Zeus hissing at his brother for pretending to be a Serval. I would not recommend anyone to tease a serval, this is the first time my son has ever done this and I told him it will be the last time because they have a bond that shouldnt be broken. But at least I caught it on camera!

Zeus is a domesticated Serval which means it is different than the Servals living in the wild in Africa. Even though these cats have the same DNA and look the same there are some differences. A Domesticated Serval has been domestically bred in captivity for multiple generations going back to the 1960's. None of the Serval cats you see in homes today were taken out of the wild. They have all been hand raised for years in loving homes. It does take a special educated open minded and patient animal person to own a Serval. A serval is a medium sized African species averaging 20-60lbs and standing 15-30 inches at the shoulder. The Serval has been domesticated for over 5000 years, the ancient Egyptians not only had these majestic cats as pets but they worshiped the serval for its grace and power. This is a highly intelligent animal and as a pet is very much dog like.
ATTENTION:
Servals DO NOT MAKE GOOD PETS. Saying they dont make good pets doesnt mean they cannot make good pets.. Servals Require much more attention devotion responsibility time and money than any domestic pet or hybrid.
A Serval is solitary by nature and will roam up to 4 square miles which it claims as its own territory. ALL Servals (male and female) SPRAY to mark their territory wether they are altered or not. So yes, they will spray your house, your whole house. Doors, walls, clothes, furniture, even you and your family. They will never use the literbox completely. Which means you will have areas in your home where the serval will relieve it self wether you try to train them not to or you put things in the way to try to get it to avoid it.
The Serval will live up to 20 years old and needs zoo-like outside/inside facilities with a large enough exercise area to run, a pool in which to swim and dive, and an area with lots of climbing possibilities. Servals will escape from anything that is not totally secure and are unlikely to return once having escaped. Servals are solitary by nature and like to travel many miles when hunting. They require a special all natural RAW diet with vitamin supplements and special health care.
Even if hand-raised and tamed, a Serval will never be a "lap cat".
Servals are only legal in 4 States and STILL require a permit and have guidelines for the size and type of cage that they need. Check with your state and local authorities.
I was just reminded of how humans learn. Generally the hard way! That cat is capable of teaching!
That is called 'playing with fire'. If your son has an extra face, continue.
An extra stomach and an extra throat too...
He deserves it
@@CookiesCritterCare child abuse
son looks chubby, plenty of meat to eat for the serval.
servals communicate through hissing, they're not always aggressive when they're hissing
All fun and games till he destroys your face.
way to break its trust...
+C Mitchell nah this was years ago. I've never seen him act like this besides this one time.
+ZeusTheServal think he was just having a weird day?
I mess with my cat all the time and I had him for 13 years . I was his ONLY buddy in a house of 4
Belal DarkneSS so occasionally smack a pet?
Whats wrong with spoiling your cat? It's not like their going to go out and learn some harsh truths about the REAL world. lol
this is a way to get attacked!
that thing is way too big to fuck with like that
its a normal cat and their teeth are smaller than normal cats LOL
+Swoovy - Gaming
lmao, a serval isn't a normal cat.
baaahaha its not a normal cat... for starters it has more wild nature .....because its wild!!!
its like saying a bob cats a normal cat just slightly bigger....uhuh sure it is!!!
And it's not the teeth, it's the claws what counts.
There's something about that hand gesture that the cat dislikes immensely. I understand, that kids want to play etc. but you must be careful, and be sure to be on good terms with your pet. These animals are very physically Capable, and if they get pissed off, they could really hurt you - even without meaning to. One quick swipe, and you could lose an eye. They are strong and amazingly athletic. Remember, that this type of cat often lives 25 years or more....so be sure to Make Friends, and keep it that way.
Pretty sure they are careful not to do that too much in this video.
i was expecting it to jump on his face the whole time
why people are so afraid about their eyes, really animals rarely are attacking eyes, only one species of snake actually is throwing some bio-chemicals at others faces.
