I find you 150% more relatable because you don’t have an all granite gigantic modern kitchen. I have a tiny galley style kitchen with next to no counter space, so it’s nice to see someone else who has to get creative with their cabinet storage.

so, if she moves and gets her dream kitchen, you won't watch her anymore? because she's not where you are moneywise, etc? this is such a silly comment.

For your junk drawer: use some box bottoms like cerial, pasta, etc, and cut them to the height of your drawer, piecing them together like a puzzle. You can make a custom drawer organizer that way and it's free! I did that in my first apartment because it had really weird tiny drawers that no store bought organizer would fit. It's not the most attractive solution, but it's inside a drawer, so who cares?
Your kitchen is super cute, btw. Congratulations on the new apartment!

Small wooden lazy Susans would be perfect in your spice cabinet and the shelves above. That way, all you have to do is spin to get to anything you need. Also, the utensils in that second drawer could be organized in a small hanging shoe rack (one for kid's shoes), just let it lay flat in the drawer and label each section. Check Amazon for both items. I hope this helps!

    • @SweetPotatoSoul

I've said it before, but I love that you can make sponsored videos that are relevant, informative, and enjoyable, and don't slap us in the face with the sponsored item. Your partnership with Thrive feels natural, but at the same time we can still watch and get information out of this video even if we never have an intention to shop there (i.e. i live in a country where it is not available)

Your kitchen looks neat and orderly. Since our small California home has a smaller kitchen we love our magnetic knife holder that is on one wall near the counter work area, since it keeps knives and other stainless work tools like spoons, whisks up out of the way.
We eat a lot of grains and things like wheat, nuts we store in quart or half gallon Mason jars in the refrigerator since they have a lot of oil and the coolness of the refrigerator helps prevent them from going rancid.
Being 'green' lifestyle we have over the last five years we have replaced plastic food storage containers when they wear out with glass Pyrex containers that have the silicon lids.

Do you have a recipe for the sourdough? It’s one of my favorite breads.

Hey! So sweet potatoes have been on sale at my local grocery store and I went absolutely crazy making sweet potato pies and what not. I found myself with leftover baked sweet potatoes and I didn't know what to do with them (other than unleash my inner fat girl armed with a fork and attack them all). I was wondering if you ever used sweet potatoes on toast...like a sweet potato butter of sorts? Or if you could come up with a recipe for sweet potato butter or something similar. I don't know if that is a real thing but the idea of such seems like it would be a blessing to man kind. Love your channel and keep up the good work...thank you if your have read my message!

Oooooh yes!! Try blending the sweet potato with a nut butter or tahini. I would probably add a date or 2 to sweeten it, and some cinnamon and nutmeg :)

For your long narrow drawer tool-box organizers would probably work well.
