Palhares’ downfall has been incredibly fun to watch.
I literally look it up every once in a while to savor every second. He is a scumbag
Totally. Guy is a scumbag.
Indeed
It’s a unanimous “fuck that guy”.
Agree
I think it's a bit hyperbolic to say Lawler really became "easy prey". RDA and Covington couldn't finish him in 5 rounds, the Askren finish was controversial, and even the TKO loss to Barberena was fight of the night
Agree.
I would've switched him for Johnny Hendricks. Went from nearly dethroning GSP after knocking everyone out to getting demolished by Wonderboy and Costa after losing the title.
No ubereem?
@@seanquinn8790 Ubereem is a really good one too, I was surprised not to see him either.
Robbie's always been Ruthless. He and GSP are my favorite fighters of all time. My new favorite fighter is Michael Chandler.
How is BJ Pen not on the list? From regadred as pound for pound MVP of the Sport to 10 years loosing.
BJ wasn't a scary fighter. He was the GOAT for a long time, but he's viewed like GSP, whereas they aren't scary.
The story of BJ Penn really hurts me. People don’t appreciate how much of a pioneer he really was. Just shows time beats everyone.
@@brim5792 He's considered by most either the LW GOAT or 2nd best LW.
@@TheChosenMoose01 Not necessarily most, newer fans remember BJ more for his losing streak than his reign of destruction back in the late 00s. Old school fans (diehards of Penn in particular) might still consider him as the best or one of the best LW's, but future Lightweight champions since have shown similar or even higher levels of greatness.
@@madgavin7568 Again, this video wasn't meant for the best who crumbled. It's meant for the scariest fighters who crumbled. BJ was the GOAT, but he wasn't scary
bro i can already tell ferguson is in this :(
💔
He ain’t

Shows how much you know, stick to finger painting kid. You'll grow up eventually
@@youknow2849
That sounded cool and all , but he's dead right casual
An angel gets its wings every time Palhares is ko'd.
A Pharmacy gets robbed every time Palhares signs a contract.
Johnny Walker is a rare fighter that went from scary to easy prey back to scary
he's one of those daron cruichshank fighters who either finishes you or gets finished.
Motivated Johnny Walker
either he gets finished or he starches you
@@AJ-pc9gu Overeem of today's light heavyweight
its just that light heavyweight sucks ass.
This is essentially the “hung around past their prime” list
My other sport is baseball, and I gotta say, aging fighters just hit way different in the feels. When a baseball player is past his prime, I don't have to see him get his ass kicked, he's just not as good as he used to be.
@@markzuckergecko621 I grew up watching Derek Jeter and it was sad to see him decline though he had some great moments past his prime. Dude was a great hitter.
@@drinfernodds AHHHHH Jeter was my fucking dude. I'm a die hard Yankees fan, since I was a kid. He was still pretty good late in his career though, obviously he wasn't as good as his prime, but he was never old and pathetic. His final season wasn't bad at all. Everything about his career was perfect, he knew when it was time to go, and he went out with his head held high.
@@drinfernodds ok, maybe not perfect, he should have been moved to 1B or OF for the last few seasons, his defense was pretty bad at the end. But he was still a productive hitter. So near perfect career, lol.
@@markzuckergecko621 Yeah, he went out on a walkoff win. I'm glad he didn't try to hang on when he couldn't.
Lawler shouldn’t be on the list, he simply just aged out.
All the other guys have something in common, muscular powerful guys who fade if they don’t finish or hold you down. Cardio is king
to be fair, he never came back the same after getting KO’d by Woodley
If they don't have juice*
@@yooowhatsgood I’d argue the fact he was fighting professionally since 2001, had two of the most brutal fights ever (Rory/condit) before that had more to do with that.