Do these cats like to be petted and scratched, cuddled, and hugged?
It's because the hand positions resembles ears, and ears are a crucial part of any feline's body language. Ears up is interest or excitement, ears back is a threat display. Wide open eyes with forward ears means "I HUNT YOU".
That cat is ready to fuck you up. A cat that can defend itself in the land of cheetahs, leopards and lions is going to be one nasty kitty in a one on one battle.
the Cheetah is his big cousin =)
That cat usually avoided confrontation with its larger counterparts. Its more likely to run away then to attack.
Fuck that! Why would you taunt a cat like THAT? That cat would fuck you up in a couple seconds.
His back was up, you’re a very lucky boy. Hissing is a way of communicating for them, and those were hisses of fear and confusion, and would attack if it felt threatened
Wouldn't blame him
He also made his ears back as a sign of danger
If i teased my cat at all even for a fraction of a second, i would get swatted. That serval is going to demonstrate natural selection pretty soon.
kitten!
That's one animal I wouldn't want to fuck with.
Do you not realize you are giving him positive reinforcement for being aggressive towards you? You would not do the same to a dog growling at you, or at least I would hope not. Do this too often and he is likely to act aggressively in the future and it will be your fault because you made it clear to him that it was acceptable behavior. You should do some research on animal behavior and training before you make more ignorant mistakes.
it's the first time they have done this, and they were curious. it's not as if they do it every day as a routine. they have done it once, and now they are done. are you telling me that you have never scared ur dog or cat, by making a funny noise, and thinking it's funny? or even a child? no.
No I would certainly not think aggressive behavior is funny. I am a certified animal behaviorist. It is my job to know what is detrimental to the mental health of an animal. To own this type of animal requires a permit in most places. This means they should have gotten some sort of training based on animal behavior to prevent accidents that could seriously injure someone. This kind of aggression is very dangerous to reinforce.
The person taking the video literally asked the boy to stop teasing the serval because teasing time's over. Animals and humans tease each other and test each other's boundaries all the time. We don't have evidence that the people involved in this video do this on a regular basis.
Britney Flores this is literally the first and last time they did this, and you are lying if you say you hadn’t scared a dog or cat by making a noise or movement and thinking it to be funny. Stop overreacting, and if there was a problem here, then you are doing the opposite of helping, you are being worse than a woman screaming when someone gets attacked by a cat, making about themselves. Stop pretending to be so self-righteous
They should not have one in the 1st place. Its a wild animal. They are silly to tease it. Its dangerous.
It's like my dog when I put on a hat, she goes insane, its like she doesn't see its me.
Clark Kent with glasses... Clark Kent without glasses... It doesn't make sense to me either!
Yeah, I would seriously make sure that your son doesn't do that again. I know you have trained Zeus from a young cat, . . . but the Serval is still a wild animal and CAN hurt someone. . . . . as it acts out naturally.
probably thinks that you are mocking it
The kid is a contestant for this years Darwin Award.
Bad enough to not see the warning signs from a domestic cat, but that one, seems quite capable of inflicting a bit of whoop-ass.
Anon Ops
Huh? that cat couldn't kill ?
You've never owned a cat, have you ?
Why don't go ask in your local hospital emergency ward how HARMLESS all cats are.
Better yet do the world a favor and go poke a Serval with a stick.
brickley2000 are you autistic?
Anon Ops
Hell no.
I can't draw worth a crap.
It's because of a nerve damage injury I suffered as a child when a house cat attacked me.
+brickley2000 how old
I wanted him to win that award. The kid and the person behind the camera are real jack arses.
He's mean to that cat
mark my word .
1:00 that glare in the serval's eye was gorgeous.
Remember seeing this sentence in the newspaper? “Their partially eaten bodies were recovered from their home, animal still at large.”
Maybe, the cat thinks he's a weird new species of animals?
haahahaaa
No the cat thinks he's a rude idiot.
