I think I saw every show they ever did in New York City (except one show with Blink 182). They gave me two of the top ten musical moments of my entire life. One, Tomorrow at Madison Square Garden when they opened for the Chili Peppers. Daniel's voice echoing off the roof of the Garden, what can I say? And this song at the Ritz. Daniel, when he was 17 years old, he was like a tornado on stage. The thing about Silverchair shows, the crowd would applaud. Usually at rock shows, the crowd just shouts and hollers. But the crowd at the Chili Peppers show spontaneously applauded. 90% of the crowd probably had no idea who Silverchair was, but we were so impressed by the musical excellence.
A serious rock band Australia can be truly proud of! Strong songwriting plus the talent and ability to perform it in the studio and live! World class for sure!
