I’m going to Bangkok next year only for a week on my way back from Europe visiting family. I’m gonna check this fish market out. I’m from Australia and a lot of these beautiful fish are very hard to get. Especially the clown knife which is my dream fish to own one day.

With a combination of UV light and a canister filter packed with lots of fine mechanical media i.e. filter floss and a healthy amount of Purigen you water should stay crystal clear if you keep the filter clean and do regular water changes. Filter floss is dirt cheap and you can buy it outside an aquarium stone under names like Polyester filling. Just make sure it's 100% Polyester or you could get some chemical nasties in to your tank and kill everything.

Use the BTS and get off at Mo Chit station.
Stay on the outside of the market and walk keeping the park on your right hand side.
You'll come to a street on your left that leads to both the Children's Discovery Museum on the right hand side (www.bangkok.com/attraction-museum/children-s-discovery-museum.htm) and the aquarium section of the market on your left.
The majority of the aquarium shops are open 7 days per week.

Kushagra Rottweiler's One more info may be helpful. The Chatuchack market, where the acquarium fish market is located, is open only during week-end. However, the aquarium fish market is open every day, entrance near JJ shopping mall.
