I will comment again saying that this is great. I love seeing that you can do great songs by recording loops with natural character, and then arranging them in a great way. Plus, you 're combining synths with all these, in a tasty way! Keep going, you 're showing to other songwriters/producers (like me) what is possible.
I'm gonna be honest I don't always like your videos, but I love this serie! I like how you're not obsessed with synths at the point of wanting to put too much into your tracks! Just the right amount of everything!
Great Syd Barrett vibe! Congratulations for making such a quality video with lots of useful information and great taste in instrumentation and composition!
I don't know him, I'll check him out thanks! I've been stuck listening to the same group of artists for a while now so I need to do a better job at discovering something different, so suggestions are always welcome.
honestly man this is what i wanted you to do all along with this channel... it's nice to mix these acoustic sounds with synth, reminds me of Beck and some other good stuff.
Great composition skills, nice voice, beautiful harmonies, and an imagination that makes an Amazing song that transports me to another plane. I want those skills!!!SUSCRIBED!!!
ahh man, this was really good too, just like the last one, can't wait to hear the whole album...keep it up brother I really love the vibes of these tracks :)
nice melodies, and my God that MS-10 is so sweet. Also the drums sounded way better in the preview than when you were overdubbing, maybe that's the sampled drums doing their thing. Gotta watch more of these, it's really fun to see your process :)
Really great work... sounds so indie but seems to have many influences from genius non indie bands and different genres. Keep up with these great videos
Very nice! Your vocals and the arrangement are great for such chill atmospheric stuff. But it seems to me, melodica could be less loud, as ms-20 but it sounds quite right, imho.
Thanks so much for breaking down this wonderful song! It helps noobs like me believe we can make music too. Can I ask what you did to create that vocal effect?
Hey, awesome video and marvellous song. Already following here and on spotify. Just out of curiosity: what strings do you use for acoustic guitars? sounds amazing.
What books do you recommend for learning the craft of recording? List all the ones you've read pleaaaaaaaseeee, it's amazing that you record and perform your stuff. HELP
Just great as usual! Nice touch with the Mellotron & Melodica. Do you start from scratch or you already have some lyrics/chords/ideas prepared in advance ? Cheers from Paris
Thanks! Yeah I had all the chords/lyrics written before doing these videos. But a lot of the synth lines and arrangements were improvised while recording because I wanted to keep it sounding fresh and not too thought-out if that makes sense.
Love this series! On the drums, do you record the whole song straight through? Or do are you recording samples and small loops, and then programming them into the song?
Thanks for watching! Glad y'all are digging the this series. Follow me (Coatseller) on Spotify: bit.ly/coatseller_SPOTIFY
I'm getting Radiohead vibes. Good stuff man!
Great track! Has a Beatles vibe. Really enjoy watching/hearing your creative process.
Kind of like Radiohead meets The Beatles.
My two favourite bands!
Beautiful!
I'm commenting this before watching. Episode two was my favorite song so far that I think I've ever heard from you. Hope this one is even better!
Really Pink Floydish/Beatles sounding. I love it.

This is a kind of song that I'd listen to for like 10 hours straight.
A little neutral milk hotel and Radiohead sounds with your unique spin. Sounds so good!

You are a real inspiration dude 🔥💯💯💯🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯✍️✍️
Man, I love this series! Being Canadian I'm sure you know of the artist Hayden? Has the same awesome vibe.
I don't know him, I'll check him out thanks! I've been stuck listening to the same group of artists for a while now so I need to do a better job at discovering something different, so suggestions are always welcome.
i got this feeling that this album is gonna be awesome!

YOU ARE A GENIUS DUDE!!!
I'm definitively going to check that album 😁
Thank you !

