* another time out in your back pocket. 5. On the left side of the field you have a wide open shot to #11 who could get 8+ yards and Davis is breaking open or could block for #11 to maybe even score. That last point isn't hindsight. Don't tell me that the QB can't see the whole field or whatever other crap you want. #11 is standing there because it was the designed play. In Football, you have the designed play, which has a built in alert and a built in hot vs the blitz. Colin went to the Alert and that was a mistake. The designed play was there to be made, and this is one of the many reasons he would go on to lose his job: He free lances, is a one read QB, and rarely executed the offense, especially when the moments got bigger and bigger for him. He was benched before he began to kneel.
We will never see a rivalry like this again. EVER. Meaning, this was the tail end of the modern, golden era of football, before CTE/rules changes really came in, and affordability to go see the game for an average family went out the window. I am likely biased being a lifelong Seattle, but I think the pass play in the subsequent Super Bowl notwithstanding, the Seahawks of the LOB era WERE the GOAT dynasty of the modern era. Shout out to BEASTMODE! You deserved it, brother!!!
Niners have always been my team & the 2011-2014 rivalry between us & Seattle was bad 🩸. We still don’t like them & they don’t like us. But Harbaugh/Carroll era was bitter AF
It’s been a mostly one sided rivalry. The Seahawks have dominated y’all most of the time since they joined the NFC West that most Seahawks fans do not really see it as a rivalry. I really do not see y’all any worse than the rams or Cardinals. I hate the Seahawks too if I were y’all 😆
@@whatjake7898 what they hell are you talking about? The ninera have been the seahawks biggest rival since joining followed by the 4ams. The cardinals aren't so much a rival as a wild card for them especially when playing in Arizona
Nooooo -- you have to include Sherman's impromptu presser after. It's the most magical part of that play! "I'M THE BEST CORNER IN THE GAME! WHEN YOU TRY ME WITH A SORRY RECEIVER LIKE CRABTREE, THAT'S THE RESULT YOU GONNA GET!!"
Looking at that play now that was Kolin fault.. the rule is if a qb has to throw to score on a fade route.. they must throw to the back corner of endzone just in case its an error pass ... smh
“Well I’m the best corner in the game. When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, THAT’S THE RESULTS YOU GON GET. DON’T YOU EVER TALK ABOUT ME” 😤😤
Being blackballed was the best thing to ever happen to Kaep's legacy. If not for that he goes down as just another ok athlete who couldn't adapt to the game. Even during this 1.5 season run where Harbaugh got amazing use out of him there were a lot of baffling reads and people pointing out big flaws in his game. His last two years gave us entire lowlight reels, prime examples of a guy who could not make simple reads or adapt to the defense. If he reacts like an adult to getting benched, or if america was less racist(Really the best timeline) he probably fades into obscurity, remembered as a disappointment if anything. A guy who had the tools but didn't do the work to learn the game.
The 49ers fought the refs that night too. The missed roughing the kicker penalty, the missed delay of game Navarro Bowman’s stripped fumble recovery that wasn’t meant to be. No doubt though that Seattles defense was legendary, but the 49ers did have some calls that didn’t go their way that could’ve possibly changed the outcome of that game.
the fact that 49ers targeted CRABTREE multiple times is HILARIOUS to witness! and crabtree being a sore sport at the end lol that was icing on the cake then the WWE style interview! never FORGET

Needed a sharpie gate shout out at the beginning. Really the first division rivals moment in the Seahawks' first year in NFC West and first MNF game at Seahawks/Quest/Century Link/Lumen Field...even if they were few and far between from then and the Caroll/Harbaugh days.
This is my all-time favorite football game right here.
Never knew Malcolm Smith was almost Mr. Irrelevant.
Don’t bring this up for me mane, dark times 😭
Man 49ers fans are excited and getting ready for the Super Bowl did you have to crush our spirits today with this video?
Choking for 28 years now….i think your spirits are well beyond crushed.
we like to keep them level
What can you say? If you try him with a sorry receiver like Crabtree that’s the result you’re going to get. 😂
I was at this game with my dad, that atmosphere was unlike anything I have ever experienced and I’ve been to some great games… tv broadcasts don’t do it justice how loud that stadium is during every defensive snap
As a seahawk fan that was on of the greatest moments in my life my 11 year old me will never forget that moment
This rivalry was peek NFL, 2 best team's in the league by far
Sherman made such a great play on the ball in this game. I think the Tennessee vs. Georgia game in 2016 could make a cool Rewinder, 2 Hail Marys at the end of the game between two ranked teams.