Glad Zeus didn't attacked him. Sad but it's hard to regain their trust as it'll just flash back one day and might be aggressive, hope it won't happen. Anyway, please don't ever let him do that again, the child might get seriously hurt. Take care.
What a beautiful animal! I got bumps all over just watching these scene, it was very wrong indeed.
"its your brother"
kid will be talking to a therapist about that shit when he gets older.
Your brothers got some balls, damn. I wouldn't taunt a cat who could kill me in my sleep:P
That's her son not her brother, the boy that is.
are u kidding me?!!! That cat could kill that kid or that Girl in their sleep or while they awake lol. It wouldn't matter at all. Thats not no ordinary little House Cat. We're talkin about a cat thats nothing short of a bobcat.
Thomas hudnut- read the description! It's her son
stanky6261973
I said it was her son..What is your question?
He must be the kind of Friend who's good at hissing!
People be like "this is clearly abuse it's a well known fact serval's have a fear of fake ears"
There's no better way to lose the love of an animal than by teasing it. That love will eventually turn to hate and fear.
*Facepalm* The comments act as though this cat was being sawed in half while the people laughed. People tease animals like they tease other family members. It clearly isn't constant or the mother wouldn't have made the kid stop, and if you watch the other vids, you can tell that these people care for their animals well.
Good lord thats a beautiful animal
Good lord that´s a beautiful girl :D
Manuel Alejandro Mijangos haha! thanks
Gee, how to mess up a cat. Utterly the wrong mentality, towards the cat, and more importantly the kid who will consider 'teasing' fun.
What was he doing wrong?
Prismic Kyubey
Teasing the serval may cause it to feel unsafe, meaning the serval can possibly get stressed and might even attack.
Wouter d.B. agreed
Prismic Kyubey
Everything why scare any animal especially your own. What is he doing wrong. WTF
dude just let him have fun. Everyone teases each other from time to time.
you should never tease the cat
and this my friend is why some people end up on the menu of they're own pets. That boy was a complete and total idiot for doing that to that cat just for fun. To the cat, the ears falling to the back of the head is considered an act of aggression and that cat will never trust your brother. I commend u for how you treat your cat but you letting your little brother do that was not cool at all. No offense to you.
you sound like a pussy....no offense to you
@@funtourhawk I couldn't really give 2 flying fucks what a troll on social media thinks of me. So no offense was taken. 😎👍🏾
@@bensonhall4life Nah I agree, its their pet not yours. What do you know about that cat or the family, sitting behind your screen?
Poor ol' pussy cat:
"The human is now senile and frightens me. If I show anger it may go away before I give it a slap"
I was praying for that cat to tear his face up so that dumb kid would learn a lesson. I hope you record when it does.
I don't think she would record that, nor let it happen, it's her son.
Watch her other videos dude. She already knows its more than that. Read the description, and her huge warning to people that it's a big responsibility. She's not an idiot.
Wild cats belong in the wild, or atleast balanced enclosures. Not housepets for people to show off like this... That cat will forever be stuck inside a middle class home for the rest of it's life (or until the milf gets bored of it anyway). She has no clue mate, not until an instinct one day kicks in (unless its already happened and she hasn't said yet, or doesn't care).
***** Just because you can breed something out of the wild, doesn't mean it doesn't have wild instincts.
You heard it here people, Servals are "house cats". Hahaa, fucking moron, honestly. Stick to colouring books kid.
If a NORMAL HOUSE CAT can FUCK you up pretty bad, imagine what this MF can do if it feels its fighting for its life. 😂😂😂
That beast is gonna tear up one of your faces someday, but he is very pretty
a serval has never killed or seriously injured any human being. thousands of domestic dogs and cats have done more damage than any serval has.
LasVegasBarbie
Yea thats true but i'm pretty sure you can't compare those numbers.
there are several millions of pet dogs and cats while there are but a few who keep a serval in their home, and most of those who do need to have a licence.
