Thanks for anticipating my comment. I'd add that after him, big Brazilian teams brought foreigners better coaches and some teams started to try to be more professional like he managed Flamengo in less than one year on his tenure.
Jorge Jesus revolutionized brazilian football. In 2019, 15 coaches were sacked from their clubs, a record that still stands. Jorge Jesus was indirectly responsible for 5 of these firings, because all of the 5 were sacked after losing to Flamengo. These coaches were "exposed" by Jorge Jesus and everyone saw them as outdated. I'm talking about 3 career winning coaches as Luiz Felipe Scolari (won the brazilian league in 2018), Carille (won the brazilian league in 2017) and Mano Menezes (won the Brazilian league in 2013/2014). After 2019, every club was hiring foreign coaches, from Portugal and Argentina.
I discovered your channel only a few days ago, so if you haven't already, you should definitely do an episode on Abel Ferreira some time in the future. In a football league where coaches (unsuccessful or otherwise) usually don't remain in a single club longer than a single season, he is going for his fifth season at Palmeiras this January. Two Copa Libertadores titles, three league titles, one cup title, and other less significant trophies in just four years ahead of the club. Surely his teams aren't the most enjoyable ones to watch play, but without a doubt he has been the most consistent coach in Brazil in a very long time.

Jorge Jesus' Flamengo was a menace bro. Even tho my club isn't in Série A, I vividly remember how much of a menace this squad was and how sad Flamengo fans were when he decided not to stay. Btw he's the biggest responsible for the 2019 trendfans wave, which was the year when Flamengo suddenly reconquered its fanbase. To all my fellow brazilians, let's be honest with ourselves: Flamengo is the most trend-club ever, almost nobody outside Rio de Janeiro really cares that much about it, except for when they are in a meteoric season like in 2019, then they suddenly become the most present and passionate fanbase ever (lol)
I don't know there in Pará, but lot of people away cared for Flamengo here in the Northeast region, it just is that with the club success the fans became more vocal and active, the same phenomenon happened with Palmeiras and Atlético Mineiro and is now happening with Botafogo
In fact, in fact in the prior season to the magical 2019 Flamengo had the biggest average in paying attendance in the country, with more than five thousand of difference to the second place, I can't post the link here because fricking youtube will delete the comment but look it up

Marcelo Oliveira won the Brazilian league in 13/14
Mano Menezes didn't win the Brazilian League in 2013/2014. That Cruzeiro was trained by Marcelo Oliveira.

they took KLOPP'S LIVERPOOL to Extra-Time. it was a hell of a game. they hanged.
True, they were really on another level
I hope Jesus manages the Brazilian national team. If he does it, Brazil will come back to World Cup titles, no doubt about it.