He also did look good vs askren and it had a weird ending
@@misocriallo4379 partly, it’s also just that it’s really hard to continuously win by KO and eventually you will be found out
@@Bickle121 yeah, firefighters eventually get 3rd degree burns
Rampage slamming fools in Pride was peak MMA. I miss Pride. That was my jam
Onefc gives old school pride vibes if youre into that sort of nostalgia trip
@@bigweiner4208 I'd say Rizin more than ONE.
Marlon Moraes was a monster and then started getting ko'd by a gusts of wind.
Rampage slamming people in MMA harkens back to his childhood love/dream of being in professional wrestling so he definitely was channeling that in his MMA career
Andy wang went from feared warrior to crying martial artist
All within the same episode.
BJ Penn's mock cry right after sealed poor Andy's fate.
Andy Wang? That guy was a warrior!
that was so wild lol. a decorated bjj guy and bj would always be like "we're gonna take him down right andy" and then the fight starts. andy sees red and just starts swinging like he has no sense at all. swinging and banging, or i should say swinging and wanging.
I think Garbrandt could've made a good case to be on this list
I don't believe his story is over yet.
wtf i just realised in my dream last night garbandt got knocked out by cruz in a rematch, what a strange man i am, or did it happen and im being stupid?
@@LTProductions335 it’s definitely over . A gust of wind and he does the chicken dance .
@@Manuel_Chinaski he's been knocked by some really hard punishers. I don't believe that.
@@LTProductions335 the only people that believe Cody still has a chance are you and Cody lol he’s not beating anyone in the top 10 let alone touch that gold belt . I bet pillowhands Cruz drops him in their next fight .
You missed some steps in some if these stories.
Robbie Lewler knocked out Melvin Manhoef in one of the Craziest one punch knock out come backs ever, before returning to the UFC.
His losses were all to top tier fighters. His skid wasn’t as dramatic as it seems.
Barao had health complications that stemmed from his weight cuts. They even had to cancel his initial fight with TJ like a day prior due to going unconscious in the bath tub he as using to sweat out some weight.
And Hector Lombard was old as heck when declined. Only loss that surprised me was to Dan Henderson cuz Dan was even older. I should have also added that to Lawlers story, he aged before his decline.
They all aged before their decline…. That’s how time works.
Lewler
Mma on point helped me become a bigger mma fan three years ago I found the channel out and watched every top10 video they had and to this day I don’t miss one.
I'm surprised Tyron didn't make this list lol
What many people dont realize is Chuck Liddell has one of the lowest ratios for control time allowed to takedowns attempted on him, despite fighting against legendary wrestlers and heavyweights in Randy Couture 3x and Kevin Randleman.
Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva was once 16-2, smashed Fedor, and was one of the scariest-looking guys just based on appearance alone. I think he'd fit into this list.
No disrespect but Bigfoot always struck me as a freak show. His stand up fundamentals were pretty weak and his ground game was non existent.
When he beat Fedor it crushed my spirit more because Fedor had sunk so low than Bigfoot rose so high. I mean anyone and everyone can get caught but that was my, "Oh... Fedors done" moment realizing my favorite era was long over.
A future MMA/UFC star is probably watching this channel. So much mma lore and facts this channel. Love the sport.
Tiago Santos isn’t fighting anymore since him and 3 other fighters tested positive for a banned substance. PFL punching the air rn😂😂
It pains me to say.... but my guy Cody Garbrandt at least deserves honorable mention
The fact the Palhares always held onto leg submissions longer just shows he was trying to cripple his opponents.
Dirty as can be.
Palhares deserves absolutely everything that's happened to him. Santos is unfortunate because he basically tore every ligament you can in your knees and his fighting style was very much reliant on kicking.
The downfall of Rampage was hard to watch because I was such a huge fan as a kid
Surprised Wanderlei and Johnny Hendricks weren't on this list
Palhares is the only fighter who I can truly say i'm glad isn't doing well. the guy's a psycho
Nothing about MMA excites me more than a great Judo toss. Such a beautiful martial art. You hardly see any Judo techniques anymore.
Yeah. That is because doing judo on an opponent that is actively resisting is very difficult. You have to be super fast.