Its a beautiful animal tough, but doesn't it mark its territory in the house?
LasVegasBarbie Do they all tease THEIR cats too? I really doubt it.
I kinda expected his face to be torn off
Why would you want to provoke a serval?! You might as well poke a stick at a grizzly bear!
That kid was very fortunate to not get attacked! You could tell Zeus was very close to make the first move!!..
he wasn’t having none of that. He thinks a man is a wild animal that cannot be trusted and he’s always has to be alert.
All it takes is a human teasing an animal without harming it, just for a bit. It's more than enough to feed the animal rescue rangers/PeTA Recruits and get them to whine in the comments section.
Quite a very sensitive trigger these people have.
Amazing - Zeus is so well socialised and yet just a change in the young boys body language (the fake ears) and he reverts to instinctive behaviour. He is such an interesting animal - hope he is still settled and healthy.
Fake ears? Lol wtf
@@CookiesCritterCare Did you watch the video?
@@AxelBitz I sure did I actually take care of one of these cats I know quite well with them
That's one smart cat :)
get ready get your face claw off
This reminds me of that Batman (bad Man) parody where he meets Superman and somehow thinks the Commissioner is gone because of the glasses, and when worn he's recognizable.
This is a instinct thing cats and dogs have, they can read pretty well the behaviour on animals. Sometimes my cat had these weird reactions with me, for example, if I would walk funny towards him, he wouldn´t fully recognize me and he would put himself in that sideways, hair up position, but soon I would talk with him, he would imediatly answer back in a friendly manner, almost like "oh, it´s you" haha.
The other situation was if I I wasn´t using my glasses (I use them pretty much the whole time), again he would not recognize me and do the sideways "who the hell is this guy??" thing until I said something and he becomes all friendly. Weird...
Kid in the last episode: "... And now I am going to show this cool new trick to a tiger!"
unwise... not sure you know what you're doing, missy... an animal reserve has better arrangements for a wild animal like this... will you post attacks, once they inevitably happen? doubt it.
serval said remember i know where u rest your head at night dont sleep to hard i just might get u lmaooo
0:37 "careful cole".
She knew that wild cat was about to EFF that annoying chubby kid up.
I mean if it was a skiny kid it would be okay, but since he's... CHUBBY! You racist.
ferrariteddy Since when FAT is a race...? Don't misunderstand me. I am myself chubby but I won't accuse some jerk who insults me of being racist... Just of being stupid! ;-)
ferrariteddy racist? He wasn't being racist...calling one chubby is not racist.... look up the definition of race or racism
ferrariteddy Keep up the racist thing I LOVE it. It is fast becoming worthless as a label.
Mark McGrath Fast forward to the current year, that’s exactly what’s happening.
Jeez guys i know hes teasing it but CHILL I GET IT
Why film it instead of putting down the camera and correcting your child? Ever since people discovered internet video, sanity has gone out the window. Parenting too.
Are you not listening to the video? She's clearly correcting the child, and she might've been recording for other purposes than to entertain the masses.
lol there are so many correctors on youtube. have you ever poured over animal's nature? in the wild animals are constantly under the threat of death or a deadly injure. i think it's NOT natural, if an animal isn't stressed sometimes.
Сергей Рябченко A home isn't the wild.
Azara Gore Verbal correction without correction of behavior = training your child not to listen to you.
1lapmagic How do you know she didn't do something off camera? She was intrigued by the hissing and what the child was doing to cause it, it's like experimenting with things and finding out they make a certain chemical reaction - you're gonna try to duplicate it for the sake or understanding it.
Serval: Human's ears looks scary but ooh those nice juicy unprotected toes. Don't mess with me!
that cat will fuck him up
Also people say he is tormenting the animal, after being around animals in being around cats in general. If that cat felt any what threatened or scared it would've ran into a corner and agressivly hissed, or would have ripped the kid to shit. I really don't think you guys know what animal abuse is
good way to experience severe pain
Cat : don't play like that
it not his brother it is a human kid and a animal cat
She gave birth do a cat XD
The kid is an F1 Humannah.
