I was there and did finish in time. Chrissie Wellington was inspirational as a "Staffel" participant. Last hour Chrissie and Terrenzo Bozzone did the medals (Dirk Bockel was also there as well as Jan Frodeno), thank you! The new run course (2 loops) is hard because of heat, humidity and hills. The old 1 loop course around the canal was cooler and more steady and uninterrupted, no hills! The "Stimmungsnester" are now a bit too much? The long runs in solitude with occasional Party spots have been replaced by a lot of entertainment! Lovely people everywhere! For speed and cooling and solitude I enjoyed the old run course better (was there in 2011), can we go back? I cannot see any professional quickly beating any existing world records on this new run course. Also a lot of the amateur age group athletes did not finish this day - percentage? 25% dropped out? Well a wonderful race - nr 1 in the world - stay on top of things Felix! Good Luck.
