I’m from Camden, NJ in grade school most of our field trips were in Philly. I always loved the Franklin Institute. Real nostalgia 🖤💕

Wow, this brings me back to my childhood like nothing else. Franklin Institute IMAX was awesome. The Sphere in Las Vegas has nothing on this.

My neighbor was Morris Schulik, but unfortunately he passed away over ten years ago now. He was in the orchestra for around 50 years and I believe held the title of longest time in the Philadelphia Orchestra.

The beginning music is just pure magic, the Kaleidoscope style imagery followed up with shots of the actual symphony performing this song it's just incredible. I loved seeing this in the Tuttleman IMAX theater in the 90s.

They used to play this before movies at the IMAX theater in the Franklin Institute. I always enjoyed it. Thanks for posting it here!

Was always one of my favorite parts of going to the tuttleman IMAX theater in the 90s, have you ever seen the version prior to this? Philadelphia Anthem?

This short was such a huge, vivid part of my childhood, Franklin Institute was one of my favorite places and I looked forward to this part of the experience every time. Years later it still gives me chills and makes me immensely proud of my city. Thanks SO much for creating it, and for making it accessible online! (I also used to be terrified of the window washer segment, haha.)

I can't believe I found this video a year ago. Huge childhood memories from Franklin Institute class trips. Been looking for this for a long time.

I grew up in the 90s watching many films on the Ominverse in the Franklin Institute and always wanted to see this opening again! Thanks for posting this! Also, my former next-door neighbor was one of the front-row violinists in the orchestra.

Wow, I am so happy to see this! This IMAX was playing while I worked there at the Franklin Institute ticket booth back in 1998/ 1999 while I was going to school at the Art Institute. Now it's making me sad because I had the BEST time of my live living in Philly. I miss it. I wish we had a time machine.

I remember always having to close my eyes at 1:42. I really felt like I was going to faceplant into the sidewalk.
Thanks for reposting. It brings back good memories.
