I REALLY have been loving the Caran d’ache Pablo pencils for details. I usually use my Faber castel polychromos pencils, but adding some of the pablos for details was a game changer (and they’re pretty affordable!) Especially when using my ohuhu alcohol markers, the Pablo goes on top really well :)
Aesthetically, I've always loved how much color your work/videos have and love watching how you use the materials and how they come together to make the piece you're working on. I love your style. Overall, I find your content comfy, encouraging, and informative. You were the channel that revived my love of art. Thank you for sharing your gifts! 🥰 Also, I totally agree with you re: acryla gouache! 😅
My go-to's are Ohuhu Brush Tip Alcohol Markers, Posca Paint pens, and Daniel Smith watercolors! I also discovered those tombow liners recently and they are amazing~ I love that they write on top of all surfaces easily- something my microns always struggled with! Also got some of those Aquarelles, they are great for when im too lazy to get out my watercolor stuff!
I need to draw more but with 6 day a week work Sunday I'm so tired that I just watch something on tv.. but I'll go back with my art asap! I love color pencil and sketching with mechanical pencil too sometimes markers and crayons a little just because I don't see them when I draw, they're not always on the table
Beautifull dragons!! Nice to see what you are using. I love faber castell and the caran d'ache too. If you love to have a small, pointy eraser then you might like the eraser-pencil from koh-i-noor. I have several spread around because I love it so much😂🥰🥰🥰
You are so amazing I hope you know that! I love you and your work you always seem to make my day better and I always get so inspired by your art you are a wonderful human and I hope that this message makes your day better❤ I hope this makes you as happy as you and your art makes me
I can really recommend water-based Talens Grey set markers (Ecoline) - they are my favourite "go to" for quick sketching. Also if you do sketches with ballpoint pen - I can recommend to try uni-ball eye micro pens. It is sooo smooth on the paper and it also waterproof. And Lyra aqua brush duo really nice. :)
Amazing list and I like that you clarified the acryla gouache and normal gouache! My fave art supply last year is the Chosch acrylic brush markers! It's opaque like posca pens but I didn't have to shake it but I store it vertically with the cap on the bottom. It's such a cool markers that dry so fast in any surface, I love it!
I’ve never really liked prismacolor, they just break to easily for my taste. So I’ve always used fabra castle. I also just got a stillman and birn sketchbook, but I think I got the delta one, and in softcover. You’re actually the one that got me into watercolor :)
I love your dragons ❤️ My current favourites are watercolours (mostly van Gogh, because they’re so affordable and still nice), Ohuhu alcoholmarkers and some Lumanance coloured pencils that I use with either the watercolours or the alcohol markers. I sketch with a Stabilo red-blue duo pencil and have fallen in love with the TAC sketchbooks which I think is what you’re using in this video?
Thank u so much for ur videos😊 U mentioned in a reply that u recently traveled overseas to India. Maybe a video showing the art supplies u took w/ u (I'm assuming u did take some along). What do u take w/ u to anyplace, not just India)? Also what colors do u limit urself to when traveling? Type of sketchbook?
I use the same watercolors (Shinhan PWC) ! They're so easy to rewet and so pigmented ! Also love the Tombow brushpens, though I only ever use the harder one. I recently got some Neocolors but I'm still hesitant to use them, I'm afraid that they'll transfer or smudge in my sketchbook. :/ Thanks for sharing, your art process is so inspiring to watch and your advice is always appreciated !
so many good reccomendations, I might buy the Fluid watercolor paper, I want to try watercolor once more with a different kind of paper after I took a class and the paper felt quite nice to work with, I guess the Strathmore watercolor paper I had been using is just not that good because I always ended up frustrated after using it 😅
man i love those "adult crayons" too! i bought a set of 15 last year + some grey tones and have been loving it ever since
They're so fun to use!

Ooh I'll have to look into those - what kind of texture do they have? Is it softer or more hard?

I've been drawing a load of fluffy dragons too this month! Yours are so adorable
They're so fun to draw! And thanks :)

Yeah the prismacolor ones can be a little TOO soft sometimes!
I love your dragons ❤️
