Thank you for sharing this informative tutorial, wow i never even thought of using a rotary cutter, i've been using scissors, which was taking a good bit longer & it was harder to be so precise with my cutting the lines straight & using the double-sided tape instead of glue, sounds interesting too, these are great helpful time saving ideas, thanks a bunch.

Hi J.M. Thank you for watching my video. Yeah, the double sided tape must surely be one of the most addictive sewing tools in bag making... 😄

Great tutorial. You explain things so clearly, Unni! BTW, you can adhere HTV to backside of vinyl, Leather or Cork, OR paint it with edge coat paint or some acrylic. I’ve even used a colored Sharpie marker. It works and is permanent. Sew fun!

Thank you Cyn for watching my video. Yes, I sometimes use a marker too, but it is too much on the back of the whole tassel. I wish black vinyls were black on the wrong side....

@@AnneBonneyBags Yes that would be nice. That’s why adhering HTV is a better option for me and quicker than painting. Lol. Sometimes it’s fun to use Glitter vinyl!

@@cynforrest Sounds great! But in order to use heat transfer vinyl, don't you need a special heat press? It would be cool with glitter vinyl inside the tassel. :)

@@AnneBonneyBags Hi Unni! No. I don’t have an industrial heat press. I use a 9” square Cricut Press - has a temperature gauge & timer. For small quick jobs I use my regular iron. While pressing I also always use a Teflon sheet (inexpensive on Amazon) or Parchment Paper (at grocery store). Press on a firm surface, not a cushy ironing board. A piece of wood, one piece Warm Natural Cotton Batting, cover both with sturdy cotton or “Silver” ironing board cloth (at fabric stores or Amazon) - wrap and staple to back of board. HTHs. HTV is so fun to use and adheres very well with the simple ironing tools described above.

@@cynforrest Thank you, Cyn! Can you press the HTV onto the wrong side of regular vinyl?
