If you go direct, you'll need a cab sim (either in pedal or plug-in form), as the bricks series lacks the cab sim feature of the legend series.

Too bad it's being demoed plugged in a luxury tube amp that costs the same as a Twin Reverb. :/

true, but at least its mostly going into the power amp/effects return, bypassing the luxury preamp for most of the demo

Plugging into the fx loop return shuts of the preamp section. He's only using the power amp of his nice amp. So all your heading is the pedal. But, to this extent, he is playing through a nice tube power amp. That will make a difference. But the sound is all pedal when it says it's in the fx return there brotha.

I like it for the cleans and "slightly" gritty. The side switches make a huge difference.
