I enjoyed MK11, but they retconned Kabal. In MK9, Kabal only gets his speed after he's healed and repaired after being burned. He even says after he's rebuilt "This speed is incredible. It must be because of the Outworld magic." The only explanation, is that they used Outworld magic to give his past version speed before he normally receives it.

If he was black dragon then why did he fight for earthrelm and die when kano fought for shao kahn? None of this makes any sens

I believed that since MK 9 is a retelling of Mk1-3, Kabal was already a survivor of Shao Kahn's schemes and already been to Outworld as an ex Black Dragon lackey before thus he had a itty bitty experience of his powers (only this time, he does not get scarred by Shao Kahn's henchmen) which then lead him to leave the Black Dragon and joined the police force along with Stryker until he was nearly killed by Kintaro, this time where he actually gets his scars and Kano convinced him to join the Black Dragon again. That's why he already knew Shao Kahn and attempted to assassinate him as he forced Kano to bring him to Outworld and then he escaped again when he failed, finally realizing his powers. 2. This Kabal is in the Midway timeline era MK3 and brought by Kronika into the current timeline.

Jit, talk about Reptile and Baraka, since kabal “Served no purpose”. He had way more of a “purpose” than most of the other jobbers you have mentioned. He helped protect Earthrealm against Shao Khan and Sindel in mk9, along with Smoke, Jade, Kitana, Sub Zero, Stryker, Johnny Cage, Sonya, Jax, and etc, who despite all dying in the process, were nowhere near being considered a “jobber” as they each possessed their own unique individuality, including Kabal..

I'm confused. In MK9 Kabal only becomes Black Dragon and gets his speed AFTER he gets burned by... Kintaro? (I forgot who burned him). But here, he's working with the Black Dragons even though he hasn't been burned yet (I'm pretty sure he should be working as a cop with Stryker at this point if I'm not mistaken)
Oh naw fam, you got it all mixed up, I’ll help you out here. In mk9 we see Kabal as a cop which is because he is trying to get rid of his past of being a former member of the black dragon. Basically, he was a member of that organization long before he had gotten burned. Kano tries to convince him to join the black dragon again, after he and Shang Tsung help heal and recover Kabal from the damage that had been done, but Kabal just refuses and than proceeds to beat the mess out of Kano. Later, Kabal then joins Earthrealm’s warriors to protect themselves against Shao Kahn’s invasion!

The running theory I've seen is that Kronika gives him that power without him having to undergo the burn. Weird thing to not explain outright tho
