In other words, Kokona and Marin confirmed the existence of Marina, but they have yet to determine which planet Su is actually from.
In June this year, Kokona was asked in an interview about becoming SG president, and she said
“I thought I wouldn't be chosen, but when I asked the dance teacher later, she told me that I could take good care of everyone, and she thought that the student council president could be someone who everyone wants to support. There is a legend in Sakura Gakuin that former student council president Marina Horiuchi has diamonds embedded in her eyes! The sparkle in her eyes when she performs is amazing. I really respect Horiuchi-san, and when I became the student council president, people around me told me, ‘Rather than pulling everyone together, show your full power/strength like Marina.’ And I also studied by watching videos (of her). I am usually spoiled by people (dependent on others), I'm embarrassed to show my feelings and can't, but since becoming the student council president, I've been able to show (reveal) myself little by little. Thanks to all of you, I was able to grow, and Sakura Gakuin was a wonderful place, like my second alma mater.”
Soon after she happened to meet Marina while they were both doing photoshoots, and they took a photo together, which Marina tweeted on July 2nd, I recommend finding that photo.
On Oct 29, Marina will have her official “2nd Live”, and she has named it COSMOS. You can find the incredible Concert Logo in her tweet from June 30, it’s stunning and perfect. Stars and her name circle around an earth-like sphere of Cosmos flowers, shootingstars and a horse, with colours blending from dark blue below to light green on top and a tinge of yellow for Nano Hana like a sunrise. Overall it looks like a Psychedelic Cosmic Eye. The word COSMOS has many meanings, of course there are the two English meanings, the idea of Flowers extends her Nano Hana (bright yellow flowers) metaphor for herself, and she sang about someday sending Nano Hana into Space to turn into a song. It ties back to the 2011 SUN class with Saji Haruo who helped create the Big Bang Theory, and it ties with Marina’s favourite SG song Planet Episode 008 (in 2020 she said she wanted to have a space adventure with everyone again). In 2014 she said her Hobby was “Studying Space Science”. In addition to the English meanings of COSMOS, of course 秋桜 Kosumosu means Autumn Cherry Blossoms, used in the title of the 2016 SG stage play “Shuoh Gakuen Chorus Club”, which Marina performed in at a time when she was depressed (a fact which she referenced in her 2021 panel with MoriSensei). Of course the climactic song from the play was COSMOS, whose lyrics seem to recall the SUN class where Saji Haruo said that each and every one of them are made from Stars. After the play Marina became very emotional while talking about returning to SG, and said that Mirena’s comments to her character about restarting her clock, affected her as Marina in real life, thinking about her own clock.
She explained some of the meaning in a handwritten letter posted in September. “In the 1st LIVE, we took you on a journey through songs from Nano Story and more, where you could reflect on yourself, but in the 2nd LIVE, we will take a step forward. From the deep sea to outer space, as we adventure in various outside worlds, I hope you will enjoy the story. Also, time passes from Nano Hana, which are spring flowers, to Cosmos, which are autumn flowers, and it symbolizes the growth from cherry blossoms 桜 (Sakura) to autumn cherry blossoms 秋桜 (Kosumosu).
Thoughts on the stage. Ever since I was little, I have loved standing on stage and expressing myself, and I have always wanted to create a sparkling space where we can connect through singing and dancing. I would like to expand that even further.”
She went on to write something about Sakura Gakuin but I haven’t translated that part yet.
In 2023 Marina released a song called “Universe”. Although she didn’t write the lyrics this time, they feel personal, and it’s my favourite from her new songs. It’s about a Universe at the bottom of The Deep Ocean

It’s also nice how this all happened in the same year as Metalverse and various lyrics in The Other One, everything fits together.
