This is kinda a wierd question but how do you hit the drums so hard? Like is there any sort of secret for you can bring your sticks so high up in the air and still be able to play fast and on time.
From a physics standpoint I think having longer limbs helps bounce up further and come down harder. Just a guess but I see less short armed people doing stuff like this.
That's partly to do with the whipping motion that drummers do using the wrist. it's apart of the moeller technique, where the stick is being controlled by the wrist/hand and the stroke resembling a whip/slap. The power then comes from a combination of arms, hands and wrist. Stick placement and what height you set sticks at will also determine how loud/soft or slow/fast the motion will be. The speed comes from finger control, where each stroke from the wrist/hand is being caught by the fingers after it rebounds on the drum.
Amazing! You have such a power and solid pocket that it still blows my mind.
wow! awesome! I love that song.