Excellent example of how you can get by with very little by being clever. You need a good mic and good speakers, and the rest is just creativity.
Yoo! Will you drop bandcamp/youtube as well? The album. Cause I dont have spotify.....
I do believe there's a link to the Coatseller bandcamp in the description
Yo yo! Yeah it will be on bandcamp (and a bunch of other places that distrokid puts it).
Awesome! Cause this is going on my ipod 100%!!!! Its reaaaally really good
Holy shit, I just subscribed to OUAS and then I see you on the comments. Big fan btw.
Wow, my worlds just collided crazy lmao.
Great composition skills, nice voice, beautiful harmonies, and an imagination that makes an Amazing song that transports me to another plane. I want those skills!!!SUSCRIBED!!!

awesome, glad you dig it! Can't wait to release it
Great series! I love it. Sounds great.
Impressive production, you got the ears for the sound. Great tune too.
What processing do you have on the vocals here? They sound really interesting and nice. Great video as well, loving the series
love this thank you for doing it
Can you make a tutorial on how you make that vocal processing please? I really like the atmosphere of this song..
Great record. And the process was hella inspiring to watch 🔥🤙🏻
These are all so great. Thanks for this!
These videos have been superb.
This is sounding so brilliant, can't wait to hear the whole album!
Great music, great work flow!
Im really enjoying this series!
i love this song so much !!!!!!
waiting for the melodica to show up at the end. The organic sound is so good.
Super nice track!!🙂

yeah the MS-10 is one of my favourites.
Love this.. Really nice vibe
Sounds like a summer ballad from 1975. And I mean that in the best way. :)
heh I love music from the 70s so I'll take that as a compliment.
Jai Guru Deva Om
That synth tone💦
Your chord progressions are very unique
Nice set man...
any hints on melodica recording? Such a buzzy instrument
Really great work... sounds so indie but seems to have many influences from genius non indie bands and different genres. Keep up with these great videos
thank you!
wow
I wanna be just like you when I grow up.
Btw, your best song on the album so far!
haha thanks!
which piano library do you use here?
Native Instruments Maverick
Very nice! Your vocals and the arrangement are great for such chill atmospheric stuff. But it seems to me, melodica could be less loud, as ms-20 but it sounds quite right, imho.
"goodbyeeee moonmen!"
Thanks so much for breaking down this wonderful song! It helps noobs like me believe we can make music too.
Can I ask what you did to create that vocal effect?
🙏❤️🎶🎵🎶❤️🙏
What's that vocal chain dude? Sounds really cool!
Beatles vibes
man i kind of preferred the song before the synths and melodica were added. it had a really nice, old school, minimalist feel to it
whats the name of the little white piano you used?
Kinda reminds me of the old Coldplay album
Hey, awesome video and marvellous song. Already following here and on spotify.
Just out of curiosity: what strings do you use for acoustic guitars? sounds amazing.
what vocal fx/filters are you using?
What books do you recommend for learning the craft of recording? List all the ones you've read pleaaaaaaaseeee, it's amazing that you record and perform your stuff. HELP
A tad louder music would not hurt :D - luv the series!
What piano plugin did you use in the bridge?
how to process melodica?
Just great as usual! Nice touch with the Mellotron & Melodica. Do you start from scratch or you already have some lyrics/chords/ideas prepared in advance ? Cheers from Paris
Thanks! Yeah I had all the chords/lyrics written before doing these videos. But a lot of the synth lines and arrangements were improvised while recording because I wanted to keep it sounding fresh and not too thought-out if that makes sense.
what effect do you use on your voice? nice sound men, your voice sounds like homeshake!
The melodica appears at 9:34
hey do you record the mix through the tape machine after or during the song process?
Beautiful! Did you just double your voice, or did you use some kind of effect?
looks like he doubled them, he has in the other videos in this series
Yeah I doubled it. In the chorus there are 4 vocal layers, one of which is pitched up an octave.
once upon a synth It turned out very well. Love the Beatles vibe and envy your knowledge of very different genres and the musical theory behind it!
I'm 56 years of age and still want to be a rockstar.I've been making UA-cam videos for 11 years.
Sounds moist af
What is that white keyboard?
Arturia Keystep. If you buy it here it helps me out: amzn.to/2IVcUvN
Goodbye moonman
Can I comment twice? Because I can't like the video twice, lol
lol! thanks
MGMT
I always like your videos too soon, then later in the video something else impresses me so I look to click 'like' but I have already done so. Denied!
😂thanks dude
transition at 10:48 was a bit jarring and could have been mixed better
Radiohead much?
Love this series! On the drums, do you record the whole song straight through? Or do are you recording samples and small loops, and then programming them into the song?
I think I figured it out. Samples, loops and programming. :)
