My son was a huge fan. He played his bass with such passion. Blink 182 was one of his favorite bands in which he played covers with his friends. This song hit deep making miss him deeply. I lost him to leukemia. Music was his life. I thank bands like Blink 182 for making him happy listening and playing to their music. I hope to go see them one day to honor his life. I love him so much 🎸🎶😭.
This song helped my teenage daughter get over heartbreak. We are deep down the rabbit hole of ALL the pop punk, emo, metalcore etc…for which I am so grateful.

But after realizing Travis actually used normal sticks as heard on the record & when performing this song live. The brushes were only used in the music video to compliment the theme they were going after
I remember the day it debuted on mtv. I was getting ready for school and was blown away by how different it sounded from most of their songs. Not my favorite blink song but it’s still one of their greatest of all time.

I used to hate the song, hated the whinnyness of "where are youuuu". It took perfect timing before I could truly appreciate it. Back in mid 2023, the local radio station I listened to was playing it nonstop as tribute for their up in coming album... at the same time I had newly discovered Sam & Colby and was binge watching ghost hunting videos. It took me being afraid of the paranormal while continuously hearing the song, in order to fall in love.. the song helps make me calm again. Now its my go to whenever I'm feeling scared and alone at 3am. If ever I get haunted I'm just going to serenade the spirit with "miss you"
If you’re a blink fan you need to watch the footage of them after Tom lays down the rising swell guitar track and vocal for a rough first take of I miss you. They are all immediately aware they struck gold and they say something like “holy sh*t we just hit on something really huge”.
