- Dollhouse miniature kit with working lights
This is a perfect gift for Christmas!
The instructions to assemble this miniature house came in Chinese. I had no problems following them, because the images are really good.
If still you need to understand what is written, you can use the google translator app, with your device camera (it will translate the text for you!)
I took about 4 hours to assemble the kit. And I love all the little details!
The tin box is just gorgeous! :D

As instruções para a montagem desta casinha em miniatura estão em Chinese, mas não tive quaisquer problemas já que as imagens são muito boas.
Se ainda assim, necessitar de entender o que está escrito, pode usar a app google tradutor, com a camera do seu dispositivo movel (vai traduzir o texto para si!)
Demorei cerca de 4 horas para montar o kit e adorei todos os pequeninos detalhes e o facto de ter as luzes!
E a caixinha em si é simplesmente linda!

Just a tip as a jewellery designer, I don't use glues often or tweezers as my work is generally bead and crystal stitched Jewellery. But this was a tip my father taught me as a small child. He did a lot of fine work with woods and inlays. If you rub Vaseline into the tips of the fine tweezers, (a very thin layer) when you pick up something and get a touch of glue on the tweezers tips, it doesn't bind to them but the Vaseline instead, it will just wipes off with a tissue, even after it's dried.

Back in the 50's & 60's these were called diaramas. I think every kid has made one or helped someone make one for a school or 4H project. Lovely wrk!

Jamie Krouse. Funny I should re-stumble upon this post. Am out of town visiting God Daughter. I took HER daughter, my Great God Daughter to a Butterfly Conservancy today. Found dioramas in the gift shop. Pricing started @ $60. No, she did not get one. Why, you ask? Because I refused to pay the $145 for The Wizard of Oz in a tin can.
These look much harder than any of the dioramas I built for school! Ha ha.

Back in the days, we didn't have these miniature sets for our drafting class. We had to start from scratch to make house models. It was tough scaling down the structures we want. I feel like doing this again as a hobby.

I'm literally in the middle of doing one of these builds now (just stopped for a coffee).
I love doing them but they try me, especially the real tiny bits like beads for vases etc.

Great video! I used gell superglue and modge podge for the paper to wood. It takes 3 LR44 button batteries - got mine at the Dollar Tree.

The glue just wouldn't dry and it is a little wobbly ... nearly made me cry :D
But these little kits are so much fun ... currently working on my third kit :)

I used the glue that came in the kit and I loved it! i was the siliglue...
I know that sometimes these kits don't have the glue included...
Mine did not have the glue included .. I used superglue and it worked for most of the
parts , but not all of them .. :)

Lucy Intheskywithdemons liquid silicone glue is the best for these kits...when I don’t have it I use white glue and the T8000 (this one is great on fabrics)
As I am from Germany, I am not sure if I can get these here.
I ordered some modell building glue ( ? :D ? ) and hope to get better results with that.
But thank you for the tip - I will have a look and see what I can find over here :)

I love bunnies, but I'd probably leave them out, as they just feel to big and goofy for this beautiful miniature. I know it is bunny related, but they just don't look right, maybe if they were not so chunky, everything else looks delicate and they are not.
if you order it they are actually tiny, I was surprised when I received my kit.

Yes, so much work involved to have simply the word 'across' misspelled. Ruins it because it's so prominent
My thoughts exactly, it spoils the finished piece for me 😢I've got 2 coming but I'm tempted to type out the story on a slip of paper over the top of it. It's not their fault, they are very clever for doing such detailed models and designs but yeah the writing has just as much meaning as the finished display so needs more accuracy.
Just buy some cheap thin photo paper, scan the whole thing and select 1:1 in your scanner, open it in paint or another image editor. And create a white filled square over the top of the text, then just correct the text and print to 1:1 Linda

This is an adorable kit! They need to fix their English writing on the card that attaches to the top inside part of the tin, but other than that it looks great!