I wouldn't be taunting that kitteh, he's actually big enough to do some serious damage if pushed too far...
If you love this animal so much why tease it?
Liam Sizer Views. And bad parenting and pet ownership. The purpose of owning an exotic animal like a serval is solely for bragging rights; “look at my beautiful, unique cat/pet! It isn’t something you’d typically see!” Argue all you want but if that’s not the case, why not get a domestic house cat instead? This isn’t a good idea and you run a sanctuary/rehab and have training and/or a degree in zoology/animal behavior, there is no real argument other than you want something cool. It’s selfish and detrimental to the animal while benefiting you. These people don’t seem to care though.
Liam Sizer I love ur mom and I tease her anyways
JulietRoseCapulet777 Who are you to tell what bad parenting is?
That boy almost got to see what the inside of an ambulance looks like.
People need to calm down, this family adores the cat. He just playing with it a bit, he didn't do any harm.
Cats are far more mentally delicate than they are physically delicate. Yeah, he didn't smack it but honestly this shit is far worse..
Shut the fuck up.
The look at the end.... "I'm going to my room, I'm not in the mood!"
Pissing of a wild animal is no good idea
***** but its breed is the attack on threatened type
Not good to make them mad, either.
I don't like to bother animals. This spoils them. I always prefer to win its confidence and consequently its love.
u must have gone mad.. lol
Dude serval cats have a sharp strong slap that could take out an eye
heard no hissing...
Your obsession with this wild animal will show you what it's true instincts are and how much it really loves you back. Could have your throat all the same
With all due respect to all opinions, with so many cats living abandoned in streets, shelters, or even waiting to be sacrificed (another word for murdered), having an exotic animal is an example of human selfishness and vanity.
I'm sorry, but I think it's a very stupid (and dangerous) thing to do to this kind of cats.
lol i get it he think that you may remind him of himself cause he puts his ears down when you put them up 😂😂
OMG my serval would not put up with this! Zues is super patient.
Cole, Remember a serval is a wild animal 1 generation away from its roots. They defend themselves & what is their's. I suspect Mama is this Fur-baby's hooman.
React first, never ask questions is that species motto.
Later that night, the Serval was seen carrying 2 bloody human ears out the back door.
😂😂😂 GOOD FOR stupide People!
not the smartest idea
Zeus is scary when he isn't hissing.
bad idea!
I hate people that think it's funny to make an animal distressed. I feel so so so so sorry for this cat.
And when it rips 5 stitches in your son’s face you’ll euthanize the cat, right. Word to the wise, don’t ever give kids the impression something’s OK just once. He’s liable to do it again when you aren’t home. Foolish!
Shut up.
When the cat tear his ass apart he gonna wish he never played around
THIS ISN'T SUGOI
THIS ISN'T SUGOI AT ALL
TANOSHII
Serval chan on ultra graphics be like
The kid is showing a threating/ confrontational behaviour. You're lucky Zeus didn't take up the challenge and attack him. SOME cat species may be domesticated but NEVER TAME, and quite frankly you should be ashamed for allowing the kid to stress out Zeus so much, its called animal abuse! and I'm not some "activist" who's ranting I have a BSc in Animal Behaviour and Welfare.

All these people dis like this but don't understand it's good to teach a cat to not respond aggressively in a safe environment. Granted the kid almost took it too far but, this is not a bad thing and I'm sure Zeus was fine and hasn't had any PTSD from this. If anything he probably doesn't even react this way anymore.
i wish it would've attacked him. then y'all would've flipped out "zeus has never behaved like this! what's gotten into him oh my god! who knew teasing a wild cat would bring this outcome!"
Never understood what owners torment their pets, they say they love, for? What is the purpose for this type of torment?
What is the purpose of scaring the shit out of your siblings every once in a while?