@@albertlevins9191 Competitive judo is against an opponent that is actively resisting, so it is more about timing than speed. But getting the "imbalancing" aspect of gi grappling without a gi can be a bit tricky, but it's still possible. Most of these judo techniques are also there in other forms of wrestling and grappling.
Re: 8:22 would love a TRT FC - like PRIDE but just upfront about it. PED up all that you want with a Doctor’s supervision, and fight. Would help keep it out of other promotions and give people the “enhanced” fights that they want.
I like the way you think.
love y’all’s channel
We’ll done guys, that was a quality video, I really enjoyed that 👍🏻👍🏻
That Leo cameo at 7:34 was S tier
Quick and the Dead, a lesser known Sharon Stone crotch shot.
I can't believe Anderson Silva is not on this list
Very strong correlation with reduced quality and the ageing process. Also a very strong correlation with sudden drop in quality and USADA's introduction.
MMA Right On Point 💯
''Easy prey'' is very relative: most of these men could still murder me with one hand and their eyes closed.
Yo is that 1 million followers! When did that happen?! Congratulations yall
Yeah and these fools actually did a top 10 houses sold by AL Iaquinta for the 1 million mark.😂😂😂
I mean Lawler isn't gonna fight for a belt again but the dude shows up and puts on a show, I think easy prey is a mislabel. If he is on a card, I am far more likely to watch it because I know it's likely gonna be a good fight. If he was easy prey I wouldn't even watch it.
Nobody's search bar.... Ben Rosets sick beats
MMA on point and my morning coffee ☕️
Issa vibe brother seize the day 👊
I love looking at fights from Burger King Fighting Championship! ❤️
Oh man the TRT Belfort was scary and makes me think of how good Bisping actually was to think he was coming up and facing all these TRTmonsters between Belfort, Hendo ect....
Was waiting to see Hector Lombard on here. That dude was so scary in his prime before he went on his losing streak at the end of his MMA career.
Johnny Hendricks?? Scariest guy in mma to punching bag in the blink of an eye
U guys should do 10 fighters who could have been even greater if they started earlier in life (DC, Yoel, Pereira, etc.)
To this day a picture of Rousimar still sends shivers down my spine all the way to my achilles tendon.
I was so sure BJ Penn would be number 1. And he wasn't even on the list. Dude lost a street fight against some hobo.
Would love a 'Fights with the most pressure going in for a fighter' video !!
Finally somebody gives Alves his flowers for having vicious leg kicks. Pat Berry was another guy with big leg kicks
Baraos fall from grace was crazy watching in real time. Dominick Cruz was my favorite fighter as a kid and I was worried for dude when I Barao run through Faber, Wineland, and Macdonald like that. He lost to Tj and i was shocked and then he lost to TJ again and while I was less shocked I was still pretty surprised lol and then watching him lose pretty much every fight that followed had me wondering if he was ever even good.
I’m already crying lmao 😭
Thank For The Video 💞💗👍😍
Juicy JDS is one of the scariest humans ever!!!
Kerr always makes me so sad! Such a badass that happened to be amazing at violence and yet hated inflicting it!
I sill think he's worthy of being In the UFC hall of fame.
mcgregor is one loss away from appearing on this list
The first name that came to my mind was palhares
Wanderlei Silva in his Pride days when he was fighting Sakuraba was the most terrifying person I've ever seen.
Chris Weidman could be on this list. He was 13 and 0 until rockhold
Lol same day santos pops for something 😅 guy can't catch a break
These top 10 lists titles looking more and more like conditional probability questions 😭😭
“I always drink plenty of….. Mulk?”
Haven't started this yet but the biggest example i can think of is the iceman
HOLD UP MMA ON POINT: Thiago Santos and Three Other PFL Fighters Suspended after Positive PED Tests 😅 you forgot that detail
Damn, so Rampage was Alex Pereira to Chuck Liddel whobwas being Adesanya.
