I love hearing celebrity origin stories. I'm almost the same age as Knoxville, spent all of my 20s living in LA. I knew so many people who were grinding to get into show business, but it's practically impossible. I really does come down to luck, such as having the right neighbor or some other kind of break. This is not to take away from Knoxville's talent or success. I've loved Jackass from the beginning, that's why I'm here. But it's crazy how things fall into place for the lucky few, and one trivial decision can alter somebody's entire trajectory.
This is true in life but especially true in show business. It’s not what you know it’s WHO you know. If you can make that initial connection with someone in the business already it will go miles further than just grinding for it.
It really hammers it home, considering Knoxville also wallowed in obscurity for a long time despite being charismatic, personable, gorgeous, smart, and talented. You can have everything going for you and work hard, but if you don't get lucky it still won't happen.
The way Johnny spoke to Steve O when he thought he was drinking really says a lot of about him. It was said in a caring and non confrontational way but also made it known that he wasn’t going to let his friend fall off the wagon right in front of him. You can tell he cares for Steve O a lot and has also been through this many times with him already 😂

Best part of this episode was Steve telling Johnny that they should hang out more and spend time with each other. Ppl talk about greatest tv families.... I literally just saw the other Knoxville episode for the first time earlier tonight and I don't think steve-o over talked at all! I freaking loved that ep and thought he helped significantly with the pacing by telling his perspective, especially considering Johnny may have still been a tiny bit banged up. I love that Steve-o can laugh at himself and continue to grow in sobriety though, so if you think it'll improve the pod then go for it steve-o. Either way, that was one of the most engaging podcasts I've listened to, and the love they shared at that end part had me in tears. "You scratched my CD"
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I literally just saw the other Knoxville episode for the first time earlier tonight and I don't think steve-o over talked at all! I freaking loved that ep and thought he helped significantly with the pacing by telling his perspective, especially considering Johnny may have still been a tiny bit banged up. I love that Steve-o can laugh at himself and continue to grow in sobriety though, so if you think it'll improve the pod then go for it steve-o.
Either way, that was one of the most engaging podcasts I've listened to, and the love they shared at that end part had me in tears. Knoxville's and also Brandon Novak's episodes have officially gotten me hooked as a subscriber. Keep it up guys much love and thanks 👍❤
Johnny is looking more and more like a real life Beavis as he ages.
Johnney checking SteveO when he open the Liquid Death confusing it for a beer is so amazing and good on him for watching out for his friend, that was so fast and immediate
I LOVE the amount that Steveo talks! We are all here mainly because of Steveo, so keep being you Bro!
Man, if I hear about his celibacy story or him seeing ghosts walking through walls again, I'm gonna... 😂
Definitely NOT here for Steve O, we are here for the guests. The stats prove this.
My daughter met Johny and she said he was nicest guy. Very humble guy.
They shouldve hired steveo to play the little alien head on knoxvilles back in MIB2
Great episode huge fan jackass was a part of my child hood will always be a fan of Steve o and Johnny Knoxville
DOPE! I hope Steve-O keeps doing stand up. He is hilarious live in person!
