I've been travelling Turkiye in my van for the last month or so. Turkish people are amazing! So welcoming and proud to show their country. Even in the tourist hotspots where you'd think they'd be sick of us by now. I love it here.
@@user-lv4ov5rp6d hmmm hard to say. I mean im sure you'd have a great time anywhere to be honest. Some places like bodrum and Marmaris have fairly... lively... nightlife but you can avoid it of you stay just a little outside of the main tourist drag. Im not sure though, I don't have kids so I don't really know what makes a good place
@@user-lv4ov5rp6d I don't think you need to show any privilege just because you have a child, you can see wherever you want, but if you want a place your child will like; •Eskişehir Sazova Science, Culture and Art Park •Vialand •Ankara Wonders Park •Travertines of Pamukkale •Gaziantep Zoo •Istanbul Toy Museum I can recommend these places
I agree. Turkey is awesome. I'm heading back next month. First time I went they attacked me with kebabs and tulum. Now I'm marrying a Turkish girl that keeps trying to placate me with manti and kadayif. Send help
+40 celcius and -40 celcius are possible in Turkiye. swimming and skiing at the same day is possible also. I am glad to hear that your van is ready for your next adventure. Trust Turkish mechanics. Safe travels🙏.

Dear Lisa and Joe, I wish you both a good trip and hope that you always meet with nice people. Thank you for including a famous artist like me in your video 😊 Kind greetings from Evrenseki/Antalya
When I was in Turkiye in the 80s, I wore newfangled ripped jeans. There I sat down on a wall, exhausted, and lo and behold, people came out of the shops and forced food and drink on me because they thought I was homeless. 😅🥰
In support of you two and all the interesting and helpful information you pass along to people, I have purchased your guide to Türkiye. Thank you! I have lived in Istanbul for over three years and I have enjoyed all of your videos about Türkiye
Wow, we are so incredibly happy to hear that our videos have brought, you joy and have given new information 😁🙏. And also we hope that although you live in Istanbul then there is still some new and good information in the travel guide 😉👍. Best wishes from the southern coast of Türkiye. Joe and Liisu!
What people seem to not understand is that only the coastal regions of Türkiye are relatively warm. Inner Anatolia is a plateau, which means it is flat but really high from the sea level. That's why it gets a lot of snow during the winter season. So don't get confused when you get cold in Türkiye folks!
What an epic trip! I'm glad you got there safely and got the van repaired--there were definitely some nervous moments! You've been having some epic adventures on this solo trip. I do think the issue of "rip off" is kind of a difficult one to broach. Some things just are unexpectedly expensive (like a brand unique auto part)--other things might be a factor of convenience (for instance, if a cruise passenger wants a custom trinket far from where it's manufactured then there's going to be an escalation in cost to compensate for convenience). I think the line gets crossed when there's selling without integrity--misrepresentation of what's being sold, use of coercive tactics, and so on. Those sellers flock, as you said--to the gullible, who are often tourists. But while that is usually not a representation of what is customary in a culture--I do why unethical practices targeted at tourists are tolerated by those who are authorized to control them (and I don't mean this specifically in Turkey, but throughout the world). Oh well, another great adventure, though I hope the next one is less trying on you!
One of the best videos I have seen about my country. It is quite warm and reflects the real life of locals like us. Much better than the videos focusing on just the touristic aspects of Türkiye. Well done, congrats!
My friend🙏 your kind heart and love for humanity overwhelms me. I have watched all your videos and I always come away feeling that there are no strangers, just friends we haven’t met yet. Thank you for being so genuine and pure of soul🙏✌🏻🤙🏻
Great video.as usual. We are in Turkey now, in Antalya. It's our first time, we were planning to spend 2 weeks, we decided to stay 2 months and we hope to come back.
i live here, moved from the UK and it was the best decision ever, if you move with money to buy a house and car, get a job to pay for everything else and you can live easily here. less racism, homophobia, and its cleaner, nicer weather, better EV charging network and friendlier people.
Heyhey. She was in school in Scotland for a few weeks but now I picked her up from Ankara Airport and we are again together traveling the southern coast of Türkiye 😁👍
i always find my self in bad roads while travelling türkiye ^^ but i wanna see the hidden waterfall!! reading maps comment is useful. also i live in ankara, i can help if u need help :)
Those snowy roads with full of trucks look very dangerous, you are lucky that you are still alive. Winter has no mercy in Turkey, specially in mountain. We locals wouldn’t go anywhere during a storm. Please be careful next time. Even if you can’t explore the city, you can still visit museums, sit inside a nice restaurant/cafe and survive, you know. 😂
Wish we could travel like you do guys. Schengen Visa is almost impossible to get. An obvious racism applied by your governments, each EU country, UK, USA... I usually feel that you never deserve our hospitality.

Where in Turkey should we visit if we have kids?

Conclusion: Turks are good people! Hats off to the great and kind restaurant owner!
