Hei, just saw your vlog. Yeah it’s unpredictable weather here in Norway. Sometimes you get the 4 kinds of weather in a day 😅 But they say it’s raining alot most of the time in Bergen. But I can tell Bergen is one of the beautiful place in Norway. I’m living in the southern part of Norway 😊 Hope to see more of your vlogs ❤
Welcome to Norway, if you have problems getting a job try the airport via a work agency. they hired a lot of foreigners when i worked there, that did not yet speak Norwegian. But that was in Oslo. And good luck to both of you.
Velkommen til Bergen og Norge! I hope you enjoy living here. Are you learning the language, did you find a job and did you get sick of the weather yet? Maybe a future video will answer all questions :-)
@@ZoefontheMove I speak English everywhere, and everyone understands so no problem with that so far 🤷🏼♀️😄

Yes, very difficult: Up=opp, Warm=varm, Snow=snø, House=hus, Go=gå, Sit=sitte, Open=åpne, One=en, Two=to, Eleven=Elve, Help=hjelp, say=si, hop=hoppe, fall=falle, send=sende, Thanks=takk, wood=ved, cement=sement, window=vindu, jog=jogge, sick=syk, ambulance=ambulanse or 'sykebil' (which means 'sick car' directly translated). The list of similar words to english is almost endless, the counting system is the same unlike danish and french, and nearly all norwegian "import words" and advanced words are from English, or secondarily from Latin which English also takes a lot from. But yeah, english speakers must train a lot on the way we speak as pronounciation and even things like use of tongue etc. is a bit different, the way we speak is different. To us, our way is extremely logical though, like, to us, when we say "AAAAAA (a true vocal with no interruption)" english people say "Ay" - and Norwegian actually makes more sense and is SIMPLER. PS. By the way, there is also instances such as Road=vei, which happen to look like and be pronounced kind of similarly to another related english word - Way!
I’m guessing you live near Bergen? Right? Bergen is the rainiest city in Europe. If you don’t want to go out because of rain you’ll have to stay inside most of the year😅
I lived in Norway for 1 Summer & the only thing I didn't like was the rain.

Well 1. Norways summers aren't totally stable. Some summers are worse and more rainy than others. Also, 2. if one hates rain, then I'd recommend visiting Oslo and the entire coast down to Kristiansand, the weather there isn't that far from the weather in mid-Sweden, i.e. comparable to Stockholm and Gothenburg (and u should avoid Bergen, and the entire fjord and mountain part of the west coast+parts of middle Norway coast too). Maybe slightly more rainy than Stockholm, but not by much. And in fact, Oslo has sort of a special setting where u relatively often get very low or no wind conditions, and in summer that leads to higher temps than on the west coast, in fact higher than almost all the coast. Oslo has a weird climate with slight hints of sea type climate from the fjord, but just a little bit more inland or northwards, you get more inland type climate. So it's a mix of inland and sea climate - actually slightly unusual when I think about it.
In 1986 Stend in Bergen actually had 103 days. But to be fair: as long as there is minimum 1mm rainfall within 24 hours, it counts as a rainy day in the statistics. So it can rain for 1 hour and be sunny 23 hours, it still counts as a rainy day.
Norway is very beautiful.. all the mountain landscapes and fjords! And the work pays well!

How did you deal with the language? I was thinking about doing the same, but the language is so difficult.