***** Or your own kids.
***** how bout the fact that they'll murder you in the future?
lol 'torment.' what the - hell - are you talking about... 'torment'... i really hope for the sake of humanity that you are joking. for the love of--
GTV2005 What a bizarre comment. You actually think scaring a sibling warrants them murdering you? What's wrong with you?
That's one cat I would NOT piss off.
This is not tanoshii
Damn ppl calm tf down, shes owned this serval from a baby,n read the description, she told her son not to do it again
after she filmed and put it up on youtube for lots of hits.
WE CAN ONLY HOPE THAT THIS CAT IS CARED FOR IN EVERY WAY & IN A LOVING MANNER... AS FOR THE SNOT-NOSED LITTLE BASTARD IN THE VIDEO, HARASSING ONE OF HIS FELLOW EARTHLING, A BEAUTIFUL SINLESS CREATURE OF GOD... I HOPE HE LOOSES HIS LEFT PINKY FINGER IN AN ACCIDENT, SO HE SLOWS DOWN A BIT AND LOOKS A ALL LIFE WITH MORE REGARD.
Being so lucky to have such a wonderful companion & treating it so unfairly... Shame, Shame, Shame on you !!!
Shame on you too for hoping he loses his left pinky. what a cruel person for thinking such thing.
***** Joe Dirt got a name change haha. I feel sorry for the animals that live with you. I bet there butt holes are all destroyed.

YOU ARE A HEADS UP YOUR ASS MORON IF YOU THINK THAT WAS PLAY TO THE CAT... YOU IGNORANT PIECE OF TRASH...
*****
wow man, chill.. take a deep breath or something. no need to get hot headed, we mean no harm.
From a behavioral standpoint, this is fascinating. The position of the ears (and tail) are one of the primary means of communication between both domestic and wild cats. Something about that gesture is unsettling to Zeus...maybe the mock ears (perhaps along with that body posture) is signaling a threatening or confusion message to him?
She loves the cat more than the boy
I understand you know more about servals than me but treating it like that isn't funny whatsoever once you loose a animals trust you won't regain it, you carry on treating him like that you wont have a 'pet' serval.
Cat was like "You think this is a game muhfucka? Ok, keep on. This Serval will stick several claws in your ass. Then what"
would have been funny, if the cat would have ripped into his face, when he leaned over.
won't be so funny when it tears your face off o.O Im all about cats but I wouldn't be messing with the likes of this one. It's a beautiful animal tho
Are you going to put up a video when that cat attacks one or your kid and kills them? I want to see that one!
so soggas use their ears to assert dominance
beautiful animal but god I feel sorry for the thing, stuck and confused in a double story building...white people gotta try and tame everything
Nothing to do with the colour of the skin, just idiotic people keeping wild animals !
Oh yeah his life just looks awful. Fighting to find meals, always on the lookout for larger animals and from every other of his videos he clearly isn't loved. He's in so much pain. Please won't someone do something.
Rabieh662 no instead you have some " straight OG from the hood gansta streets word up * making millions selling CDs and whatnot having lions in the backyard. lulz
Rabieh662
Haha.. how about Mike Tyson and his Tiger? Lol
summoniing look though dude just because humans like that doesn't mean the animal that has been bred through a couple generations has lots its instincts. it isn't a dog or a domestic cat. i am sick of people applying human wants and needs to animals that have no relation to them. stick a tiger in your house and it will still yearn to hunt and flee. ever wonder why wolves, such a powerful animal, are so timid when you stick them in your house? they need to hunt, they need the stability of a wolf pack, and they need not be taken from theirs as infants. imagine if someone did that to you, stuck you with people who knew little about you so you'd bond with them instead. you would be unstable, especially if you weren't a human, made to adapt to that sort of thing. wild cats, wolves, take your pick, aren't dogs or humans. instinct cannot be ignored for them, and it hasn't been domesticated out of them either. that's why dogs and cats exist. wild animals=/=pets, domestic animals do.
