Deputy Chief of Mission Denys Sienik was honored to welcome the guests of the concert of the legendary G. Veryovka Ukrainian National Honoured Academic Folk Choir The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
💬 "Ukrainians as a nation, our culture, art, language, our history are daily targets of russian bullets, missiles and drones. As I speak there is another air alert in Ukraine.
We are grateful to the United States, all Americans for everything you do to support Ukraine, for every gesture of solidarity with Ukrainians.
Together we will protect the freedom in the world, our societies, our history and our culture. We all hope that the US Congress will soon make another vital decision that will bring us closer to the victory", said Denys Sienik in his opening remarks.
The audience observed a minute of silence to honor the memory of of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers and innocent civilians, who became victims of russian invasion.
Featuring Ukrainian songs, orchestral performances, and traditional dances, the concert program 'We Are Ukrainians' was created in gratitude to the American people. Compositions integrate music, vocals, and dance seamlessly.
With a membership of 158 performers, the National choir delivers captivating performances that celebrate Ukrainian culture.