I was at this game. When Kaepernick threw the ball it hung in the air for an eternity. 10 years later I can close my eyes and still picture with clarity the ball hanging in the air, and Sherman’s arm shooting up in the corner of the end zone. I will probably remember that moment for the rest of my life.
I vividly remember the aftermath if this play happening cause at that time my buddy and I were leaving a hookah bar from Richardson, TX and the outside TVs of the place had Richard Sherman and his now iconic Crabtree diss rant playing and I can't believe that was 10 years ago, time sure flies by
Top tier content as always. Love this channel ❤
I never realized how much time the 9ers had on that last play, it was such a weird decision to go for it all
The early to mid 2010’s rivalry between these teams was tense.
Somehow I know that the Zayn Flowers fumble in the AFCCG against the chiefs will need a rewind video in 5 or 10 years.
Everyone in the stadium knew Colin was going to pass it to Crabtree. Just like in the Super Bowl against the Ravens. Don’t go to your short yardage physical guys like Davis and Boldin who have proven they can go up in a crowd and get the ball when it matters. Force it to Crabtree like everyone knows you will do & blow the game.
finally of rewinder of this game 😫😫😫😫
I swear this is the second rewinder you’ve done on this. Or maybe it was a beef history episode on Sherman vs. Crabtree.
Regardless give us a different sport for once other than basketball and football.
8:16-8:19 "Spoiler, these guys don't like each other. Surely, there's a video about that somewhere," Check the upper corner to your right and you'll see "And here it is."
One of Colin's dumbest passes. Why? Let's break it down:
1. Most important: It wasn't wide open blown coverage. What are you doing???
2. It's 1st and 10. It isn't a 4th down "gotta get it" moment. You have chances to check it down or run or whatever. Anything other than "trying [Sherman] with a sorry @$$ receiver like Crabtree."
Absolutely right, Kap is a one read QB. And in tight situations, he will crumble and can't improvise. Just like in the superbowl the year before
In the immortal words of JaguarGator9: "Welcome to Dumb Decisions"
No offense but Crabtree was a solid receiver in college...but he shouldn't have tried to go against Sherman.
Ya right. U seem bitter from the ass beatings the niners are giving them regularly now 😂
Gotta have the interview after. Legendary
This one better late than never 🔥🔥🔥 and We still need that 28-3 rewinder
Nooooo -- you have to include Sherman's impromptu presser after. It's the most magical part of that play!
"I'M THE BEST CORNER IN THE GAME! WHEN YOU TRY ME WITH A SORRY RECEIVER LIKE CRABTREE, THAT'S THE RESULT YOU GONNA GET!!"
Greatest Seattle football sports moment and it’s really not close
As a Seahawks fan this was great to watch before I have to watch the niners in the Super Bowl while we are rebuilding
Patten and Boldin were open and Kaep had to throw to Crabtree.
Just watched Flemlo's video about Brandon Browner being the forgotten member of the Legion of Boom and sure enough, this video forgot him lol
the greatest game of football I will ever see
Every time an NFL rewind doesn't feature the Cowboys throwing away another postseason it makes me so happy 😁
One of the best rivalries in the modern era
Looking at that play now that was Kolin fault.. the rule is if a qb has to throw to score on a fade route.. they must throw to the back corner of endzone just in case its an error pass ... smh
I love division rival games. Its just a different atmosphere. Go Rams!
“Well I’m the best corner in the game. When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, THAT’S THE RESULTS YOU GON GET. DON’T YOU EVER TALK ABOUT ME” 😤😤
Literally just watched the Sherman Crabtree beef history two days ago!!
Sherman shttalk was Legendary. And Im a huge saints fan and in 2013 we got LOB'd so bad TWICE!
That was a good game, but what made Donovan McNabb finish his career Untitled?
I would have sworn you did a rewind on this already, was surprised to see it was only 5 days old.
🙄
the fact that 49ers targeted CRABTREE multiple times is HILARIOUS to witness! and crabtree being a sore sport at the end lol that was icing on the cake then the WWE style interview! never FORGET