I won't even fight any of them on a bad day. 😂😂
Do the top MMA belt designs OAT. Cmon, it’s not like y’all have a shit ton of other ideas
Re: 16:13 questions about his ability to still “complete?”
Withiut watching the video, Overeem has to be at least top 3. There was a point where I would have bet on him if he was fighting an actual Sasquatch, and then he turned into a gatekeeper whose best path to victory was winning a technical battle because of his experience. Still pretty good, but nowhere close to the monster he used to he.
Ubereem the 🐐
Good vid. Remember when Reem lost 100+ pounds of muscle?
reyes and santos, 2 of jones toughest fights, suddenly turned into cans after jones fight. is it showing jone's age in LHW division, or showing how good jones actually is?
Lurking in the shadows like nosferatu... In tears
Love you guys but consecutive means in a row!! Also in the chapter list it says hennen burrell for renan barao!!😆😆
w MMA on point
Kinda surprised Tim Sylvia isn't on this list
Bro take robbie off this list now. Just knocked out niko in 38 seconds. He's not easy prey. Ever. And just retired at 41 on top. Best retirement fight in ufc history.
Big Foot could have been on this list
I was sad when rampage beat chuck he got me into mma and he was never the same after that
Great list but where's Overeem? He went from Ubereem to 'I felt a tap' fairly quickly.
Overeem started MMA in 1999, he's had years of battles.
Poor Santos, tested positive for horse meat right after going to PFL 😅
Great list but ffs where was CM Punk? Beginning to doubt the MMAOP crews ability 😢
Loved seeing Lawler win the way he did with his retirement
Wow. I remember when this very channel made a video hyping up Thiago Santos as the next big thing. And now here he is on this list
Unfortunately when I think of this category I think of BJ Penn. he was a BEAST when he was younger with the Uno KO and after he lost to George just wasn’t the same.
Wasn't Rob Wilkinson the guy who welcomed Adesanya to the UFC thereby retiring the guy??
Belfort took half of Brasils's supply..his ear drums are pure muscles
excellent list, it kills me to say it because I'm a huge fan but BJ Penn needs to be on this list. I felt that guy could walk on water, but after being Matt Hughes in 2010 could not win a fight.
I remember when Rampage beat Chuck Liddell I was so pissed off LOL.
Cant wait for Jocko Dilk to come out
The Protein Drink for Dogs
Alright DILK!!! 😅
How is BJpenn not on this list? He should be clear number 1. went from goat discussion champ to 8 fight losing streak can… with his final loss coming by way of KO vs untrained obese bar bum
I love the commitment this channel has to pronouncing “Jose” incorrectly year after year
1:57 excuse me?
Wow it’s like Vitor was juiced out of his mind and a danger to all who fought him, including bisbings eye…
There are other fighters like cro cop and mark hunt who became easy prey then became monsters again
Kampmann was blessed when Alves, for some reason after dominating the entire fight, with less than a minute to go in the 3rd, he shot for a takedown straight into Kampmann’s guillotine choke and was forced to tap, no doubt Alves would’ve gotten the judges nod if he didn’t get subbed .
Pains me to say this but BJ PENN should be in this, and high up 😔 Saw a comment about him not being scary but at the time he was the most intimidating guy in the UFC… and also licking blood off your gloves is enough to make you pretty scary 😳
Until the baddest dude at my gym doesn't terrify me, everyone in the UFC is on unfathomable levels of terrifying.
Vitor's first fight in the UFC was at 19 not 22.
Very good, I thought that myself. He was just a boy then.
Honestly thought Silva would be up there. Maybe not the kind of "scary" that they are going for in this vid
Yeah its more focused on guys who looked scary on top of being scary. Anderson looks harmless if you take away any context for him.
It’s gonna see Chuck make this list. The Ice man
Barao is the biggest slide that springs to mind
I'm brazilian and i hate toquinho (Palhares). Still dont know how the guy wasn't banned from spot at all.
