Thanks for such a great video, I have the same problems with those batteries for the very first time using the "live 2s". But there's a charger for a 3.6v battery that comes with my order so I can charge the second battery while shooting. And the huge problem with getting out the motor batteries, I've tried a few times pulling in many directions, and I realized that press the batteries first in the direction of the arrow at the conner, it's easily to pull it out.
It still should be that hard to pull out the battries. Nice to know that a charger is now included. Did you buy this from the comapny or from Amazon?

I have the previous version of this. To remove the motor batteries look at the little arrow on the motor which tells you which way to push! Works fine if you push diagonally… However it is true that you don’t know which way round to put in those batteries. The fault lies partly with the terrible manual, which doesn’t mention this. I also find the unit disconnects too easily or doesn’t want to at all. My version is also supposed to connect by Bluetooth to the PDMovie 4 Fiz, but this connection was even more unreliable. Great to have a wireless option like this, but execution could be better. Currently I am trying to get it working after a year without use and the motor is jammed… These guys are coming out with an autofocus system for manual lenses, which looks incredibly exciting, except for the reliability issues I've had with their products, which makes me hesitate. Nothing worse than your focus system crapping out in the middle of a shoot….
Thank you this video!!! I was looking into this one and was comparing it to the smallrig Magic FIZ wireless follow focus. Do you have any other recommendations for a budget friendly similar to both this one and the Smallrig?
I've been looking. Sadly, this is still the best on that I have found so far. The new Tilta one is pretty awful. The screen is on the side of the follow focus. By the time it vibrates and you notice it, you have gone past your mark. The Smallrig is not one I am familiar with as I believe it is rather new. I may have to try this one. It looks pretty good. I like the internal batteries and the self-calibrating feature.
Yeah, the batteries are weird, but if they used AA on the motor, it would be too heavy and large, I believe their original battery only sell for under 10$, so not too bad. For the controller wheel, the rechargeble battery and charger are hard to find, but non rechargeble ones are eazy to find and also affordable, so not ideal but there are work arounds.
Just recieved my air2s. It now includes 3 batteries for the hand wheel, and also a dual charger for it, so the battery problem is mostly resolved. I'm actually surprised that it include 3 batteries now.
Interesting. I wonder if that is a change due to the complaints or whether it is a special kit they are now selling. The flat battery still gets stuck in the unit. Hopefully they have fixed that. Where did you buy this one? I'm wondering if it is a deal through the retailer.
@@Ranger7Studios I bought it from their offical online store in China, had to pay extra international shipping to Australia plus tax, but its still cheaper than ordering from elsewhere. I got the whole kit for around 300$ usd, and about 40$ for shipping.
I thought this unit AUTO focus as well
It has points that you can set, but does not do it automatically.
You are thinking of the LiDAR capability in the Live Air 3 Smart version. The one in this video is version 2.
Total waste of time.
