This is an excellent tutorial - thank you.
I used a small slip ring from a SAK and placed it at the center of the base /before/ beginning to weave.
With other paracord projects I found this much easier than trying to get that tiny slip ring on afterwards.

I've recently made a few lanyards for keys using the 4 strand braid, then I'd do the bottom with the cobra knot. What I liked about doing it was when I overlapped the cobra over itself, a visual of an actual snake starts to take place. I keep it by not going all the way back down the "body" so it looks a cobras hood. At least in my mind it does lmao

Hi, I just made one. Your tutorial way very easy to follow and unlike all the other comments I think you explained very well and I could understand every step! Great video:)

Yes this domo is rather fast but at the bottom right of your screen there is a settings button. You can slow down the playback speed to your liking. I use it a lot.
The tutorial is good and I plan on making one.
    Good luck everyone.

I use SAK scissors. They're really quite good on paracord.

Super helpful tutorial. If I wanted to make this but have the cord 3-4ft in length how much cord would I need to complete it?

The tool bag I have is an orca tactical molle bag, I just looked up EMS scissors on Amazon for the scissors, the lighter I use is an HONEST lighter that you can get off bored Paracord, if you look up on Amazon Paracord tool set you can get a bunch of different options for those two

You can do what ever length you want to basically. I’d start with one feet and train if it’s your first time you’ll get a feel for it pretty quickly.

It's really cool but you need to slow down

I realized today that I either don’t have patients for this or you go too fast. Too difficult…

Sorry guys. I’m gonna make another version of this video but slower!! I have a bad habit of going fast……

  • @sihammer7942
    @sihammer7942 2 роки тому

Slow down!!!!!!! You go way too fast, every time you do the weave you go too fast.
Snail's pace, making it clear which end you're using + where it goes, you do everrything as quickly as you say it, it's too fast to follow.
When you do a tutorial you need to imagine you're dealing with idiots + you go through each step slowly, slooowly, particularly something like this, where you've got different ends going over, under, + wherever.
It's easy to get confused, so it's important to break each step down + to go slowly so people can follow.
It's a common mistake, plenty of videos I've seen have made it, so don't worry about it, I'm sure you're next video will be spot on...........

Brooo slow tf dowwwnnnn. Jeezuz. It helps if you slow down and actually show the work you're doing, not just "bring the right over, bring the left over, up and through" while doing it at the speed you normally would do it yourself.. No one can see what you're doing, and it's a pain to keep rewinding 10 seconds over and over and over for just one step of the process.
Not trying to be or sound rude at all, promise. But when you're doing online tutorials like this, you've gotta pretend that your audience is made up of kindergarteners or people with learning disabilities. Instead of doing it at the speed you're comfortable with, slow down a bit, and when you think you've slowed down enough, slow down some more. Then, make sure you're really showing what end you're working with, where it's going, and how it's supposed to look.
Videos like this are easy to get confused on, especially when you've got someone trying to follow along with you and learn something new. So do your best to really demonstrate what each step of the process is, and after each step, show what it looks like then. After a few steps, maybe even go back and cover the last couple ones again, showing how you got where you are.
Its not just you, it's hard to teach, especially online like this. And I can tell you've got a knack for it, just need to take your time and make sure you're really demonstrating every step along the way.
    Good luck going forward!
