- This is a local classic found in fast food spots in Chicago. There aren't many ingredients in this sandwich, but it works so well together. Hope you enjoy this video. Let me know what you think!

I have been making boneless pork chop sandwiches for some time. Salt, pepper, potato starch fried in olive oil. Caramelized onion, mushrooms, topped with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato or avocado slice on a toasted Kroger hard roll . I do want to try smoking the chop then add potato starch and fried for crispness.

@@knoxavebbq Matty Matheson did a version of one (with thinner chops) and just on a cast iron and I tried my hand a couple of times. Definitely gonna have to try to grill a bigger chop. Definitely a simple but perfect sandwich.

It looks delicious, but I fail to understand the reason for a sandwich where the protein is bone in. Seems like it would be very annoying to eat.
my assumptions are that it's cheaper to get it with the bone on (less work to process it). and ppl love hearing that their food is "bone-in". like a ribeye vs a tomahawk. just my guess. it's also adds to the experiences of eating it.

Lol! I get it, I do. Especially as someone who’s bitten down on the bone more than once, but sometimes food is about the experience. It’s a great experience and it tastes great which is even more important. Lol. Thanks for watching. I would think the same thing too if I didn’t grow up eating it.

Not sure. My guess would be because it was cheaper to get it like that and then it just stuck. Haha. 🤷♂️
