The swing decisions the whole second half were perplexing. The whole team couldn't hit with RISP. We are the new Minnesota Twins. Can't win postseason games. Embarrassing.
The Orioles need a different approach when it comes to hitting. It starts with making coaching changes. A new hitting coach must be brought in. Next a different philosophy about what constitutes effective at bats has to be implemented that results in better plate discipline. Besides being too focused on home runs, the Orioles strike out at an alarming rate. This will only get better when hitters buy into the idea that hitting the ball to all fields will result in improved run scoring and much better stats relating to RISP. Relying on home runs as the major part of your offense is a fools errand, especially in the post season when facing better pitchers is a reality. Their numbers against the Royals clearly proves this.
As long as Hyde is manager, this team may get 90 to 95 wins but they won't get far in playoffs. If Boston gets better they may not make it in at all!!! This is sad, back to back early exits!!!
The Orioles had horrible luck. The Royals played great defense. We couldn't hit. I think something both clubs agree on is the umpires. Absolutely horrendous. There was about 7 missed ball strike calls for each team in both games. Like 30 in the series. Can't happen in the playoffs. We'll be back next year with a healthy rotation
They didn't really do everything they could do. Jackson Holliday didn't even get a chance to fail! Surely, he could have pinch hit or pinch run or something...but nope. On the bench, he stayed. With just about everyone in the lineup 0 or 1 for 5 with 2 or 3 strikeouts, it's not like it would've hurt anything.

Sorry ass shortstop..cant get a hit at the biggest stage... they did it all year I remember against Marlins he couldn't get a hit...almost got no hit against Detroit..thats when i knew the WHOLE TEAM IS CHOKERS
Who said he is the team leader?? Hes 23 years old he is NOT the team leader, maybe in a few years, the club needs a veteran playoff experienced team leader. He runs his as# off every single play and played in 156 games and he needs a B12 shot?

Didn't miss a game listen to every game on my phone radio didn't miss a game reason I had the radio is because me and my wife can't afford cable and I'm hard core ORIOLES fan since a child but I'm going say good bye after all theses years can't take it no more I will not ever watch another game of baseball rest of my life because of what they done this year lots of fans depressed I'm sure I know I am I stopped watching NASCAR and now baseball I'm like what Kevin Brown said the CURTAIN has CLOSED 😂😂😂😢
